No Reason to Stay Here”
The location is so out of town that every time you need to take a cab to go anywhere in the city. There is really no reason to stay here. The hotel is clean and rooms although on the smaller size offers decent amenities. DO NOT choose this for its location - its no good. There are plenty of other hotels with much better location at this price range. The manager was arrogant and we did not really take the tour package from the hotel as it was frustrating talking to him. Also the charge for the tour to Tsogmo lake was 40% higher compared to other quotes. Restaurant closes early and the bar although nicely equipped - is small and dingy.

Dear MD Thank you for the stay, Gangtok Drift is only 2.8 km from M.G.Marg and cabs are available round the clock @ 25 per person. The tour package from hotel is resonable in order to provide secure transport and friendly driver who take care of the passengers with responsibilities, else street taxis and agencies are there which guests can opt at cheaper rates in their own responsibilities.
Value for money with great staff”
Four of us including two kids were in Gangtok for 3 days and Gangtok Drift Hotel made our stay very pleasant. Breakfast was good and more than everything Staff are very polite and supportive. Specially reception manager and Chef Umesh K Roy. Thanks Gangtok Drift
