Absolute Gem on the Mekong”
Fabulous hotel with friendly staff and wonderful facilities. Water in the pool was a bit on the nippy side, but nothing to compare to the North Sea! Beautiful view across the Mekong into Laos with amazing views of the mountains. First time to visit Nakhon Phanom and will certainly be making a return visit.

A great hotel at the Mekong River”
This was not the first time we stayed in this hotel. We like it because of the quality and the location just a few kilometers from the city centre. The rooms are great and the breakfast buffet is good.

The hotel is in an excellent location, right by the Mekong and a shortish walk (an even shorter drive or tuk tuk ride) from the centre of town and the temples and monuments. The breakfast was very good. Room service was EXCELLENT - such delicious food. If i had to voice one issue, it is that the hotel isn't ideal for the disabled. The staff assisted with a wheelchair where possible, but several steps were still necessary.

Wind in the windows ”
On the whole this was a very good hotel and reasonably located. Jut a bit out of town so walking to attractions wasn’t possible. The recently renovated rooms and other parts of the hotel were nice and the staff were friendly and attentive. However there were parts of the building still being renovated and a bit of mess around. The main entrance is via a very steep driveway (our tuk-tuk driver nearly didn’t make it up). The biggest issue we had though was the room had a window that could open which wasn’t part of the renovation. When the high winds came over the Mekong the loosely fitting window made ghostly whistling noises that kept my Wife and I awake all night on the last night of our stay.

Love the sunrise over the Loas ‘ border and the bike trail along the Khong river in front of the hotel. Breakfast is good. The hotel offers both western and Asian cuisines.

The fortune River View hotel @Nakhon Phanom is one of the Mekong riverside hotels. The view made me stunned. The room is clean, modern, and comfortable. I’m impressed with the big shower is very good pressure. The staffs including housemates are very nice and polite. The international buffet breakfast was delicious. I’m looking for traveling to the Mekong River and I’ll book this hotel again. However, as far as I’m concerned, the price is not quite reasonable. It's quite expensive esp. in high season. Note: there are no available toothbrushes and toothpaste in this hotel.
