Efficiency and comfort”
We paid a little extra for a lovely room with a 4-poster, 2 armchairs and a fine view of the sea. The hotel was busy but very well organised, despite covid. Meals and service were excellent. It wasn't especially well reviewed for some reason so I was anxious but all my apprehensions proved unjustified.

Stopped by during our NC500 trip. Excellent location and very friendly staff. We ended up having dinner and drinks here after the local restaurant stopped serving food very early. The beds were surprisingly comfy given the hotels decor and the shower was powerful in our first floor room. The hotel staff were great, and very accommodating when it came to our groups ridiculously fussy food orders.. breakfast was particularly good! The only small gripe would be the lack of cold beverages from the bar, and no cider. Otherwise a great bargain!

Old run down hotel in 70s time warp . Lacking a luck of paint hair in bath needs luck of paint ”
As above needs industrial clean new Windows new bathrooms complete redecoration . Staff do their best but hope not being used as cheap labour as everything seems done on the cheap .

For people doing the NC 500 this is a prefect place to stop and relax. Nice comfortable room Help-full staff Good food great views across the bay.

Happily suprised”
We chose this hotel as an overnight stopover and it was one of the budget options amongst the range of accommodation we had, so I was not expecting much. However, I was very happily surprised. We stayed in deluxe sea view room which was huge and had a lovely view of the ocean. There were two seats and a table which made having a cup of tea, and watching the world go by, quite a treat. The rooms were very clean and the bathroom looks recently updated. The food was good - homemade style in a large restaurant filled with families and travel groups. The energy provided was very cosy and comforting. All the staff were extremely friendly and helpful and added to the stay. There is a lovely bar area and family area with games to play. The carparking was a bit full but we managed to squeeze in. I was regretful that we only had one night here in the end, and recommend it to passing travellers.

Room was small, but bathroom minute! ”
The hotel is a grand looking place overlooking the sea. The room allocated was small, with sea facing view, clean and just about doable. But the bathroom was so small there wasn’t room to get a cat through the door, never mind swing one! It consisted of a square 600 x600 shower cubicle and squeezed alongside a toilet in a 400mm space. The full width of the room! The sink was a very small corner basin you couldn’t put two hands in to wash. When squeezed in to sit on the toilet, the inflexible toilet tool holder was in the way of my knees. I swear the room was not more than a metre square inside, although I didn’t measure it! So whilst we spent one night at the hotel, the proverbial cat was safe!

Basic but functional, rather than luxurious”
We were stuck in a dark, drab room at the back of the hotel, overlooking a car park. Corridors full of bundles of laundry/bedding. Breakfast was decent though. Nice views from the front of the hotel, which is quite an imposing building.

Beautiful position right by the beach and loads of amazing scenery in the area. Our room was a wee bit down at heel (worn carpet, condensated windows) but comfy bed, good shower and plenty of room. It was also nice and quiet.

Friendly staff, easy check in, bar, and well priced and nice food no need to shop around. A little bit away from anything but as we like walking we didn't mind. Petrol station right next door so no need to worry about filling up. Beautiful beaches.
