"I'm not a person to be effusive but this is the best hotel I've ever stayed in. Everything was perfect and I cannot think of anything that spoiled it. It made for a beautiful Christmas for us. Every member of staff was so professional and friendly; every piece of decor oozed class; the food was incredible. We loved the toy owl and accompanying picture book as a present for our little girl - we loved the Santa stocking hanging on our door, too. I couldn't thank the staff enough and we will definitely return."

"We love staying at the Mode Edinburgh. Fantastic location in New Town - Quiet yet very near all the sights, restaurants and shopping. The hotel facilities are tip-top and the room is immaculate. Lots of nice touches in the room that make it feel like home. The staff were very helpful and friendly. After 3 days in the Highlands, when we came back to Mode Edinburgh again, it was like coming home. Of all the hotels we stayed in during our holiday in UK, Mode Edinburgh is the best!"

"Very nice boutique hotel great price! Front office tall & lean young man was doing a great job & extra mile service to share with us how to walk around Edinburgh town with a small little useful map, which I used throughout my walking in the town. Because of his great advise to the Carlton Hill, we witness superb sunset of Edinburgh unexpectedly, just at the right time! Wonderful experience! And the complimentary baskets is fantastic! Very touch by the small little things :) Room & bathroom look very new, i believe was newly renovated. Great Great Great! "

"Prinsep St Suites is stragically located with just 5 mins walk to New town and Calton Hill. Old town was also situated not too far away with reachable walking distance. We got free upgrade to a big apartments with amazing facilities eg microwave, fridge and basic necessities available. Definitely will recommend this super comfy suites!"

"Good points: • location - couldn’t be any better. 2 mins walk from train station. As central as could be and only short walk to George Street, Royal Mile and Grassmarket. • staff - couldn’t fault them. Very helpful, polite and attentive. • room - I booked a double but ended up with a junior suite. Not sure if that’s normal, however it was spot on. Huge room on 5th floor with plenty space. Bad points • dated hotel - could do with a money spent on it. Very old and tired. • Noise - incredibly noisy where we were. Not so much during the night, but first thing in the morning. Sounded like 100’s of empty beer bottles being collected and poured into bins constantly. Very annoying and very loud! • Breakfast - not good. Although we booked our room with breakfast, we ended up having ours at The Huxley on 2nd day (end of Princes St), 100x better. Would I stay here again, probably, just for it’s location. However I’d save myself the money and get a room without breakfast. "

"the hotel locates in the middle of edinburgh. it's very convenience for travellers around the city. the train station is less than 5 mins walk from the hotel. the hotel seperate the old and new town of edinburgh. you can view the castle from your hotel room. the service is alright, nothing special."

"the room is perfect just for me as if its a couple the room would be a little small for 2. the location is just amazing, 15 minutes slow walk all the way to Edinburgh Castle. The location alone is worth the money, many restaurant nearby and lots of shopping as well while there is a tesco with just less than 2 minutes walk away to get water etc. Would recommend it!"
