Very enjoyable holiday at the Flower Beach Resort with friendly staff and a good dive centre. ”
We spent our Christmas holiday at the Flower Beach Resort and found the resort well located, with clean rooms and good food. As divers we enjoyed diving every day at the Flower Beach dive centre and we will have fond memories of our time there.

Nice spot, a little isolated”
Enjoyed our stay at Flower-Beach, it is a bit of a distance to get to Anda, 2 hours by van ride cost us 2500 pesos or about $75. The rooms are a bit dated but then most rooms in this price range in the Philippines are. It was spacious enough, clean and comfortable, it even and had a desk and mirror for us women, a plus. The restaurant food was good, the breakfast buffet not so much, it was simply toast, jam and cheese. Eggs were an extra expense to be ordered separately, kinda silly. One staff member in the restaurant was fun, don't remember the name. The German owner was around often and pleasant enough but felt like he was always pursuing more business. Scuba orientation was a bit pricey, as was the transfer to get back to Alona beach 2800 pesos per couple. A long bumpy road in so access to the main road is a long walk. Motor bikes are available at 100 pesos per hour. You can walk along the beach on low tide to some other nice resorts for a change of scenery. Nice setting on a great piece of property and the infinity pool was simply amazing. Snorkelling our front was OK, but then Philippines is mostly about diving, snorkelling not so much. Our stay was very nice.

Very cool and quiet.”
the resort is excellent for those who want to relax since it is located in a quiet area. anda beach, with its very fine sand is comparable to that of boracay, is nearby. camiguin island is easily accessible via the resort. they have friendly staff. they have excellent diving facilities and a small private beach for exclusive use.

Amazing coast and scenery but resort only so so”
Flower beach resort is on an amazing part of the Anda coast, but we were disappointed with the resort itself. The food is not good and we actually walked down the beach to eat in other resorts. The room was ok, but I think somewhat overpriced. The rest of the resort is a bit worn down, but the staff are very friendly and helpful and overall we had a good stay.

Nice location, Resort is getting old”
we stayed three nights in the FlowWer Resort. The location in Anda, close to the beach is very nice und quiet but the hotel, its rooms and fascilities are old already. Actually the rooms are clean but because of the old furnitures and bathrooms it feels like beeing dirty. like in most of the places in the Philippines the staff is very friendly and nice. In total the room rates, food and diving were too expensive for the qualitity offered.

A place for divers”
We were a group of friends staying at the resort. Unfortunately, the weather was a bit unsteady which created some difficulties for us in the activities, we wished to do (e.g. snorkling isn't the same when it's cloudy and rainy). The resort in itself is OK, the food in the restaurant expensive compared to what we experienced other places and we ran into the problem of the kitchen not having several of the things, we ordred from the menu (including potatoes, minched meat etc.). The conditions of the resort is fine, even though small details would matter a great deal if they were fixed - e.g. the lighting on the walking paths to the beach bar, music in the beach bar, not having a TV in the restaurant, which is highly distracting). In total we enjoyed our days here, but would encourage others to adjust their expectations - this is primarily a place for divers

Great diving destination!”
the hotel is not a fancy or appealing place, and seems run-down and untidy at first glance. but the deluxe aircon rooms are large, and the location is very quiet! the staff does their utmost to fulfill extra wishes, including food (which was very good and reasonable priced too!) the small white sand beach is nice for swimming (turquoise water!), relaxing, and the diving is just minutes out per boat, and offers fantastic unspoilt reefs. the young swiss management couple is very flexible on your wishes, and it's hard to not get dive-addicted by the colorful reefs!!! lots of rare things to see! thanks to everybody for the nice time!

GREAT SNORKELLING RESORT, OR DIVE RESORT ”
I was let down, as We can during Chinese New Year, and the Price was high for what we got. But the Staff, and the Owner were amazing,. We had some small issues, like no hot water, and No water at all at some points. But if your a Diver or just want to snorkel then I would highly recommend this resort, wait till the price comes down. Don't get to excited about the accommodations, I hope the owner will do some upgrades, or improvements. But again, if you like to Dive, or snorkel, then I would recommend this resort..... cute, simple and nice. with amazing ocean at your door step. The owner is a great guy, he is always wandering around and talkative and helpful. Amazing clear water to swim in . Staff is caring and helpful.

