Not a Bad experience”
This hotel is good if you do not have much expectations on the facilities and if you just want to go and sleep there. This is an old hotel with not many facilities. There are no in-room facilities like Water Kettle, Drinks, night wear (not free), old style AC vents without much control options, small bathroom cum toilet with old style fittings, etc. Direct Mt. Fuji view from the window for specific rooms, which is good. Beer vending machines are available on the ground floor. Onsen was open until 2 AM on the night I went but normally it closes around 11PM.

Old world charm Excellent Service with exceptional translators ”
Nice old school hotel with a bowling alley & games arcade. Reminds me of childhood days in Ipoh Perak Golf Club. With old world charms & beautiful views of FujiSan & the seaside town below. This hotel architecture is very ergonomically designer to capture The areas’s natural beauty including the breakfast restaurant on the annex roof top. Best to visit if you have your own car as transport May not be that great however the staff having been very helpful with directions & sent some assistance to pick us up twice from the lake station. Love this hotel 👍👍👍

A surreal holiday experience. Don't expect to move fast here.”
So we went to stay at this place without a clear understanding of the available transport. If you are coming to stay, then I recommend access to a car or plan your public transport well (check timetables). It was a bit of a nightmare for us to get there but with the help of some calls made from the tourist centre in Odawara Station and the staff at the hotel, we were able to get a shuttle bus sent from the nearest public transport to pick us up.. The hotel is a surreal place. With the isolation of the the Overlook Hotel (the Shining), and a hotel that looks like the summer camp of tomorrow designed in the 1950's it was interesting. Food buffets awesome. Onsens were great (tattoo friendly). Bowling alleys, games rooms, arcade make it great for a family holiday. If you dont need to get out and about this is a good to chill for a few days. Not a long drive to the tourist hotspots of Hakone. It is off the beaten track so don't expect much English from staff.

メールで問い合わせしているにもかかわらず、見てもいない。当日に何も対応できず。設備は古いし、風呂の眺めがいいだけの使ってはいけないホテル。

極めて普通”
宿泊してみて、印象は総じて普通です。 良かったところは料理は美味しかったところ。それとボウリング場やゲームコーナーがあり、子どもは楽しめたところ。当日は霧やら雲やらで分からなかったのですが、晴れて視界がクリアな日は景色が良いんだろうなあというところ。 イマイチかなあというところは、お風呂は箱根気分はあまり味わえない普通なところ。まあこれも晴れたらちょっと違うかも知れませんが。あとは食事場所でのスタッフの対応がスムーズじゃないところ。 一番残念だったのは、レセプションで夕食を付けてもらったときの対応です。チェックイン時、１０歳以下の小学校の子どもがいると言ったのにも関わらず、夕食は大人と同じ料金と言われました。事前にも調べていてあれ？っと思ったのですが、再度調べて、チェックアウトの際に指摘すると、やはり１０歳以下は子ども料金とのこと。対応した人は別の人でしたが、こちらが言わないと間違ったままで終わっていたので、何となくスタッフに共通認識がないような気がします。自分で気をつけておかないと、間違ったまま対応されるかも。 ＧＷ直前にようやく予定が確定してから探した場所で、他がほぼ残ってない中あった場所なので、見つかっただけでもラッキーとは思ってますが、次箱根に行くときは別の場所にするかもしれません。
