room is clean, location is convenient, the sky view is not every hotel can offer. highly recommend. however, reception is on 20/f, all rooms are above it. i dont know why the lift has to stop on reception floor each time even no one press the button. a bit annoying!

Good location. The room is spacious enough for us to put 3 luggages.”
Pros - location, new hotel Cons - I notice the tv and lamp are very dusty on my last day of stay. Perhaps the staff should clean more thouroughly. My son and myself have running nose whenever we were in the room.

The hotel is opposite the Ameyayokocho market, just 3 min walk. There're so many restaurant, bar and shopping center. Nearest station is Ueno station (Ginza Line) exit 3, If you have a big luggage i would recommend to use exit 2 which have an elevator. The hotel is inside the office building, you have to enter the hotel entrance gate and take an elevator to 20th floor for reception. There's 7-Eleven at first floor. The room is a little bit small with no wardrobe. Air condition in my room is quiet dirty but everything is fine.

There is a bit challenge for me to open my luggage within the room. Since it is located on the 20th floor, the view is excellent. Since I have stayed in smoking room, the filter within the air cleaner is very dirty and now function as good as what we thought. Breakfast is OK

New rooms, BBC English channel, good wifi connection, and close proximity to train station. Only exception is that the guys at reception wasn't that courteous when I check in on a late night.

rude & poor service staff”
On 4am we asked your staff for check-out time is 11am ok or not, your staff just said yes and never told us need pay extra money or not accept on late check-out. But finally on 10:30 am, the staff use rude attitude to knock the door and said the checkout time is 10 :00am. Then make us felt so astonished. After that your staff didn't check or believe what we said and only said "NO". Its totally no acceptable on a service provider. On a hospitality industry no matter what happen, the Front line staff should not shouting to guests, but your staff did it. We late check-out paid extra is fine, But your staff service is rude & not worth.

I don't usually comment on my stays, but what I experienced with the staff at this hotel bothered me... 1. Upon receiving my breakfast ticket, I asked the staff what time does breakfast start? Staff said to me "look at your ticket, time is on it" Couldn't they just say 6:30? I mean less words right? 2. WIFI password was not on key envelope, so I called front desk. Staff said to me "There should be a flyer on the desk in your room. Again, couldn't they just say it? Less words again. There were more than 5 flyers on the desk, and I had to go through all of them. Location, cleanliness, and facility is OK, but staff's attitude needs improvement. I have stayed at many cheaper, dirtier, and older business hotels and they all had better staff.

Great value in room”
The room is big for japan hotel size. The hotel starts on 20th floor. So every room has a view. You'll be lucky if your room is facing Skytree side. Our room was facing the Ueno park, ueno shopping, restaurant district. Room is clean and it has a conplimentary bar on the lobby floor and a view of the SkyTree.

Business hotel, good enough for a short stay”
Pro:- Room is quite clean with the compact room space. The rooms here have beautiful views as they all are on the high floors. The Lobby room is on the 20th floor of the building and they provide the microwave for guests also. We have a view of Ueno Park and Ameyoko. If you are on the other side, you will have a view of Tokyo Sky Tree. There are 7-11 on the first floor. If you walk across the street, it will be Ameyoko Market. Its location is near the JR station and subway, as well as the Takeya Purple Building. Con:- Rooms are very simple as it is a business hotel type. Check out not later than 10.00 am, otherwise you may be fine. If you come back late at night, the walk way is quite dark.

A lot of dirt on the floor. Bad smell in room”
Very bad memory of my last night stay in a 13 -day japan trip. In the room, a lot of dirt on the carpet, and bad smell. I presented the photo to the front desk. They agreed it is really dirty, but just say Sorry. Since they are full house, no room for exhange even down grade. No help and other suggestion for me. I asked if they have disinfectant spray, the answer is ‘no’. Finally, i brought one from the 7-11 downstair, and stay 1 night with the germ. (Checked no room avaliable from the nearby hotel) Conclusion: Superior Single Room should not choose.(no skytree view in this room type too)

Great Location, spacious rooms ”
The hotel is very close to Ueno station and other shopping area. The room is spacious compared to other hotels in Tokyo. I will definitely recommend this hotel to my family and friends.

For the View”
Location is great. The reason I picked this hotel because the price and is close to the Keisei Skyliner station. View is AWESOME. I saw Tokyo SkyTree from my room. I was supposed to check-in at 3pm but got there around 1 pm. Room was ready and I was able to get the key to my room. Check Out is AT 10 AM. I was thinking it was 11am, got a call from front desk for the reminder. Staff is friendly. The Downside is. I found a piece of pubic hair on the tray where they put the tooth brush, comb, q-tips. It made me wonder if they used the same towel to wipe the toilet and the rest of the bathroom. Would I recommend to stay here again? For the location. YES. But there are so many more hotels in Tokyo.

A room with a view”
Good location (close to multiple train stations); all rooms have great view due to the high floors. Rooms are larger than average for Tokyo. At the price this is really a good deal. Would like to stay here again.

The location of the hotel is good. Since the hotel is situated at the last few top floor of the hitaChi bldg, the outside view is fantastic. For the amenities, may consider to provide shower caps, free bottles of water

Strictly a business hotel. Do not stay here if you are on vacation. ”
The staff there all have a cocky and arrogant attitude. I travelled with another friend and during our check in process, the gentleman at the counter said this, and I quote, "if you want a suite, go to a different hotel. This is a business hotel". For our 3-night stay there, I felt judged and disrespected. That may be because I was never in a business attire. Important note: on our last day, we received a phone call at 10.20am informing us that we have been penalized with $1000Yen late check out fee (apparently imposed after 10am), and the fee would get heavier if we did not check out immediately. We were never informed about this policy from the point of check in until 10am on our check out day. This "penalty" was slapped onto us without prior warnings, minimal display of information with no flexibility or room for discussion. They were professional but rude, unreasonable and provided terrible customer service. Backpackers and travellers be warned. This hotel is not for you.

More English speaking staff will be better for international traveller !! Only one person at the counter could understand english. However everyone is helpful in their own capacity.
