Showa Era Hotel”
I was walking the Tokaido from Tokyo to Kyoto when I stayed here. I took the train to Fuji after my day's walk. Fuji Green Hotel is very close to the train station and situated close to most of what the town has to offer: restaurants, karaoke, convenience stores, etc. The staff was a friendly yet very professional man who seems like he may have worked here a long time. The atmosphere of the hotel was old: it seemed to jump straight out of the Showa Bubble Era (as did the whole town of Fuji, really). I wouldn't recommend this hotel to people looking for a modern hotel. There was a restaurant that I didn't go to, and breakfast was not included. The bed was comfortable, the room was warm, and everything was clean. As a walker, a bath is a necessity. There was a public bath that people could use privately (30 minutes at a time), and I was grumpy that I had to wait a little bit to take my turn. But that slight inconvenience aside, Fuji Green Hotel suited all my needs.

Great Budget Option”
Fuji Green Hotel was fantastic value for money. As a solo traveller who tends to stay in hostels I had booked a couple nights here purely because of the lack of availability of hostels closer to Mt. Fuji and it was the cheapest option. For a private room it's a really good price. If you're looking for somewhere to stay for climbing Mt. Fuji it is a little far from the 5th station, involving an 18 minute train to Fujinomiya then a 1hr30min bus, making it a bit ambitious to ascend and descend within the first and last bus but do-able. The hotel itself had friendly and hospitable staff, a lovely roof top restaurant and beer garden (open in summers) which looked out onto Mt. Fuji, and there was a communal bath which you could use in private and there were no rules concerning tattoos. It's also located just opposite Fuji Station.

Fuji handy”
We stayed only 2 nights to see Mt Fuji. We travelled far and wide but the best view of Mt Fuji was from the hotel rooftop! The hotel is next to several excellent Japanese restaurants and very close to Fuji station where you can also get a taxi to Shin-Fuji station if necessary. The Internet was lighting fast and staff very friendly. I would stay there again.

Just walk out of the hotel and you will be able to see Mount Fuji. For clearer view of course you might want to go to scenic points of the attraction. Friendly staff at reception and hotel provides free bread and drinks for breakfast when checking in.

Worth the price paid”
Nice bed and a bathroom with a bath tub. It is well worth the money paid for it. However it is a few minutes drive from the shinkansen(shin-fuji train station). about 1100 yen oneway. They even give you a bread roll and some toiletries at check in. I would have rated this all 5 star if they could have been a little bit accomodating to check me in a bit earlier. Due to my very early flight I was there by 12:30pm. Check in is at 3pm. I dropped luggage and went out, had lunch and came back at around 2:45pm. But they did not check me in even a minute earlier.

Location is quite close to the bus terminal and train station. A little disappointing is the room wasn't as clean as the other hotels I stayed in Japan. The aircon outlet looks like it was covered in dust, the toilet looks poorly maintained. The staffs are friendly though, they offered drinks / sandwiches when we return to the hotel. They even remembered your room number and is ready to pass you the key before you ask for it. Good view of Mount Fuji from some of the rooms. For those going to Mount Fuji - Fujinomiya trail, I do suggest that you stay at Fujinomiya instead of Fuji but it might be a hassle to transfer train. You will need to take the local train to Fuji and change train to get to Fujinomiya.

Stay was pleasant. Laundry self-service is cheap. Although there is no breakfast, bread, yogurt, and drinks are served everyday. Also, there are many rows and variety of cafes, eateries, restaurants located in the same street as the hotel.

Poor Quality Hotel”
Got a smoking room (requested non-smoking at booking), strong smell. Limited cheapy facilities. Over-priced. Does not meet the quality standard of a three star hotel.

Location is fine but the hotel itself looks very old, when i stayed there the airconditioning was not working properly, the front desk guy told that it will take at least half hour to cool the room and he brought me a table fan.

Smelly room, carpet must be taken away: so dirty and stained. The air conditioned didn’t work and you could see the moho in it. It good to have the station near, but at night you can’t sleep with the noise.

Horrible ”
The place is super run down and nothing great. We had no choice as we arrived late to change to any other hotel.I got cheated by reading the reviews and I believe it could have been written by some locals. The carpets are dirty, the bed sheets were very dirty. The staff was very calculative about everything despite knowing we were having an infant. Anything extra that you asked will be charged with a penalty or additional charges . Really a turn off and no politeness.

かれこれ10日近くお世話になってます。おススメしたいのは40%割引使えばメチャ安い！設備等は…まぁ古いホテルなので、そこは改善してほしいところ。スタッフの応対は皆さん感じ良い。掃除のおばちゃん達も含めて。食事はルームサービスしてくれて助かる。そして美味！WiFiが弱いけど富士宮は改善中だと言っていたから富士も改善すると思われる…かな。昭和生まれの自分は、あまり気にしないけど欲を言えば、風呂場のカビや浴槽のざらつきはキッチリ掃除してほしい。総合的に言えば安く泊まりたい方、建物の古さなんか気にしないって言う方は是非！駅からすぐの立地だから便利。便利だけど夜中は貨物列車走るから気にしない方は是非利用してみてください。
