We are family of 3 (child is 2yo) and the room may be small but manageable. And it is was expected for Japan hotels. Bathroom area is ok. With bathtub. We stayed for 6 nights and they cleaned our room every morning. And change the towels too. They have refrigerator inside. With common area at the basement floor for microwave oven and laundry area. The hotel is very near the higashi shinjuku station. And have a lot of convenience stores nearby. With restaurants nearby as well and fastfood stores. Staffs are very helpful too, 1 day of our stay, it was raining hard and we don't pack any umbrellas, they let us borrow one. Also, they let us leave our luggages after checkout since we are going out prior going to the airport. I definitely like our stay here. And will be back for sure.

We had a great stay at Apa hotel Higashi Shinjuku Ekimar. It's our first time in Tokyo, and the location of the hotel is perfect! It's near the subway station (higashi shinjuku) and from there, you can go to Tokyo's top tourist sites. It's 900m away from the main shinjuku station, quite a walk but there are a lot of things to see along the way, you wouldnt even mind, at least for us. Besides, you wont be using the shinjuku station all the time, since everything is accessible by using the higashi shinjuku station. There's only one elevator in the hotel, it's located in the quieter area shinjuku, near convenience stores, 500 m walk to ichiran, zundoya, don quijote, coco curry, etc. We really enjoyed our stay here. Some say the rooms are small. I agree, but for us, it was okay since we only stayed there to sleep at night etc. Overall, we would stay there again the next time we're in Tokyo.

The hotel was located in a quite area but accessible to the station which connected to other major stations. The staff had good English and the room was cleaned daily. Would definitely recommend and stay at this hotel again.

Stayed for 8 days and 7 nights. Very good location, 2 minute walk to the subway and metro stations. 7-11, Lawsons, Family marts are everywhere in case you get hungry in the middle of the night. Mcdonalds and tullys cafe are just acroos the street, vendo washing machine and dryer, staffs are very nice, quiet neighborhood. 15-20 minute walk to shinjuku station, uniqlo, bic camera etc..I'll stay here again next time.

Good location to get your bearings”
Really was happy about how easy it was to get to after traveling from the states. Very clean and comfy. I would just recommend wearing ear plugs, seems like they tried to address the noise with some dampening panels on some windows, but it’s a busy street and I think an ambulance route. We heard the ambulance often and at first didn’t realize all the ambulances have a ladies voice along with siren, a little frightening, very end of world sounding during this weird time to travel! lol

Good location. Small rooms but good enough. Great value for money. Only issue is housekeeping. Stayed 5 nights and no change of sheets, no room cleaning. Just bed fix and bathroom cleaning
