Great location and value for money”

The room was small, but to be expected given the location and price. It's my favourite part of London - this place is very good value for money.

Hotel OK, good location but overpriced”

Stayed only one night. Staff were helpful and the location was perfect for me. I know London well and this is why I chose it. I understand that London is expensive but I really felt that 144 GBP / approx 200 USD was really overpriced as they didn't even throw in breakfast for this price. A cup of coffee and a few slices of bread and jam would not have broken the bank. The room was OK but small. Was a twin but the beds were together like a double and it could do with being freshened up a bit. Nothing wrong with it really and would stay again if I could get it for a better price, but 200 USD a night without breakfast was just overpriced in my opinion.

Reasonable hotel for a reasonable price”

It was a pleasant stay . The deluxe double room, though not large was fine. The single room was a refurbished too with ensure shower room. The room was very small but clean and pleasant. The staff were extremely helpful and pleasant. A decent hotel for a decent price I would say. Should I need to be in the same area I would have no problem with staying there again.

As to be expected, for the central location and price, the rooom was very small. But the lobby is very lovely, and quiet, and the area is really great.

Great location for the cooler months”

This is a nice boutique hotel. The rooms are more like 2 - 3 stars, but the location is fantastic. The only major down side is that there is no air-conditioning, so being their in August was very hot. They did give me a fan and we could open the windows a slight bit, but with no cross-breeze, it was pretty hot. I'd definitely stay here again, but only in the winter, fall, or early spring!

for the price i paid for one weeknight in a prime central location, you can't have any complaints. would not hesitate to stay again.

Great! Positives: Perfect location, good value for money, tea available in the room, stylish decoration. Negatives: internet too expensive (£10 per day, while in any coffee place nearby for free), a little cold in the room

Fabulous location”

It is located only a few minutes from South Kensington tube station and within walking distance of the Natural History Museum, the V&A Museum and even the Harrods. Besides, it is in the quiet naighbourhood. I would recommend it if you don't mind the small size of the rooms.

The room is small and run down. Bathroom requires refurbishing. The bed was not comfortable and the pillows have seen better times.

L'emplacement à côté des musées et du Royal Albert Hall ainsi que une station de métro est parfait. Le hall d'entrée donne le change mais dans le détail la chambre que nous avons occupée laisse passer de l'air et la décoration date un peu. Peinture écaillée et bruit terrible de ventilation dans la salle de bain. Impossible de n'allumer la lumière que dans la salle de bain, il faut que toute la chambre soit allumée. Salle du petit déjeuner confortable. English Breakfast correct mais un peu cher dans l'ensemble. Le prix global est justifié par l'emplacement de l'hôtel.

avantages:quartier tres plaisant,sur a marcher tard la nuit.proche au metro et arret d'autobus de 24 h.calme la nuit sans bruit. a 2 pas de v.a + natural history museums.multitude de petits restos de differentes cuisines autour.petits markets pour boire et manger a la sortie du metro tres tard la nuit. literie de l'hotel tres confortable.personnel sympa. desavantages:chambre single extremement petit.impossible placer grande valise.armoire miniscule.la chambre ayant fenetre coulissante difficile a garder ouverte.cabine de douche tres petite avec jet d'eau place tres haut et fixe!!!! necessite d'aller chez le coiffeur tous les jours. ascenseur en panne 4 jours .montee au 4me etage 4 a 6 fois par jour.

Ottima posizione, camera molto piccola”

Ottima location vicina a metropolitana e a parecchie attrazioni. La camera singola è davvero minuscola, non c'era nemmeno il comodino vicino al letto. Il riscaldamento era costituito da un termosifone portatile che quasi non ci stava nella stanza. Camera e bagno vecchiotti e assai poco funzionali ma puliti.

Abbiamo soggiornato al The Gainsborough dal 29.12 al 06.01. E' in una bella zona rilassante e tranquilla e allo stesso tempo ben servita. Infatti si trova molto vicino alla fermata della metro (linee gialla verde e blu) comodissima, a due passi c'è il V&A Museum e il museo di Scienze Naturali, in 10/15 munuti a piedi si raggiunge la zona di Harrods infine nei paraggi dell'Hotel vi sono alcuni localini, non troppo cari, dove poter fare colazione la mattina (in hotel è troppo cara e non era compresa nel prezzo) e cenare la sera senza dover tornare in centro. Qui il ns soggiorno è stato gradevole anche se ci aspettavamo forse di più. L'albergo è vecchiotto e modesto nell'arredamento anche un po' raffazzonato ma accettabile, il livello di pulizia è sufficiente. Il personale è gentile e disponibile. La ns. stanza tripla al quarto piano (1 letto matrimoniale e 1 singolo) era sufficientemente comoda, ma decisamente gelida appena arrivati. Se vi capita accendete voi stessi subito il termosifone appena entrate!!!! Aveva una brutta vista sull'interno, ma si è rivelata una vera sorpresa, quando, all'ultimo dell'anno abbiamo scoperto che dalla ns. finestra si poteva vedere in lontananza il London Eye illuminato e soprattutto i bellissimi fuochi d'artificio. Così ha guadagnato 1000 punti!!!!!!!

２泊しました。１階のロビーとフロント周りだけ豪華だけど部屋はぼろかった。エアコンが壊れていて対応をお願いしても外国人（ポーランド人）のフロントは修理は明日になると言う。部屋を変えろと言っても明日になると言う。結果、蒸し暑くて眠れない夜を過ごしました。二度と泊まりません。
