Convenient to both Ueno and Okachimachi stations, this Dormy Inn was a great base to explore not only Ameyoko but the rest of Tokyo too. The room was clean and the housekeeping staff was super friendly and efficient, they made sure we had everything we needed. This location also had a communal bath on the 12th floor, which was great for relaxing after tons of walking. Also, every night between 930-11pm, you could go to the main floor and get a bowl of shoyu ramen + tea for free. I would definitely stay at Okachimachi Dormy Inn again, it was a great base of operations.

Convenient, functional, straightforward, with a nice touch of free supper”
In the middle of a very touristy Ueno. 4 minutes away from JR Okachimachi station and Naka-okachimachi station. 5 minutes walk from Ueno Park. Room is small, just like any Tokyo hotel. The room has a sliding door that separates the bed, the writing table, and the toilet, the washing basin. It helped to keep out the light if another person is sleeping. There is onsen and sauna at the rooftop. It has two small pools which could fit maximum two persons each. The onsen features “super-soft water” which is almost void of any minerals, making it very moisturising (according to the hotel description). There is free ramen soup every night. Simple, but it was a nice touch. We requested late check out but it was only possible at a fee. I guess this is the usual in Japan?

The location is just around Ameyoko street, there are lots of food and shopping.Nearby metro and JR and Keisei skyliner(Direct from Narita airport about 40 minutes).Staff are helpful.The supper ramen is good.The room is just nice for us, the concept of the room is nice.

Another Wonderful Stay”
This was my second stay at the Dormy Inn Ueno Okachimachi. As before, everything went perfectly. I like the location, because it gives me maximum access to very forms of public transportation, particularly the Yamanote Line, the Ginza Line, th Hibiya Line, and the Keisei Skyliner. I also have come to appreciate the restaurants and other services in Ueno. My room was immaculate and well-designed, albeit very small -- somewhat like a cabin on a luxury cruise ship. The staff was friendly and helpful. The breakfasts were excellent. As before, my only problem with the hotel is that it has only one elevator. I worry about what would have happened if the elevator were to have malfunctioned. (My room was on the ninth floor.)

The perfect hotel in Ameyoko Tokyo”
A small, modern, business hotel in the heart of Ameyoko, one of the most engaging and entertaining areas of Tokyo. Walking distance from Ueno station for easy access to all bullet trains and subways. Both (delicious) Japanese and Western style breakfast served every morning. Staff speaks moderate English. AMAZING Japanese style baths on the 12th floor. This is a Japanese business hotel, it has small rooms, and small beds and while it can accommodate couples, it's ideal for solo travelers. Very modern and an amazing price for the location and the quality of hotel.

Located right in the middle of Ameyoko”
I have been a repeated customer for Ueno Dormy Inn due to its perfect location. It is right in the middle of Ameyoko, one of the best shopping area for finding goods with reasonable price. its a bargain hunter's alley filled with goods and food. Dormy Inn is also a very established chain with good breakfast. Highly recommended.

Location is the most important element”
Ameyoko in Ueno is one of the most interesting place in Tokyo where one can find many good bargains. The hotel is close to a few subway lines, making it very convenient to travel to other parts of the city, including the west side like Shinjuku. Remember to try menya musashi, which is famous for tsukemen, located within the same block.

Good Location, Great Hotel to Stay”
Comfortable Hotel with good location. Free special Ramen every night is the plus point. The only con is there is just one lift and need to wait for some times but chairs provided for waiting 🤪 Definitely will come back again if visit Japan.

The room temperature can be adjusted, so it won’t be too warm. The hot spring bath is vey good, and free ramen as well. The breakfast just costs 1000 yen, with sufficient choices.

Location was great, near a bunch of different subway /train lines. Okachimachi can be a bit nightlife-y at night, but the hotel was quiet. Staff were very nice, letting me store luggage, and fixing a botched reservation.

Good location and hot spring”
The building is not big but it has everything we need, washing machines, restaurant, self-served ironing, snack machine and ice machine etc. And needless to say the hot spring and free ramen every night. The hotspring area is not big but sufficient I’d say. We had breakfast for one time during the 4day3nights stay, not many variety of food but it’s ok.
