Not a fan”
Not enough security. Anyone from the clubs in the building can walk in to the lounge or showers as there is no code or locked door. AC in the lounge was not working during the hot summer month. The shower drain was grossly clogged with hair. If you have no option, you may be able to tolerate for 1-night.

Overall the hostel was not bad but not great. Its not for long term stay. The female dorm was very small and cramped. The bed area was not super clean and I sneezed a lot from the dust. The place where you store your luggage is small and so if there are a lot of bags its hard to get to your own. Again I think this place is fine if you are looking for somewhere to sleep for the night.

OK for one night”
This is a tiny hostel located right next to Sugamo station, in a commercial area so it's still bright and loud after 10pm. There's a 24-hour huge supermarket right around the corner. The hostel is on 3/F of an old building. There's a (sexy) maid cafe on 5/F. I booked the mixed dorm but apparently the hostel is divided into two 15-person dorms by sex only. I arrived after 10 and the key card was simply left on the counter which I don't feel quite safe as well (the main door was not locked). I was mistaken as male so I could only slipped in the female dorm when others were entering. Luckily there was still an empty bed. Slippers are provided. The shower was ok. I only discovered the common area in another flat next door in the morning. it was... simpler than the photo, but has the essential facilities. All in all I think it's ok if you just want a bed for the night and leave early the next morning. There was little luggage space. Do not recommend you stay for long.

No towel, no toothbrush and tooth paste. Room is small and stuffy because all suicase are stored in the sleeping room as well. Location is good, just 2 minutes from JR Sugamo station, north gate. The hostel is on 3rd floor. If u are on a budget and need place to sleep, this is ok. Sugamo is also nice place to explore.. many shops, restaurant, temple around until night.

Had a good experience as per neighbourhood being really cool, good shops and cheap good restaurant downstairs. The facilities are fine, clean and well organized. Had really a great time, but only thing to improve is maybe coffee/tea available, bigger kitchen, that's it!

best place I stayed in my Japan trip in terms of comfort! it was very clean and warm, shared rooms were like a faux capsule hotel, being surrounded on all sides was nice and made the individual sections quieter than usual. fantastic location, you can easily get a short train to the action on the east of tokyo(like shibuya etc.) or the West side (ueno, akihabara) as it's right in the middle and super close to sugamo JR station. it wasn't very social when I stayed, but 10/10 would definitely stay again!!!

quiet hostel around yamanote line”
i was a bit skeptical when i booked this hostel. it was a dorm style mix with capsule style. and usually i won;t go to capsule room as they are not big enough with my body. but this hostel has enough room for me. comfy bed, clean bathroom, fast wifi, and friendly staff. will book again in the future!

Good location(30 seconds from Sugamo station and many restaurants with good price around here) The capsule is big enough, just the space for luggage is too small. There is only one male shower room.

Judging by their business ethics, I probably would not recommend this place. I made the booking 1 day before and I could not check in due to schedule changes. So, I did not stay here. However, it looks like they marked me as checked in. I did not stay here yet, agoda asked me to review it.

My Solo Trip was Fun!”
I really love this place! It is very close to JR Station and subway station, just right behind the station. You can easily reach it through JR Yamanote line. The hostel was not significantly visible, but google map would show you easily. The outside appearance of the hostel was not so convincing, but once you came inside the hostel, it was simple but nice! The room is not big, but I like that they provide new clean sheet. Unfortunately, the space for luggage was limited and low (my head hit the top several times) and there was no lamp at that area. I also like the toilet and bathroom. It was clean. However, I would suggest that the hostel provide extra tissue so that we can still have tissue in the toilet if all was run out since I guess no staff checked the toilet in the evening.. The living room next door was awesome! There were many various tables and chairs. Unfortunately the room was cold and no water to drink in that room. Well, see you in the next future! :)
