Faded Glory”
Once the height of fashion, with its hand decorated designer bedrooms, this elegant hotel retains its dignity (unlike many hotels in Beirut). Stunning sea views from the breakfast dining room, a small pool on the roof and two top quality restaurants help keep this hotel desirable. The staff are courteous and helpful despite difficult current conditions and the Concierge is attentive to detail. Lack of investment means the hotel has not refreshed the peeling paint but it is still a lovely hotel trying to maintain standards.

Rooms are smelly, the aircondition is full of molds. The showers are dirty. The rooftop pool is polluted by the 6 chimneys of the hotel emptying black smoke over the pool!

The worst staff ”
Before travelling, the manager promised to have a check in at 11 am. And when I arrived he said no we didn't promise anyone. I called 2 days before in order to make a cancellation if I can't check early and he said no where waiting for you. Lair staff

The rooftop terrace is nice but the cleaning afterwards takes till after 03:00 in the night and causes a lot of really loud noises...

The cleanliness could be improved, I believe the dust is partly due to construction next to it. The swimming pool is "under construction" although it still able to use. But it won't be pleasant. The breakfast choice should be more with the money has been paid. Anyhow, good location and next to Saint George Bay.

Nice location in the center of the city ”
Very good location. Be aware that the Internet was written that it is free. But they told us that is was an offer only and not valid anymore. But when I showed them my voucher they gave it to me as complementary. The stuff were really nice and friendly.

Lovely Hotel and Nice Staff but Expensive”
The hotel is near seaside but the building is old. The room is small for 2 persons. The rooms are cleaned, but breakfast is weak, there is no too much options. The staff is friendly and helpfull. The room price is expensive for this quality.

Good, but not perfect”
Initially very dissappointed as we tried to go to the pool only to find it was closed for renovation. The pool was one of the main reasons we booked this hotel and the fact that it was closed was not communicated to us at all before we arrived! Bear in mind that the weather was perfect, mid 20's, blue skies and we had imagined laying on the roof relaxing, but that was not to be. The hotel eventually agreed to pay for our access to another pool in the Radisson nearby (albeit indoor), but we had to argue a little too hard for it, they should be more prepared and put a notice on their website that the pool and roof bar are not open. Anyway, with that aside the rest of our stay was pleasant - despite being close to a fairly busy road, our room was quiet and had marina views. The marina is brand new and only a 2 minute walk from the hotel, with over 20 bars and restaurants makes it very easy to go out for a nice meal or drinks. We also explored downtown and hamra on foot from the hotel, each about 15 minutes walk away. Breakfast was OK, but exactly the same each day which was dissappointing and only a very small selection of hot items. The only other issue we had was having to pay for valet parking. It seemed very odd that a hotel would charge it's guests to park there! The concierge was the friendliest person in the hotel and very very useful and easy to talk to - one of the best we've come across! Overall the location and comfort of the rooms just about made up for the problems we had.

Overpriced, bad view, and terrible value for money”
we stayed 3 nights in a deluxe sea view room. rooms (and the whole hotel actually) are notably old. the "sea view" is blocked by a huge building where you only get to see about 25% of the sea; quite disappointing actually! in order to get the full sea view you mush reserve a per night suit which is a silly argument because for you get a room with a view in the intercontinental phoenicia (beirut's best hotel). there is no kettle in room. management is not trying to do anything extra to guests. the location is close to the marina which is nice. this is probably the only advantage of the hotel.

Overall we were satisfied with our stay. If you get luck with the price then don't hesitate to book it. The location is great, it's only 10 minutes walking from downtown and it has a great bar right across the street :)

August Beirut Trip 2009”
I would highly recommend Palm Beach for it's great location in central beirut... It is close to the downtown and to all the high end clubs in Beirut. The staff is all very pleasant and friendly and very glad to help at any time! The breakfast area at the India restaurant was also very satisfactory and at a decent hour. I must admit I was a bit disappointed with the business center. Other facilities however covered for it; like the pool, the lounge upstairs and others. The rooms, lobby and so on were kept clean at all times and all in all it was a very pleasant stay! The staff were very professional and impressive and willing to accomodate all my different needs at all times!

Just what's needed”
For the first time in my life time, i see Beirut from a different point of view. From the roof top of Palm Beach Hotel, you'd imagine yourself in the French Riviera. During the day, you can relax and enjoy the sun with a nice breeze. In the evening, you can watch the most romantic sunset and have fun till late hours. Though located in one of the busiest area, my room was quiet and facing a nice green spot. The interior is simple and the rooms are medium sized and clean. the drawings on the ceiling are cute. Compared to the surrounding hotels, this place has everything you need for the best value for money. I strongly recommend it
