Really great place to relax in the jacuzzi or pool, friendly staff, great location with ten minutes walk to KTEL bus station and central Fira shops. Bus station has good connections to the rest of the island, and the central clinic of santorini is also nearby. Would highly recommend the double room :)!

The hotel has hot water open air jacuzzi and a swimming pool also. The prices of the rooms are competitively low. The location is bit far from the centre but it is just 20 mins walk.

The most memorable moment with the stay is the cat that came into our room as a surprise. The cat was so adorable and we just enjoy the companions 😄 Location wise, it is approximately 15min walk from Fira town, and the slope could be challenging if you are having a heavier luggage.

Nice, traditional, quiet and clean place, with friendly staff. Near the center of Fira, approximately 15-20min from taxi and bus station. It is located at a lower altitude from the center, so you have to walk downhills-uphills. The swimming pool is ok, but a bit small. The room had tv, air-conditioning, mini fridge, coffee maker, blow dryer and part of the yard with table and chairs. The cleaner works everyday.

Great budget stay for Santorini”
I stayed one night in the hotel and had no real issues. It's easy enough to find, just a short walk from the main streets and square. Staff where lovely and accommodating. The rooms were clean and my room had a cute little balcony. I didn't use the pool so I cannot comment on that aspect. It's nothing glamorous and a little small but for the price in Santorini during the peak seas I found it perfect for place to sleep.

Good location (5-10 mins from town) but on a long swooping hill. Hard work in the sun! Small pool, which doesn’t get the sun and a roof top area with 6 sun loungers and jacuzzi (which didn’t work). We had two rooms. The superior room for four was a tight squeeze. Sofa bed on bottom floor (didn’t extend, ie for 1) a double bed and another no extendable sofa bed upstairs. No room for four cases etc but we managed. Lady in reception was lovely recommending trips etc, the gentleman not so much. We were able to store luggage and wash after checking out before flight. Basic but ok.

Location to far from centre”
Location was far from the centre point with nothing really surrounding the hotel to visit during the stay. For the price we paid we should have been in the heart of the city not that far out. And the stairs with luggage was very hard. We waited over an hour for the local bus to take us to the city centre.

Bad surprise”
We booked a double bedroom 2 months before our arrival in Santorini. Once reached the hotel, we have been informed that the room requested wasn’t available and that they would have given us a twin bedroom. The hotel is 15 minutes walking from the center and the place for parking your means of transport is not granted. When we asked to find a solution for the bed and for the park the staff was unable to find a solution or alternatives. The room was at the ground floor and to keep the window open at night was impossible. The furniture were old even if well maintained and cleaned. Not again

Find Budget option”
Galatia Villas is a fine budget option in Santorini where location is a premium. The trade-off for the low price is a good 15 to 20 minutes walk, much of it up Hill to the main square in Fira. For places in this area away from the caldera, it's unfortunate there is no motorbike taxi service on the island. The rooms here appear to be nearly brand new, fairly decent in size, and quite clean and bright. It first appear that the hot water wasn't working, until I realized I do need it to open the electrical box and turn the circuit breaker on. Would have been helpful if the hotel had provided some notice. Otherwise things went smoothly. My only request for service was to arrange a taxi to the airport very early in the morning and the taxi arrived right on time. If you're fit or don't mind the inconvenience of some rather rigorous walking in the interest of saving money, then this hotel offers a good value.

Beautiful hotel, exceptional location, very clean and modern, friendly staff. 15 minutes taxi ride or bus ride from the airport. 20 euro for taxi and 1.90 euro for bus. 15 minute walk to the city center and markets. 15 minute walk to Santorini cable car and Three bells of Fira. many Churches around. Beautiful surrounding. Cafes and restaurants just 10 minute walk from the hotel. mini markets just 5 minute walk away where you can buy groceries. bus station is 10 minutes walk away from where you can get buses to Oia, Firostefani and Imerovile for just 1.90 euro and about 20 minutes ride. very friendly staff, clean rooms with fridge, tv, etc. clean washrooms. great privacy. transfers arranged by hotel. we got a free upgrade to a studio room which was great. safe surrounding. amazing night life just few minutes away from the hotel. nice pool and outdoor dining areas - but have to bring food from out.

Hotels pre-booked transfers are very disappointing”
For our arrival, we pre-booked with the hotel a 'private' pick-up transfer (€10 per person) from Athinios Port. I'd read lots of stories about the long slow trip from the Port to Fira. The trip is approximately 10km, but the first 4km is a very steep climb up a narrow single lane road, with 7 or more tight hairpin bends. There is no opportunity to pass, so after a ferry has arrived, the traffic is like a long slow procession of ants crawling up the sheer cliff-face. To get a jump on the traffic, we made sure we were among the first passengers off the ferry. We found our driver holding a sign with our name, and thought we would be on our way. No - that's when we discovered our 'private' transfer wasn't private at all. We waited for 5 more passengers off the same ferry, and then 2 more passengers off the next ferry. After 45 minutes (or more) we were finally on our way. By now the traffic was horrendous! Each passenger paid €10 per person - so €90 for the mini-van to travel a 10km trip - an absolute rip-off and misrepresentation of the service we were sold! In addition to this, we were not dropped at the door of the hotel. Instead we were dropped off roadside at the top of a steep hill and left to navigate the decline with our luggage. The hotel was nearby (down the hill and around the corner), but no staff member came to meet us and assist with our luggage. Not exactly a warm welcome! At check-out we experienced more transfer problems - this time going to the Airport (€10 per person - distance 5.5km). We had a 6:40 am flight (to Athens), so had to be at the Airport at 5:40 am. When we pre-booked the transfer with the Hotel, we were told we'd be picked up out the front of the Hotel at 5:00 am. By the time we got our luggage to the front gate it was 5:03 am. We waited 5 minutes or so and nobody arrived. The Hotel reception opens at 8:00 am so there were no staff available. We wondered if there had been a mix-up with instructions, so decided to head

Lovely stay in Santorini”
The hotel is very clean and comfortable. Excellent Internet connection which is free of cost. The location is very nice, in a quiet location of Fira and close to the centre of the town, 5 minutes walking. The hotel staff very kind and gentle. The hotel has a nice swimming pool and it has lots of flowers around with night candle lamps lit in the garden in the evening for a unique ambience. I was very satisfied with my stay at Galataia Villas.

amazing hotel on amazing santorini”
fantastic hotel with great staff, amazing pool in a great location, 5 mins quad ride from the centre of fira. beautiful hotel and grounds, no restaurant but the recomendations from the owner were amazing. santorini is a magical place and this accommodation helped our stay to be 10/10 :) even comes with friendly cats . only down fall was the shower in the tiny bathroom but hey, its a small thing not to be dwelled on.
