Plusieurs guesthouses gérées par les memes personnes (une famille il me semble), couloirs assez exigus mais studio familial bien. Petit souci de chauffage dans l’un d’entre eux mais ok tout de même. Petit déjeuner buffet particulièrement bien.

Bon emplacement, mais literie très moyenne. Description de la chambre non respecté, absence de plaque de cuisson sur la kitchenette. WC bouché à notre arrivé et pas nettoyé pendant 2 jours, obligé d'utiliser les WC d'un autre étage.

Great basic stay...”
Great solo stay. The room was basic with no TV, but isn't a big deal if you bring your own entertainment or if you stay busy. Shared restrooms you will have to wait for sometimes. Good breakfast with different options. For those reviews that mentions the unique odor from the water; it's common in Iceland and nothing to worry about. Iceland uses geothermal water sources. Next time I come to Iceland, I would defiantly stay here again.

The rooms are pretty spacious and have a sink with a microwave and some tableware. No cooking stove though. It is around 8 minutes on foot from the BSI terminal and 5 minutes from the city center. The only downside I experienced was during check in and also lack of clarity about check out instructions. The reception of the guest house is actually in another guest house around the corner, and this reception is in turn just a kitchen, it didn't seem to be staffed continuously. I arrived at 18:00 to check in and the reception door was closed (there was no mention of a limit time for check in and I think 18:00 is relatively early). Thankfully another guest saw me knocking and opened the door so that I could do self check in. There weren't many instructions about check out, but a staff member told me that I could just leave the keys in the room. The place was overall very nice and a good value for money, just be sure to call them beforehand to give an estimated time of arrival so that they can open the door to do the self check in.

The hotel/guesthouse is basic, but for the price it is great. The rooms are clean, breakfast is simple but ample. If you are looking to spend a lot of time in your room then this maybe not for you. If you just need somewhere to crash then this place is great. I have stayed there twice now and if I go back again I will have no problem staying there again.

Tight rooms up against busy street. Communal bathroom. Great location, walking distance to everything, especially Northern Lights viewing at Sun Voyager. Get to breakfast early!

Way too cold ”
It was a quite nice room, but what completely destroyed the experience were the bathing facilities. For some reason you cannot close the window, which makes it utterly cold to take a shower or go to the bathroom. We tried to talk with the manager about the issue, but he just stated, that it was a choice made by the guesthouse due to the fact, that they wanted pure air in the bathroom. That would probably make sense in a tropical country - but in Reykjavík in March the temperature is around the freezing point. I would recommend going if you are ready to obtain a urin infection and would like a cheap room with nice shared kitchen facilities. But before they change the coolness in the bathroom, I can not recommend

Very noisy and hard to sleep”
The location is quite central but the room is facing a very busy street which leads to the famous church. Traffic is non-stop even at 4am. Impossible to get a good sleep. Windows are not double glazed do you hear all the noise. The walls are quite thin too so you hear the other guests

I could not find the guesthouse There was not even a sign I was lucky that I saw someone entered the building and I asked her about how to check in She was so friendly that she explained the process to me patiently Before that the guesthouse didn’t inform me anything about that If I have not met her, I would turn out wandering on the street helplessly Agoda is rubbish, always provides customers with wrong information Goodbye Agoda And the guesthouse broke the promise that it didn’t provide breakfast Really good at deceiving customers Blacklisted forever

Great Location & staffs & Breakfast ”
The location is superb with only less than 3 mins walk to the most famous Hallgrimskirkja and less than 10 mins walk to the main streets of Reykjavik. The staffs are very friendly and nice. The breakfast is the best!!! the room we got is not within the main building thus it might be less convenient if you planned to prepare meal of your own.

Bad experience”
The good 1. Free breakfast. Not great but the food gets you going 2. Microwave and fridge in the room! 3. Right near the church at top of rainbow road The Bad 1. Heat would not cut off. Room was unbearably hot!!! Opening the window didn't help because without an entry/exit there was no airflow. We had to keep the door cracked, which lead to a cat showing up in our room at some point. Not to mention being security issue(sleeping with your door open) 2. Felt a bait and switch. The building in the picture may not be the building the you're staying at. We were directed to a building around the corner for stay. And good luck with parking 3. The building was just too noisy. Doors were heavy and loud. Sink made gurgling noises. 4. The bathrooms! One coed bathroom where the showers and toilet were in the same room. If my girlfriend used the shower, a guy could come in and shower next to her or use the toilet There's no amount of money to get me to stay here again. Consider this a warning and not a review.
