Great affordable hotel”
Hotel is clean and staff is very friendly. After 2 days, the counter staff is able to recognise me and my room number. I am impressed. The bath facility is clean and useful after a day of work.

Très bien”
Staff does not speak much english and the location is not very convenient to a first time visitor to Japan. Otherwise, the hotel was very clean and comfortable.

Small Hotel with large rooms”
Rooms were large compared to other hotels in Tokyo. Small lift, small toilet, no breakfast but at this price it was wirth giving a try and so we did. Not disappointed as we just had to stay overnight and catch flight next morning.

GOOD!”
Loved my stay in this hotel! Convenient as it is only about 5 mins walk from the subway ningyocho. Exit A5 is the recommended exit in the hotel instructions but there is no lift and i pulled my luggage up a few flight of stairs. So remember to exit by A6 with the lift, just that you will end up opposite the road. There are some restaurants and convenience shops in the area. Early check in is allowed. The room is clean and comfortable and loved the massaging shower. Staff are very friendly and are able to speak english. Would definitely stay here again!

It's a typical Japanese inn style small hotel.”
If you want a quiet place with not many people this is a good place. The best part is the Airport Limousine stop at the Tokyo City Air Terminal(TCAT)is about 7 minutes walk from hotel.

Not a very pleasant hotel”
The hotel location wasn't too bad however the hotel itself doesn't offer great value for the amount I paid. The hotel itself was a little bit small and old. The actual rooms themselves are split between two buildings, luckily I can speak Japanese but I can see it being a problem trying to find your room as you can actually accidentally wander into some private buildings.

convinient,nice hotel with good service”
Sumisho Hotel is conviniently located near Tokyo metro atation and near many restaurants as well as convinient stores. Public bath was nice, but the water temprature was not as hot as I expected. Good value for money, so I will stay here again.

Great Location, Tokyo Hotel”
the sumisho hotel is a hotel i would recommend to anyone. some western travelers may not understand that tokyo hotel rooms are a bit smaller than those in other cities, and so they may need to adjust to this criteria. if you need to be near ningyocho, or the nihonbashi neighborhoods, and want a quiet hotel with great large bath, the sumisho is a good choice.

Okay, to far from station”
the hotel is to far from the Tokyo JR we had to take a taxi over. The only good thing is that there's 7/11 near the hotel.

Great location near Mitsukoshi shopping”
We weren't in the room all that much because the hotel is close to Ginza and great shopping. The hot bath at the end of a walk-filled day was delightful.

Small hotel with equally small rooms!”
The rooms are really small and not suitable for Twin/ Double use. The wash basin leaked from beneath.

Friendly, helpful staff, tiny room”
Ningyouchou is a wonderful neighborhood, so when I had to find a room for a few days during a business trip, I limited my search to this area. Some travel sites rated the three hotels in this block about the same, and this was a bit cheaper, so I gave it a try. It's only a couple blocks from the Ningyouchou station on the Hibiya line, and a few blocks from the Kayabachou station on the Touzai line. This puts you in easy striking range of Tsukiji fish market, the horse races, the Ginza, Akihabara, etc.. The staff were simply delightful, and filled in with English where my Japanese left off. The room was absurdly tiny. Just enough room for the bed and an 18" strip around it. I had to work a bit, and had to sit in bed with my PC on my lap, because there wasn't really room for the stool and me between the desk and bed. The complimentary wired internet worked reliably and easily. The room is equipped with one of those little modular bathrooms. The tub was deep, and three feet long, so not so good for couples, unless they, too, are very small. The metal blinds were a bit bent up, preventing good light block. Could be rough with a hangover. Occasional wafts of cigarette smoke penetrate the room. They do have an ofuro (Japanese bath) but I didn't have time to check it out.

Clean and very Japanese.”
This is a pleasant enough hotel but not really memorable. There was a large school group there and that didn't help. Staff tried to be helpful but had very little English. The hotel is not really near anything important so travelling is always involved. It was relatively cheap by Tokyo standards. The price does not include breakfast. There are sure to be better places to stay.

Great location, superb value for money”
this is my return trip to tokyo after travelling around japan and i chose to stay at sumisho hotel again simply because it offers the best value for money and the most convenient location to travel to the haneda airport. i would have a very early flight to catch the next morning, so needed to stay somewhere close to airport limousine bus terminals. and sumisho is only 15min walk from the t-cat, where buses depart for haneda airport as early as 4:45am (arriving at 5:10am) ! and since i wanted to visit a few other places in tokyo before leaving, i would like to stay somewhere convenient. sumisho is located only within 5min walk from the ningyucho subway station (or mitsukoshi or nihonbashi stations), from where you can easily go to ginza and roppongi.
