Amazing hotel!! No staff required for check in :). Holograms are excellent! Super quiet and clean hotel with a family Mart next door. 2min walk to the Tawaramachi station - Ginza subway line. Baggage storage available also.

Lovely hotel in great location”
Lovely hotel in great location close to a few different subway lines. Checkin was great with the dinosaur this time and everything went very smoothly. Underneath the hotel is a little convenience store where you can buy food/drinks. And hotel is within walking distance of the temple and shopping streets. Definitely would come back!

I have been to many hotels in Japan and this is by far the best I've been into! Hotel staff were very accommodating and helpful. Check-in/out process was cool and seamless. Room is spacious and full of extra amenities (special mention on that LG styler and the tablet). Will definitely be my hotel of choice every time I'm in Tokyo.

Great location and very clean hotel”
This hotel is located in Tawaramachi, which is halfway between Asakusa and Ueno. Both are within walking distance and the hotel itself is located just a 2 minute walk from Tawaramachi station. There is a 24 hour convenience store located on the 1st floor of the same building as the hotel. The hologram check in was quick and pretty cool. My room layout was nice and and felt quite spacious for being only 16 square meters. For me personally, I couldn't have asked for a better experience.

good value for money option in an accessible yet quiet location”
this is a relatively new hotel in asakusa. it is sufficiently near to the main attractions (within 10 min walk away) and close to several train/metro stations that take you around and beyond tokyo, yet it is not crowded at all whether during day or night. there is a very well-known bakery (pelican) opposite, also there are several convenience stores (familymart right below, as well as lawson 100 a few buildings away) as well as many affordably-priced eateries. it is also near the kappabashi kitchenware street, and walkable on a large boulevard to Ueno (~20 mins). the hotel room itself, while a bit small, is typical of tokyo properties; however, the room facilities are modern with convenient usb sockets. "henn na" apparently means 'quirky' in japanese, and this is evident from the rather gimmicky VR check-in/out process, but in overall this is a decent mid-tier hotel that i would recommend for exploring tokyo.

4 nights stay in Deluxe Twin Room Henn na Hotel Tokyo Asakusa is very good choice for staying in Asakusa area. 10 mins walk to Asakusa station which has direct train to Narita & Haneda Airports. 5 mins walk to different subway lines stations. Quiet residential living area. 24 hrs convenience store at 1st floor. Toilet, bathing area, living room are very clean and comfortable. Electronic check-in and out machine is interesting. Worth to re-visit.

Tokyo Sky Tree view suite was so rad”
I loved this hotel. It's simple, convenient, and a screaming dinosaur checks you in. We stayed in the Sky Tree suite thing. The views were great and the room itself had tons of little details that really hooked me. We'll be staying here again for sure.

Henn na Hotel Tokyo Asakusa Tawaramachi. The interior is new, bright and clean. Surrounded by 4 24/7 convenient store (3 family marts and 1 lawson). Room was small, just good to place 2 30" suitcase. Booked in BOTH the twin room (tiny i would say but the LG styler is really wonderful to deodourise clothes after a BBQ dinner) and the Japanese Style twin room (where the 2 beds could be moved and pack together). Both are good but as said it is difficult for those who had 2+ large suitcase. Laundry is located at 10th floor and another one which i forgot. amenities are self served. It's self check-in hotel. Locationwise, it is on the ginza line ie: 2 stations from Tawaramachi to Ueno for further JR line transfer. Otherwise, around 2 minute walking from Tawaramachi station to hotel.

Check in process took so long”
We made 2 reservations, one of which already paid. But when we check in using the hotel automation process, they failed to recognise this. Had to call a staff, but the 1st staff totally did not understand my explanation due his poor english. Then came the manager, but at first he also did not gave solution until later. All in all, it took more than 1 hour just to check in. Because we stayed for more than 2 consecutive days, the room cleaning services was very minimal, due to their green policy. We must ask their staff for more thorough room cleaning. Other than above inconveniences, we pretty happy with the hotel. There was Family Mart on ground floor, so it is very convenience if we need something.
