Me and three other architecture graduates stayed there and loved it. Probably not important to most people but the design is really nice and minimal + the space feels very futuristic (a bit like an episode of black mirrors). It's a 5min walk from Akasaka mitsuke station which is one of the big ones, really well connected. The staff are lovely and the place is so clean all the time i don't know how they do it. You have to check out before 10am every day and check in again anytime after 1pm. Every day they give you a bag with clean pijamas, new slippers, new toothbrush, toothpaste and towels. You cannot bring your luggage with you if it doesnt fit in a locker, so if you are with a big case you will have to leave it at reception and only take what you need in the locker. You're also not allowed to keep anything in the capsule as it doesnt lock and you also cant bring food or drinks. Highly recommend but only for shorter stays, it gets inconvinient if you stay for longer than 3 days.

Not sure what happened, maybe it was Monday night, so I paid roughly only USD 20 for the stay. Very clean and very basic. Location wise, it is very convenient for transportation and everything. For those who sensitive to noise, bring your ear plug! Otherwise, a very affordable stay in this big city - Tokyo! J from Taipei, Taiwan

We stayed at nine hours Akasaka on the first night of our arrival. Exploring the area was amazing, plus facilities are super clean and modern, they give you pijamas and slippers, and people are respectful of your sleeping time. I would definitely go again!

Pros Superb location, close to everything. Subway/bus stations, restaurants, convenience store, mall. Cons None. even though you have to check in and check out everyday fror multiple days, its not much of a hassle coz you can left your things on the pre-assigned lockers. cleanliness is on point and staffs are friendly and accomodating.

Too crowded and limited space”
Nice stay! Great location, clean and neat. However it was too crowded, get up as early as you can in the morning if not you don’t have space to clean your self or shower as late as you can. Space is limited and locker is a 1 small backpack size.

Loved my stay here! Everything was very clean, the hotel was conveniently located, and it was a cool experience. The capsule was also much more comfortable than I expected it to be. Try it out at least once if you're curious about what it's like.

The nine hours chain is cheap, clean and convenient as a solo traveler in Tokyo. Great bang for your buck and a worthwhile experience of staying in a capsule hotel!

Such a great experience. The capsules are separated by gender. Were provided with PJs, toothbrush, towels. No space for large bags but lockers provided could hold a small roller bag. Make sure that you don't mix up the Akasaka location with the Asakusa location - we did. (And apparently it happens ALOT). Still great location with lots of restaurants and nightlife nearby.

Mattresses and pillows a little hard but apart from that can’t fault it. Cheap, good location. New towels, pajamas and toothpaste every day. Super clean and efficient. Would stat again.

Really a nice place, super near to Akasaka Blitz, near the train station also. Very nice coffee shop inside. The only thing is sometimes the locker room is getting too crowded. Overall super nice!

It's not very far from both station (Akasaka & Akasaka-Mitsuke) however personally I feel the station itself is not a good place because I got to change few times to get to the places I wanna go~ But the capsule hotel is very good! Very clean, spacious and the staff is very friendly too! but the space to unpack/pack your luggage is quite narrow/confine so I recommend you to pack/unpack during less crowded time (def not night time).

Very clean capsules and comfortable beds. Staff is very helpful and nice. Clean showers and bathrooms, I've never had to wait in line. Great for active traveler, who leaves hotel early in the morning and comes back to fall asleep. You will not be able to sleep late since at about 9:30 there is loud announcement telling you to check out.

Great for a short stay in Tokyo”
I was only transiting through on a 24 hour layover, and for this 9 Hours was awesome. Check in was smooth, no unexpected issues, and staff were friendly. Facilities are impeccably clean, nice minimalist design to the building, as well. Beds were comfy and the capsules are not claustrophobic at all.The locker system is well organised, my only gripe is that there isn't really anywhere for you to open up your suitcase to access your clothes. I had to bring my suitcase up to the bed area and open it up on the floor which blocked the walking area. This, and the fact that you have to check out each morning at 10am (which didn't inconvenience my 1 night stay), is why 9 Hours is best for a short stay. All that being said, they were wonderful with letting me come back to shower and storing my luggage as I had a late flight and had already checked out. Overall recommend for a less expensive stay in Tokyo now that Airbnb prices have gone up.

Agoda allows you to choose between twin bed or a double bed. Twin beds are not provided at nine hours akasaka.
