Staff was nice to help with luggage. Opposite the shopping street. Small and humble place but decent and comfortable enough for our 4 nights of stay. Futon was very comfortable.

It's a great deal for a room with private bathroom. The staff is so welcoming. Good location! About 5 min walking to Tawaramachi station and 3 min to Asakusa Station (Tsukuba Line).

Amazing Stay at Asakusa Ryokan Toukaisou!”

Location is convenient - very near Tawaramachi (Ginza line) and Asakusa (Tsukuba Express) lines. There are a good number of convenience stores and vendo machines in the area. You get your own toilet & bath - the bath even has a soaking tub! Perfect for taking hot baths after an entire day of walking & exploring. Recommended for travellers on a budget but doesn’t want to stay in a capsules or AirBnbs. As first timers in Japan, we really loved the traditional Japanese-style rooms. Arigatou gozaimasu to the owner/staff at Toukaisou!

I stayed in a Japanese style room. It is quite roomy. The ryokan itself is a bit old, but still functional and clean. Easy to find it once you use google maps to locate. Its near Sensoji, but far enough not to get in the tourist activities of it all. Con: Private railways/trains are only the nearest ones to the ryokan, so if you are using a JR pass, you might have to think twice.

Hotel bof”

Attention cet hotel n'a rien d'un Ryokan. (rien de traditionnel juste le sol qui est un tatami...) Hotel situé à Tokyo mais pas dans un quartier des plus agréable (gare JR la plus proche Ueno compter 10min de marche). La chambre était propre mais avait une odeur très désagréable impossible à faire partir même avec ventilation aération et clim. Accueille assez froid comparé aux autres hôtels. Après si c'est juste pour dormir ça convient parfaitement...

Hotel simple, et abordable pour le Japon. Ne vous attendez pas au grand luxe, mais le personnel y est sympa, anglais correct pour la plupart et emplacement intéressant dans le joli quartier de Asakusa. Pleins de petits resto a proximité, et stations de métro a 5 minutes (Tawaramachi et Asakusa)

L'hotel Toukaisou est très bien situé, près de la station Tawaracho - sortie 3. Nous avons logé dans une chambre de type japonais, la chambre était grande, avec toilette et salle de bain. Le personnel est très aimable et parle anglais. il n'y a pas de couvre-feu. nous avons beaucoup apprécié notre séjour dans cet hotel. le prix est vraiment très correct et bon marché.

Chambre exiguë, confort spartiate, pas de petit déjeuner ou de repas, c'est service minimum. Mais le personnel est sympa.

Hotel is perfect with great staff”

Hotel is close to the train station and the tourist spots. Staff is great and very helpful. Room is good, clean and quiet. However, they don't offer kettle for boiling water.

Budget hotel with great location”

I stayed in the hotel for 3 nights and really appreciated its great location. It was a 5 minute walk from Tawaramachi Station and within walking distance from Sensoji Temple, Don Quijote, ROX mall, convenience stores, and restaurants. The staff were also very helpful and spoke English. They gave me a map that showed the different tourist attractions and restaurants within the area. Check in and check out was also a breeze. The hotel room is small but it has all the necessities.

Near to Subway Stations & Rox Asakusa !”

Stayed here for 3 nights in a Twin room. This hotel is 6 min walking distance from Tawaramachi Metro subway station. Asakusa Metro Subway is further away on a 12min walk. Can be a bit tricky to locate as it is in a small lane. Rox Asakusa Shopping Mall is a good landmark to locate and can be found opposite the main street. Staff were friendly and approachable. Hotel's bathroom and toilet is small but this is to be expected of most budget hotel in Japan. Will be good if there's hooks in the bathroom however as there's no place to hang towels or clothes. Room was relatively clean and there's tea set, bath/hand towels, basic bathroom amenities & Yukata for nightwear. You can get drinking water at the hallway outside. There's also a fridge where you can placed your chilled items. Hotel is near to many eating places and Don Quijote. You can walk to Sensoji Temple & Nakamise Street in 8 mins. Will stay here again if I stay in Asakusa!

helpfull owner, old room but clean, ood shower n hot water, so we had a pleasant stay. walked to sensoji temple n subway station about 10 menit.
