The friendly and welcoming Gifford House has free on street parking and is about 1.25 miles south of Princes Street and on a main bus route to Edinburgh city centre. Awarded a 4-star Gold Award by Visit Scotland, Gifford House is on the A7, but is quiet and peaceful to the rear. Rear bedrooms enjoy superb views towards Salisbury Crags and Arthur's Seat. The Victorian house serves a full Scottish breakfast and offers a good breakfast menu. Everything here is excellent! I love how the hosts treat the guests. Breakfast is always superb. The room that we stayed in were very spacious and clean. The only setback is that it is quite far from the center of the city. Although it is quite near from Arthur's Seat. I'll sure wish I could stay again here.