Don't Stay at Flower Beach”
We stayed at Flower-Beach Resort for 4 nights. I immediately upgraded to a room with A/C. The A/C was unusable as it was so loud we could not hear ourselves think. Our only other option for keeping the room cool was a ceiling fan that clattered away all night like an old typewriter. On the first night the hot water was not working so I went to the front desk to ask for help. The fellow who came to help asked if I really needed hot water. No, I don't, but I'm paying for it, and it's nice when you're covered in sunscreen, salt and sand. Mosquitos seem to find their way into the rooms easily. As far as decor was concerned, the rooms seem to be decorated by a blind nun. Every table in the restaurant had a fake plant. In the tropics? The food was abysmal and unimaginative. When we checked out I paid some additional food costs and was told they would keep the change as a tip. Not very classy, and very embarrassing.

Very good”
If you are looking for a 5 star accommodation this is not the right place for you, but for us it was perfect. We traveled with two young children, and used the pool everyday. The staff were super friendly. We enjoyed our stay and the location in Anda.

Nice place; but tired”
Good location; very nice owner and staff. However, this property is in major need of renovations to compete with the newer resorts in Anda. Rooms are dated and need a total rehabilitation.

Could be so much better”
This place was obviously very nice when it was built but doesnt appear to be well maintained (like lots in the philippines). It was "okay" but probably our least favourite hotel in the philippines - just not a great "vibe". - The pools didnt look clean (even though we saw them put a pump in). So we didnt want to swim in them. They are in a lovely setting and could be sooooo good. Seemed to be focused on divers. Getting transport to go other places to do other things was confusing - one day they wouldnt take us in their vehicle and called us a trike. The next day they insisted we go on their trike. Long swim out (700m) to the reef out off the beach. + Food was ok for the philippines. Included breakfast was filling. Room was large and air con worked well. Beautiful beach (but watch for glass) and nice sunsets. In hindsight, since we werent diving, we probably should have stayed in anda itself for the beach and snorkling. Or paid more for somewhere with a nice clean pool.

Okay place, but overpriced.”
the hotel is generally okay, but the restaturant, the arranged tours, etc. are overpriced. the food in the restaurant is good - at least the local dishes (as these where the ones i had the most). the staff and the owner are friendly though. there is a beach bar, but it is not done very well (no music, not too good sitting options and no bar atmosphere). i would rather think of the place as an upscale (and very overpriced) backpacker rather than a resort.

Comfortable and beautiful beach in Anda”
Super friendly staff in a beautiful beach cove made our trip perfect. The rooms are basic but have a beautiful view. Food could be better...

Great diving operation”
The dive center is the reason to stay here. The couple who runs it are sooo nice and diving with them is really relaxed and they're good in spotting the macro life. I would dive with them again any day. As for the accommodation it's expensive comparing to what you get for the money. The cheaper rooms have the best location and it's a bit hard to figure out what you're paying for if you go for the more expensive rooms, beside room size. The restaurant is also quite expensive and they will ask you to pre-order dinner. On the other hand they did have proper rye bread at the breakfast buffet. The place is very quiet and relaxing, but there's really no beach to talk about. There is a clearing among the rocks though, where you can go out and have a proper swim and splash around experience. And the staff is very friendly and helpful. All in all, it's the dive center that would have me come back.

comfortable, friendly and nice surroundings”
We had a lovely stay at this resort, we didn't go diving but went out on a boat for some snorkelling which was good. The breakfasts were great as it was the first brown bread I had seen ages. The coffee was good too. The staff were super friendly and always loved a chat.

Flower Resort, Great for the Budget Traveler”
Nice location; Great staff - very helpful. The owner, Werner, very engaging. He even gave our group free dessert at the restaurant. This resort is under great competition from the newer resorts down the road. This place could be a very special place but requires upgrades to take to the next level.

Not worth it.”
The hotel is fine, the location is Virgen and not close to Anda beach/food market. The hotel tried to charge 125 peso for a ride there, but if you walk to the main road you can get a tuktuk for 10 peso. Breakfast was included, but we had to ask and on the second day they provided less food. It does have a little private cove/beach but bear in mind if you stay here it won't be convenient to go anywhere unless you have your own transport.
