A home on the rocks, with the best sunsets over a tranquil bay”
This resort offers the best location on the island, according to what we were looking for: a quiet stay in a beautiful setting, within close distance to a larger beach with restaurants and a few necessities. Our room was at the very end of the resort, it was super spacious and had a very comfy bed. The terrace was priceless. The restaurant serves a good dinner but breakfast was so so. I missed a few things and believe the new owners can make some changes to take this resort to the next level. First of all the room could do with a few extra pieces of furniture, like a chair or stool by the mirror and a dressboy or anything to hang your clothes to dry. The layout of the restaurant feels a bit outdated, and so does the surroundings of the bungalows. More communal areas, a good coffee bar (get rid of the nescafe!) and organic breakfast, and some flowers and plants here and there would really be a bonus! One more thing: a scooter is a necessity on the island. Walking to the next beach is either through the water or over a steep hill!

A lovely place but be aware of the numerous steep stairs to climb up and down to get around. Stunning sea view rooms, very good meals and very decent snorkeling experience.

VERY RELAXING!”
Great place, very beautiful, very, very relaxing. Only complaint is that the menu at the resort restaurant could be larger and more diverse. After 6 days, we were tired of the same meal choices each day. Having said that, the food was quite good and the quality was good.

Supernice stay”
Great family room close to our favourite beqach Chalok, the small freedom beach is also very pretty but during the day it gets a bit invaded by outside visitors which i think was not so good. The restaurant is quite pricey for being thailand i think and not better then others. The view and the location is the nicest!

Perfect beach vacation ”
Our room was brand new, the bed was soft, the pillows were fluffy, the linens smelled great! The view was just incredible. I think this is the best hotel on the island for a romantic secluded beach bungalow stay (we stayed at 2 other bungalow hotel on koh tao) All the bungalows and the hotel are built into a mountain so Be aware that there are lots of stairs everywhere and they are steep but so worth it when you get to your cozy comfortable room The road to the hotel is quite steep so it is a bit of a mission to get anywhere in the island. The hotel provides free transfer to and from the pier. Unfortunately they do not provide free transfer within the island and instead a taxi is really $$ — 400 bhat one way The hotel is very well staffed! All the staff are very friendly, attentive, helpful and have great English The breakfast is generous and the restaurants are yum! Don’t skip the tuna and chicken sandwich, the chicken salad, And the chicken cashew and the yellow curry. Basically all the food was good 😅 I wish the hotel would offer a half board option with dinner included bc it’s a hassle to get to and from the hotel and the view and the peacefulness at the restaurant is so great we often chose to eat there each night. Prices were reasonable for Thailand They will do laundry (60 bhat/kilo) You can always charge everything to the room which was super convenient You will have direct access to 2 of the best beaches on the island and the view point Basically, we loved it and can’t wait to go back. Newly renovated villas. Near freedom beach with good snorkelling spots and near the John Suwan View point. Room rate can be lower (ie less expensive). Generally, staff are friendly & helpful especially the restaurant staff.

We really enjoyed our stay. For what it worth, the bungalows are tidy and clean but the surroundings of restaurant, reception and whole outside area was a mess. I understand that the hotel is going through a renovation but trash, cans, plastic bags and other garbage being left on clear site of hotel guests is unacceptable.

Everything here is so perfect to relax and enjoy 2 beach front and surrounding by nature .the breakfast is really good and all meal are delicious at 2 beach front restaurant. Comfortable and easy access to Nang yuan island and many more. Friendly and helpful staff. A must to stay and comeback place on our list. Wonderful staff, beautiful private location, bungalows literally on the sand, delicious food. Really beautiful. Friendly staff. Food was delicious and the prices were fair. Thank you to the wonderful staff for a memorable stay! My only suggestion would be to provide a daily “shuttle” into Sariee beach as the short taxi ride is 300 - 400BHT per way. Cheaper to rent a motorbike but with pre teens this was not possible. Free ferry transfer is included.

Lovely bungalows with access to two beautiful beaches”
We stayed in a Deluxe Seafront Bungalow in August 2022 and it was truly beautiful. The teak bungalow was spacious, clean, and gorgeous, the view from the balcony was unbelievable and you could hear the waves under the bungalow in the evening during high tide which we loved. I found the mattress to be very hard and difficult to sleep on but my husband seemed to do ok. You have access to two absolutely stunning beaches with great snorkeling at Freedom Beach. There is also a viewpoint between the two beaches that you can hike to that has unbelievable views of the area. The property is quite vertical from the reception area down to the restaurant and beach (lots of stairs), and there are concrete walkways connecting the one beach (Taa Toh Lagoon) to the seaside bungalows and around the corner to Freedom Beach. The entire property is just really beautiful, and clean, and the staff are all super friendly, helpful and responsive. The property didn't seem to be fully operational when we were there (likely due to Thailand still reopening due to Covid), with some of the advertised amenities unavailable, and we found the restaurant to be adequate at best which was a little disappointing as you are relatively isolated in this location. For the price point we had expected better food options compared to other resorts we had stayed in. All that being said, it was probably one of the most beautiful resorts we stayed at during our 6 week trip around Thailand, we enjoyed our time at this resort and would be interested in staying again in more normal times.

Amazing Place!”
We had the best time. We booked the Deluxe Seaview Bungalow and absolutely loved it. A total treat for our honeymoon stay. We were treated to a stunning show from the sun each evening whilst relaxing on a lounger on the outside space. The beach is quiet, reserved and staff very calm and friendly. The only flaw was that the internet in our room was non-existent. We had to bring our phones to breakfast to connect. Perhaps this is a good thing if you want to relax, but we found it tricky. Pick this place, again, we loved it!

Amazing ”
This is the best resort on Ko Tao. The staff were so helpful, going above and beyond, from the first to the last minute. The location is incredible - with three brilliant beaches within easy walking/swimming distance, and the snorkelling is as good as you’ll find anywhere the world. Big shout out to the hotel dogs, Kai and Kau, who gave the resort a lovely homely feel. Thank you!
