First capsule hostel”
Even though we were on our honeymoon, we decided to give the capsule style lodging a try. It was quite comfortable for me but slightly cramp for my husband as he kept knocking the sides. The best part is, the washrooms and showers are in the same floor as the beds. No need to worry much if you've left like your shirt on your bed unlike the other hostel we slept it, the toilet is in the basement and you have to walk pass the reception.

I was lucky to get a massive discount for my 2-night stay at this place. The building and facilities look new and everything was clean. The best part is the rooftop lounge with the perfect view of Tokyo Skytree. You can just chill there with a couple of drinks and snacks while enjoying the view.

We arrived and check in almost midnight and there was a ready staff there already. The staff didn’t look too happy or welcoming (maybe cause he doesn’t like working the night shift?) But the other staffs are nice and happy all. We booked the dorm room with the window, gotta say a nice view looking at the Asahi building. Beds were comfortable and clean. You can still hear people snoring and all bout that’s just how it is. You can get ear plugs from them. Sky lounge has the amazing view of the Sky Tree. It’s nice to chill upstairs. Downstairs you have microwave, hot water and vending machine. Nearby got laundry, convenience stores. Sharing toilet was surprisingly kept clean! Shower was great. Soap smells good 😂 toilets are all new. Walking distance to Asakusa station and the Sensoji Temple. Overall for its really value for money. Would recommend people to come.

Hassle-free check-in and check-out. Friendly staff always willing to help. Very convenient location in close proximity to convenience stores and food shops. Walking distance to skytree and asakusa temple. Shower, toilet all in good condition and very clean. 10/10 would stay again.

Walking distance from metro stations that will take you directly to both airports or shibuya crossing. The rooftop view is amazing. Beds are comfortable. and restrooms very clean.

Rooftop view is great. I booked last minute due to some changes in my travel plan because of Typhoon Hagibis. I experienced itchy feeling on my first night, I suspect due to beddings. Unfortunately, I forgot to feedback before I leave the next morning & I return almost midnight so I had same itchy feeling the 2nd night. The following day, I talked to receptionist, according to her, beddings are change every change of occupant or every 7 days for long staying guest. I’m staying for 6 nights so I’m not entitled to free change of beddings. After I told her my experience of itchiness then she graciously arranged to change my beddings that’s why I had a pleasant sleep til my last night. Really appreciate their action to my feedback. After 11pm, there’s no light at dining area, it will be great if they can provide even a small light just above the dining table so guest who return late & want to have some snacks can enjoy their meal/snacks with well lighted dining table. Staffs are friendly.

Thank you for staying with us! First of all, we are sorry for making you sleep in unpleasant condition, we go all out to find out what was the reason. Regarding the lighting, we pay extra attention to the noise that can bother the neighbors especially at night so we decided not to keep the lightning after 23:00. Playsis East Tokyo is pretty nice! The rooftop has great view that you can see Tokyo Skytree clearly! The facility is nice, so is the service. However there was no phone or alarm in the room that we cant attached the counter immediately. It would be better if each door has electronic lock. We were disturbed by our neighbors next room at night about three times. They opened our door and peeped from the glass on the door every time they passed our room. They did not stop until our another neighbor (in our room) came back and yelled them in Japanese. It is quit dangerous for female travelers.

The japanese style hotel is very clean, very quiet and comfortable to stay. The location is near the subway station. The bedroom, shared toilet and bathroom is very clean. Recommended if you care about cleanliness.

There are probably a ton of hostels in Tokyo to compare it with but here are the things I like most in Playsis: 1. Very pretty roof-top with a view of Skytree 2. Value - probably one of the least expensive yet well-maintained 3. Staff - super nice and pleasant interactions
