Friendly staff, decent accommodations”
Main reception staff were two friendly older gentlemen. While their English is very limited, we managed to communicate in basic Japanese. Location was close to subway in the quieter side of Ikebukuro. Room was decent in size for twin beds with the usual cube like bathroom. Recommended if you do not wish to be in the middle of busy streets on the east exit.

Cheapest in the hood”
Traveled during the sakura season and this was like the cheapest and most legit looking hotel compared to a lot of other hotels in the area. Hotel staff were also very friendly and helpful. It was also very near to the subway; about a 5 minutes walk away, so transport was very accessible. And being location around ikebu, food and arcades are all very accessible if you are bored or hungry at night.

There is a limousine bus service from two airports Narita/Haneda to nearby hotel . Walking distance to Tetora hotel. Staff friendly , there is a lift service in this hotel. For non smoker had to bear with it. Morning breakfast had to walk a short distance to the cafe and this cafe is at third floor of the building. Walking distance to JR station.

Bed was extremely uncomfortable”
The only reason for the rating was because the bed was extremely uncomfortable. I could hear and feel the springs in the bed while attempting to sleep. It was also a little difficult to communicate with the front desk. While I understand that it is a business hotel and not necessarily meant for tourists, the communication was not good for someone who spoke English and not Japanese. On the positive side, the room was impressively clean and well stocked with amenities. It's too bad the bed was terrible causing me to check out after the 1st night.

Great location, very close to the subway & you can also grab the airport limo bus just right across the hotel. There's a mall where the subway is and plenty of shops and eateries around. Super convenient!

A practical hotel, just 10 minutes walk from Ikebukuro station”
This hotel is very close to Ikebukuro station. The staff is very nice. They will keep your luggage for example if you have to leave 1 -2 days and come back to the hotel. If they can, they will allow an early check-in. Of course as often in Tokyo, the hotel room is really small, especially when you have 2 big luggage. But when you are visiting, you do not spend lot of time in your room.

It was a great stay at Tetora Ikebukuro. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The location was just few mins walking from Ikebukuro Station. The room was quite big for three persons. There was enough space for us and our big luggages. We had our room cleaned everyday. Highly recommended.

Best deal hotel and very very near station”
this is by far the best bang for the buck hotel in ikebukuro. if you plan to use yamanote line most of the time, this is the hotel for you if you are a solo traveller. room is very clean and also has mobile phone you can take for free during your stay! fresh towels and robe given daily! Sukiya is just beside it for quick hunger buster. Place is also very quiet! Bus ride to airports is also just across which stops at metropolitan hotel. Lawson, 7-11 and Family are very near as well. So if you are looking for cheap but clean hotel, this is for you!

My 2nd stay ”
This is a second time staying in this hotel, last October and again December. We got lucky for an early check in begore mid day. And the same the hotel is very nice even the room is quite small. But the location is perfect. Thank you again for all the kindness staff.

Generally check in time is after four in the afternoon but if we have the room then we will make check in time earlier than four .Most of the time customers from foreignr country(not japan) either earlier or sometimes late at the mid night because the schedule of their flight .So if the room available we will provide that earlier than 4pm.Although we are small , we have 24 hours front service so there is not any problem to check in at the late night. We are small and bussiness type hotel so we accept that we have small rooms but the prize is suitable on this Tokyo Ikebukuro Area.
