Amazing”
Very clean and quite hostel Friendly staff and helpful Location is not too far also walking a little is healthy. The bed is classic futon so it can feel maybe har for some uneducated idiot who doesn't know shit but in the end its comfortable. Spacious capsule. Everything important on premises or nearby. Totally recommended

I stayed for quite a long time (around 12 nights) here but enjoyed my stay overall! The facilities were all wonderful, the capsule itself was bigger than I had expected and the staff were very friendly and kept the whole hostel very clean. The lobby was a wonderful space to work in, with a microwave and vending machine there as well. My only complaint would be the bed - I found it very hard and uncomfortable to sleep on for the first few nights but got used to it.

A Excellent Hostel”
stay here for 5 nights, lived in 4F, 10 beds share 2 shower rooms. A little far from Ueno station (10-15 minutes, for me it's pretty "little"), and you should lift luggage upstairs by yourself. If those issues don't bother you, then it's your best hostel choice in Ueno, especially when you want to save money, or plan to frequently visit the museums in Ueno Park. Walk in five minutes you will get to Tokyo National Museum. In a hostel which is run by Japanese , the clearance will not disappoint you. People worked here are very nice, always smiling and willing to help. Lobby in 1F is quite comfortable.

Nice and cheap accommodation in Ueno”
The location of the hostel is great, it's close to the Ueno station. We traveled in the winter season but it was very warm in the hostel, the "capsule bed" was actually a little hot at night but it was ok. I had a bed in the female dormitory, there were 2 showers and plenty of toilets and washing sinks which was more than enough. The other guests were nice and quiet. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The common room and the kitchen were really nice and clean.

Good capsule hostel”
This one is a good hostel close to Ueno Station. Some reviews said that there might be bed bugs, but I didn't see them. Also, this hostel might be hot sometimes (when you see it in person you know why). However, when I visited it the window was open whole night and temperature was ok. Other guest were nice and they didn't make noise at night. This was surprising. Staff were amazing and very helpful. So, I recommend this, if you need to stay somewhere one night.

Great hostel”
No complaints, especially as it was good value for Tokyo here. Simple check in and friendly welcome, spotlessly clean throughout. Wifi fine. Not as lively as some hostels (could do with a bar!) and reception closes at 11pm (you must use the side door for entry after 11). A main locker in the dorm plus a smaller one in the capsule are both controlled by keypads. Washers/dryers available 24/7 (coin operated). 5-10 mins walk to Ueno station on the Yamanote line. Definitely a good choice for visiting this part of Tokyo.

A good deal for a basic hostel!”
This place had everything I needed, and nothing extra. Clean capsule beds with thin mattresses, just enough showers, a bathroom that was clean enough but kind of an uncomfortable setup, a reasonably-priced coin washing machine, but expensive detergent, and a fridge and sink but no stove. No frills, but a good deal if you want to stay in Ueno! It’s a fairly quick walk from the station, in the opposite direction from all the shopping and entertainment. My only real complaint was that, staying on the mixed-gender floor, the bathroom had urinals that you had to pass to get into the normal bathrooms. You’d basically bump into anybody peeing if you tried to get through. The door to the urinals was also generally open to the area with sinks and hair dryers. The toilet rooms were almost never full, so this just seemed unnecessary and kind of gross.

The capsules are good for privacy and the staff is cleaning everyday, the location is really good too, only a 7 minute Walk to Ueno station and 7eleven is close too!

The place is near JR Ueno but the walk towards it is quite far. However when you get the hang of it ist okay. The place is clean and the common area facilties are very homey

Cheap but not very clean”
I stayed just one night in mixed dorm as female. I don’t know what it looks like in female only room, but for mixed dorm, honestly I could not get relaxed well because of smell and sound. Common space looked clean but room itself wasn’t that good. But price was cheap and staff was friendly too so this place might be good if you don’t mind smell and sound of others. Adding to that, toilets for female were not separated from male toilets so I had to pass male toilet to get there. So I went downstairs to go bethroom for most time. That’s something to be considered if you care about it.

Cheap but terrible nights”
Frontdesk service is efficient and the common area at the first floor is very cosy. The staff is very helpful and I appreciate them so much. However, when i enter the dormitory, it smelled bad. Window was closed and the air ventilation is zero. It was stuffy and smelly. Also, it was dusty everywhere (stair, locker, bedding, and floor). It is hard to breath. They didnt provide indoor slippers, which means u have to wear your shoes once u leave your bed. For the two nights stay, there are someone who snored badly (not hostel’s fault). I didnt sleep well for the two days TT TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE.

Bad Location and too many people in one room”
I stayed in female dorm for 5 nights, share with more than 20 people, 2 showers , 4 toilets, 5 sinks. Smell so bed since day 2. Storage place is not completely sealed, you can reach you arm in to it even the door is lock, another locker is in you capsule, the lock is four digits, kind of noisy. The bed had hard mattress, i don't like. Though the curtain you will be effect by the room light. So I am not recommend it. BTW, 100 yen for keeping you luggage after check out.
