Room is large. Toilet & shower is clean and modern. Bring your own soap & shampoo. Hand towel was smelly due to being on heated towel rail. I used my own. Breakfast is not cooked but is very reasonable. Bed was very comfortable with clean duvet & pillow . Very covid-19 friendly. Our host was very friendly & helpful. Plenty of parking space. Make sure your handbrake works though. Location to Portree is only a 10 min walk to town. In general very good value for money.

Everything was great, really nice owner”
We could check in late as we received an introductory video about check in process. Everything was clear, contact with the owner was great with blazingly fast responses. Room was clean and in a good condition. We also enjoyed our breakfast :) The only minor annoyance was heater not always working, but the owner handled this situation well and it doesn't seem like his fault. Anyway it wasn't cold during the night. We'd happily stay there even longer, but the place was fully booked. Fantastic value for the price.

We stayed for 5 nights and really enjoyed our stays. Great continental breakfast. Great host who always asked about your needs. Great room, clean, tidy and comfortable. Great location, 20 mins walk to the city centre or just 5 mins drive. Great value for money. Free on-site car park. Will definitely come back again. Definitely recommended.

100% perfect for me ”
Video given prior to stay showing exactly ABC of how to get to room ,what room looks like and how to use shower etc . Then list of breakfast options and you can pick.Julian then texts you if you are ok and if you want any more breakfast or help with absolutely anything. My room ( 5 ) had blackout blinds, toilet , couches ,view. perfect. I felt safe and not bothered by anyone . Would recommend , close to all places to visit and lots of laminated walk info /maps etc in room . thanks julian

Great budget hotel in Portree”
This is a guesthouse is based just a short walk from Portree. We appreciated the extra touches such as a video showing us where to park and enter and the ability to contact the owner by WhatsApp. When you're driving the Highlands and you're not sure when you'll arrive this makes things a lot easier! Jurrian was a great host and gave us fruit for our onward journey as we didn't take up the complimentary breakfast, I would recommend to anyone looking for good value accommodation in the area.

Good value, nice rooms, nice owner”
Lots of places in Givendale but this was the best value. It's better for couples because the place is near Portree harbour but not so near. So the walk might get boring. Owner is great, always available. I think once the threat of the virus is completely gone and hot breakfasts are available again, this place will be even better! Walls are a bit thin so you can hear people outside but not such a bother if neighbors are respectful.

Excellent room, very spacious and lovely bathroom. Don't let the exterior or the corridor put you off, the interior is cosy, clean and comfortable. The host is very attentive and will try his best to accommodate your needs as best he can. Due to Covid our breakfast was only continental and served in our room but that worked out extremely well. Great location as well, can walk into town in 15 minutes or car in two. Beautiful views and very central to visit lots of the beautiful sites on Skye. Would definitely return in a heartbeat.

Lovely Stay”
The hosts of this guesthouse are truly so so lovely! Very helpful and kind. And the bed is the most comfortable I’ve ever slept in. The only thing to remember is to bring your own shower gels and shampoo. Thankfully they had leftovers from, previous guests but if you’re like me and only travel with a backpack and don’t carry shampoo with you, best not to forget it.

Julienne was a great host. Breakfast in room due to Covid control otherwise seemed like a nice sun room for another day to enjoy breakfast. Beds comfy, short walk to centre, clean room and bathroom . Breakfast was plentiful with cereal toast and fruit selection.

Basic facilities. No toiletries, television or heating. Was expecting cooked Scottish breakfast but received cereal and toast delivered to room. Approximately 20 min walk to town centre. Also some steep steps inside property to bedrooms. Not suitable for anyone with mobility issues. Gardens very overgrown and unattended giving it a rundown appearance. A lot cheaper than other guest houses in the area which will suit some.

Towels were damp, room was dated and musty, bathroom was a bit grim with stains in the toilet. For the price (£85) you could find better.

If you don’t look into the corners, it’s okay. The beds and the bathroom were tidy and clean. Perhaps the website should say that it’s a plain continental breakfast. For one night the stay was okay.
