Great place, fantastic staff !!!”
We stayed 3 days in Giddy's and it was great. Clean and spacious room, nice pool, nice place. WIFI not great, but it was the case everywhere in Donsol. It is 5min away from the beach in Tricycle and even if the beach is not very nice in Donsol, it is close enough. The staff was fantastic !!! Always smiling and helping whether you need info, or want to book any trip, tour, dive (I heard they are the only PADI certified dive center in Donsol). We booked our diving + whale sharks snorkeling with them and it was awesome and easy. The only negative point I'd put is the restaurant. It is clean and service is good, but the food is just ok ... not bad, but just ok.

Great spot in town”
Giddy's is a great place to stay while in Donsol. Although it is not on the beach it is perhaps in a better location, depending on what you're in for. Giddy's is located in town and allows visitors to walk out of the hotel and be right in the city, near the markets, shops, and local culture. While Giddy's has reliable wifi, a good restaurant/bar serving to a western palate, and accepts credit cards, it is not the only place in town with these amenities. Signs for Visa and Mastercard are all around the city, wifi is available in most hotels (and even in some home stay locations), and a number of western food options can be found (especially near the tourist center and beach area.) If you're looking to mix it up in the city and get into the local culture while staying at a nice, clean, and reliable hotel then Giddy's is a great place. Even if you don't stay here, stop in for a drink and the chance for some live music (not every night.)

Great Diving Experience with Giddy's”
Spent an enjoyable couple of nights and a day diving at Manta Bowl with Giddy's PADI dive centre. Impressed with Jeremie, Giddy's very experienced and safety conscious dive instructor, easily the best in Donsol. Dove in a group of five whale sharks at Manta Bowl- amazing. Comfortable accommodation and Butanding Bar and Resto ably managed by Kat. I'll be back!

Location We spent 6 nights at Giddy's. It was pretty close to the bus stop in central Donsol. We'd booked this location instead of the dive resorts in Dancalan because we thought that being in town would provide more options for grocery shopping and eating (we're vegetarian). Upon arrival, we found that to have been the wrong call. There is a local wet market nearby and a fried chicken place next door, but practically every other eatery (besides Giddy's restaurant) is a 5-10 min tricycle ride away in Dancalan. Restaurant Giddy’s seems to be one of the only resorts in Donsol that provides free breakfast for those staying there. The meal is comprised of coffee, toast w/butter, and eggs (omelette, fried, or sunny-side up). We worked our way through all the egg options throughout our stay and found them all to be drowning in oil. Seriously. We would grab the napkin container from the bar, go through 10-15 napkins each to mop up the oil, then eat breakfast and cross our fingers. Some days

Good place to stay in Donsol, Bicol, Philippines”
The hotel is easy to find in Donsol. We had a big party of 9 adults and 4 children in the two family rooms, plenty of space for all really nice on ground floor next to swimming pool and the room facilities and servicing were excellent. The food was good. The Spa is worth a visit after a hard day. We traveled from Batangas by car 500km and the road around Antimonen to Bicol was terrible, now only suited to 4 wheel drive and this is the main Philippine National Road. The only was to go is to fly and rent a car.

Donsol a small town. Very good dive site for soft coral at island near by. We enjoy the fresh fish at the market that we bought and Giddy Place cook for us. The restaurant best dish is honey bake chicken, that 1 hour to order.

Great bar and restaurant”
We loved the owner and the staff; the owner was very knowledgeable about diving and how to see the butanding (whale sharks). My wife swam with one large one and was thrilled. I went diving to mana ray bowl and loved it. The rooms were clean and the meals great, we took every meal here; as it is the best in town.

Now being familiar with Donsol, I would opt for one of the beach front hotelsThe town itself is rustic,and therefore interesting to walk about (for 1 day but not every day), but personally I would prefer to be by the water. The room was ok, the bathroom was cute with running hot water. Amenities were basic. But the bottled water and having a fridge to freeze the bottles was great. My room faced the street, and a compound of families. The kids were cute and said hi all the time! Shuttle, and tours were about 500 - 1000php more expensive at Giddy's than other hotels.. So that in addition to more expensive rooms is somewhat off-putting. We had friends staying at a beach front hotel at the same time.

Basic, PADI certified but still had to go outside.”
Although PADI certified, and the only PADI certified in Donsol, this hotel is not on the beach or anywhere near the water, and still had to go elsewhere for the dive bookings. I travelled with 2 other friends, 2 of whom stayed at a beach front hotel. We also found out that the tours and shuttle service were 500-1000php less booking through the other hotels. Staff were friendly enough and quite helpful.

There was a brown out for a few hours and the only place in town that still had electricity was Giddies because they have a very nice huge generator on their lot. Food was decent, nice pool area. Strong Wifi. Good staff and rooms.

Staff very friendly. Rooms are clean and beds are comfortable. Wifi not the greatest kept cutting out. Food in restaurant is good - very good tomato pasta sauce.

there's not much to do around the place... no view of the beach whatsoever the wifi does not reach all the rooms it is about 10mins tricycle ride to the tourist center by the beach if you are not dying for wifi, you are better off staying at the beachfront hotels

diving was expensive, equipment was not as it should be in relation to price. Dive master and staff were good. Internet was bad, breakfast was very simple.

The hotel is basically OK. It is located in the town area. However, the town is quite quiet. No night life at all. There is no point to insist to stay in the town area. Comparing the hotel located in the beach. It seemed a bit expensive for Giddy’s Place. Giddy’s shall consider to cut their rate a bit.
