Really clean, quiet, inexpensive, great location, decent bed, and even a fun theme. Nice showers, coin laundry available. I stayed 2 nights and will definitely stay again on my next visit to Tokyo. Front desk staff have good English as well. Best hostel I've stayed in!

Unique concept, great location, helpful staff”
I think it's great that they try to do something a bit unique here: from the train carriage style bunk beds, to the sliding compartment doors to get in/out of bathrroms, and the lounge modelled after a train dining car. The facilities are new and high quality. The shower is fantastic and soap and shampoo were great as well. Located within a few minutes walk from several stations, so it is very convenient to arrive from either Haneda or Narita. What would be even better is if they make all guests remove their shoes on the first floor, like other Japanese hostels I've stayed at. Then guests would not need to put on shoes every time they need to visit the bathroom or lounge.

Value of money, good for budget travelers ”
It's a best accommodation for budget travelers. It's cheap and convenient because the entrance to subway is just next to the hostel. There is seven-eleven convenient store next to hostel too. Shower room was clean and big enough to use. There are loundry services 200yen for washing and 200 yen for dryer. You have to bring towels yourself if you don't want them to charge for towels. The bed was cozy and comfortable. If you don't care for noise during night, it's a best place to stay in Tokyo. The internet access (wifi) is available for free.

Nice theme hotel but annoying other guests”
The hostel itself was nice and I really liked the train theme but unfortunately I stayed in the mixed dorm and the other guests were talking on their phones or snoring so loudly I could even hear it with earplugs. I can't believe how inconsiderate about other people some guests are.

The bathroom look clean more than bedroom...But OK for sleep. Location is very good the next door is Subway entrance, have one save price Super Market and have many restaurant near the hostel. Train Station(Higashi-Nihonbashi) for Airport have a problem when you have 28" Bag there no escalator for change side, maybe you must hold your heavy bag by self if you going to airport.

1. location next to exit 4 west Jr 2. room clean quiet comfy 3. minimart next door 4. nice helpful staff 5. near bus stop where u can use JR pass 6. nice shower room and plenty of it too suggestion 1. room sandal please 2. pre announce discounted breakfast please 😑 I read it in the next morning on kitchen meanwhile it needed to be booked before midnight after check in.

Train Hostel great for American Woman traveling on her own”
I had a great experience at the Train Hostel in Tokyo. It was easy to get to off the JR and it was very central to seeing the sights or jump on the JR to run around. The Female only floor felt very safe and was wonderfully clean. The mattress could have been a little more comfortable but overall I was very happy.

The hostel itself is fine, good place, good manner staff. But i have inform via agoda upon rsvp that i would arrive late therefore required midnight check-in. The hostel emailed me before 12am that they're closing reception and if i was still going. By the time when i read the email and arrived, it was too late and door was closed. In the end i spend a night out there and only check in the next morning. Not sure the responsibility of missing out my late check in request is on Agoda or Hokutosei, but anyhow this was a very unpleasant experience.

A good hostel to spend some nights in Tokyo. Bathrooms are clean, they have a peculiar common room and kitchen where they recreated the interiors of an old train ( the kitchen was actually our favourite place!). The staff was kind and accommodating, they helped with a wrong booking on agoda (a problem caused by agoda app) and let us change the booking at no extra cost. Only (small) con: beds are not too comfortable, very thin futon

Really spacious for a capsule hotel, especially the well-equipped toilets and communal dining space. I like that you can bring your luggage right to your bunk and store it beneath the double bed - valuables can be stored in a small safe at the entrance.

When I first arrived at my space I was honestly quite disappointed. It's very bare-bones, even according to hostel standards. You have to make your own bed, as well as put on the sheets for the blanket, pillow and bed. However, it does have a personal light and two power sockets. The curtain offers privacy, but do bring ear plugs as there are many people in one room and you WILL hear noise from your neighbors. Some people have complained about the storage area which does not fit a backpack, well, it's only meant to store your valuables. and not your whole bag. Also,i f you are taller than 180 cm I think you will have a problem sleeping here. The big plus for me is that the toilets and shower rooms are extremely clean, and they do have hairdryers in the shower room. The shampoo, soap and conditioner were good quality. All in all the hostel provides all that I needed for my short stay.
