Modern hotel with rooftop onsen”
Nice, modern (and apparently quite new) hotel conveniently located a short walk from Shimbashi JR station. All affordable hotels in Japan are of the same type - the standard Japanese business hotel with the very small, prefabricated bathroom. For larger bathrooms in Japan, you need to spend a lot more money on your hotel. I have been travelling to Japan 1-3 times a year for fifteen years and the rooms and bathrooms in all of the standard Japanese business hotels almost exactly the same. As usual this one was very clean and fully functional with perhaps slightly more space in the room than I have experienced in previous Japanese business hotels. I did not eat in the hotel so I have no comment about the food. The most interesting feature of this hotel is that it has a rooftop onsen with 2 baths, one of which is open to the sky. For the onsen alone I would stay at this hotel again.

Beautiful hotel, convenient location”
Hotel is fairly new. Excellent location. Very close to the train station (Shimbashi - 1 stop away from Tokyo Station). Easy to find. Lots of dining options nearby. Also within walking distance to convenience stores (Family Mart, Lawson’s) and other shops. The room is tiny, but very nicely decorated, very clean and came with great amenities. Breakfast had lots of options. There’s also a coin laundry which was fairly easy to use- and you can check the status of your machine through your TV. Overall, this hotel is excellent.

Perfect spot to explore Tokyo”
We booked a Corner Twin Room and there was an area to put our bags over on a couch that was by the window. Yes, the rooms are small, but it was fine. I really liked the spa. We stayed here 3 nights before getting on a cruise ship. this hotel is not close to the cruise port or either airport, however, if you have a few days book it. It is difficult to transport bags from the train to the hotel, but a taxi is expensive. Breakfast was very nice. I would stay here in a heartbeat if traveling to Tokyo again. Book early and keep watching the price. Book the corner twin room. It is bigger than some of the others.

I chose this hotel for the onsen and because my wife and I were exploring the east side of metropolitan Tokyo. I’ll start with the room - we booked a King room, the bed was a legit California King. But aside from the bed, the room is a bit small and cramped - but fair for Japan. Washroom was small, but who needs that when there’s an onsen? There’s no free late checkout and I was charged ¥2000 for an extra hour stay. It’s fair, but would be nice if it was comped. The Onsen was excellent: new and clean with good ambience and facilities. Other users were well mannered and followed the onsen rules. Definitely take advantage of this if you stay here! Quick walk to Shimbashi station, but keep in mind it’s a pretty busy and complex station. Very decent selection of restaurants in the area including some late night eats, busy hangout area with lots of young local business people. I would definitely stay here again or try other Candeo hotels.

Be aware of room size!”
For families traveling, be aware of room size and bed situation! Hotel will allow you to book a small one bed room for a family of four. Unless you are miniature, this will not be comfortable fit. Other than that, the location, breakfast and onsen were really nice and enjoyable!!!

Depends on the room, at most three adult can be available. Some of the guests want the big rooms, but some want a same room with family. Great location for a short stopover in Tokyo”
Sky spa is a treat. The facilities are clean and minimalist (positive). It is walking distance to Shimbashi station and a 20 min walk to Ginza. Good access to Shimbashi station from both Narita and Haneda airports.

Great location with public bath as a plus”
Shimbashi is a good place to stay & mobile around Tokyo. It's the center of everything. There are 2 train station nearby, thousands of restaurant & some are 24h, it' s a walking distance to Ginza & Roppongi. And after too tired walking, at night you can enjoy the public bath upstairs. I really recommend this hotel. (And also a few hotel allow children stay without additional charge)

Located very near the station and also a lot of restaurants around here. Staffs were very friendly as well! Also enjoyed a wonderful spa time, everything was clean and comfortable.

Great spa hotel in an amazing location with great bath on the roof!”
We loved the hotel, it is located in Shimbashi which is full of restaurants of all sorts and near the station. The view from the hotel reception was great, although the one from the room was a bit less breathtaking and it was a little loud outside the window. The room was spacious enough for two people and we loved the sky bath. The only downside is that compared to other hotels there were no amenities in the room like toners and creams but they were available in the spa. The staff very very helpful and offered to use the phone when we were in ciris mode after travel to Europe was affected by the corona virus. Wifi was great and came in handy. I highly recommend the hotel!

Candeo Shimbashi has a modern onsen. The hotel is cozy, modern and easy to find. It is close to many reasonable prized restaurants and pubs. I will return to this hotel and will consider Candeo in any other Japan region.

The location of this hotel was excellent. You get alsomost direct line to all major areas of Tokyo and there are direct line to both Haneda and Narita to/from the Shimbashi station.

It is in a great location, and the room is big enough to open a large suit case. There is public bath and sauna you can use pretty much all day, which was great after walking around Tokyo all day. I would definitely come back.

Fantastic, new hotel. Biggest rooms we had in Japan. Room did not have a safe. Very hospitable and some good environmental strategies to reduce waste and unnecessary washing! Will be back.

Key Card and Breakfast”
Everything was nice and the cleaning staff were super nice, but when we checked out, the staff wasn’t so nice when we asked if we could keep the key card as a souvenir. Also, breakfast closes at 10, but at 8 the foods already out, and it’s the same food over and over.
