I booked this hotel due to its relative proximity to the airport but it turned out to be in what appears quite a dodgy area. The staff were not ready for my arrival and proceeded to discuss me for about half an hour whilst furiously smoking cigarettes and ignoring me. The room was alright, although in their rush to ready it they had forgotten some simple essentials. I think this place would be alright for local travelers, but I would not recommend it for tourists. To be fair to the guys, I don't think they expected me to rock up in what I found out was a Hezbollah stronghold after midnight either...

Dear guest, as when you arrived to the property, the staff told you the room you booked was ready that day, but a maintenance issue in the water pipes occured just an hour before your arrival, and we had to give you an upgrade to a larger suite, and the staff you talked to was not on duty that day and came in a rush because the other person who was on duty was trying to fix up the maintenance issue until a professional arrived. Also this area is no one strong hold and we goverment internal security forces (police) just around the corner. Also the political party that you mentioned does not have the most popular support to even be their stronghold. Also you contacted agoda claiming you never checked in, which is a fraud you tried to play on us. Sorry if you had any problems in your check in, which was due to unseen circumstances, but you could have tried contacting our management or asking for compensation from us. Instead you stayed the night and tried to scam us.

Dear guest, in your suggested pricing we cannot cover costs, electricity by itself costs 20$ per night, because as you probably know electricity in lebanon is mostly from private generator that cost a lot to run. As for the ac we are sorry to hear it wasn't working when you were in the room, but in the dates you stayed we were mostly fully booked and the guest that stayed before you didn't mention anything about it not working, and as ac is usually mostly used in the summer and not the winter, we only do a full check up on them before the summer season, and other maintenance when guests say it is not working, so we couldn't have fixed that. As for the tv, we have a rough 3 years and were selling on break even to cover costs for those 3 years, and it is not feasable to change already working tv for new ones just to make them smart, on budget accommodation, our largest suite has a smart tv, since it was newly renovated and the pricing is feasable. My room was never cleaned knowing that I has the right of this facility. The sockets in the room were NOT functioning. I wasn't able to use the two air conditions with the washing machine at the same time due to electricity issues.

Dear guest, The staff were calling you on a daily basis and asking you if you needed anything, or if there were any problems, and you always replied that everything was fine and you didn't need anything. The sockets you only told the staff about one of them not working, and the staff asked you if the others are working and you said yes, and you could use the others without the need to use this particular socket, if you had any problem in that case you could have asked for room change to solve that problem. And as for the load on the electricity for the 2 ac and washing machine, this is due to the constant power cuts and having to rely on private power generators, and using lower power circuit breaker so that the generator doesn't get overloaded, and thus would lead to no power at all. Again all this could have been solved if you told the staff you had problems when they asked. Have a nice day
