It was a good experience and i would definitely come again. At the ground floor is a convenience store -7/11. ATM machines are located nearby- one next to 7/11, the other at the opposite side of the road and metrobank just at the corner. There’s a decent beauty saloon at the groundfloor too. Very strategic location as it is close to the mall, market, police station and call center. The cons are; there’s no elevator and the blankets are too thin (if only they could provide duvet or something thicker), no bidet. Overall, it’s very clean even the hallway were constantly kept neat and tidy.

Value for Money”
Location is definitely great - walking distance from the city and lots of nearby restaurants where you can eat. Room was clean and comfortable enough. Staff are friendly and accommodating. We had to rebook our stay because all trips to Siquijor are cancelled so our vacation was cut short. Good thing they allowed to move our reservation to an earlier date. Appreciate it! We will definitely stay here again if we come back to Dumaguete.

Very nice hotel”
It's a nice hotel for tourists and I would stay here again if there's a parking space. But if you don't have a car then this hotel is a good place to stay while in Dumaguete. It's clean, with nice rooms, friendly staff, very close to tourist sites, ATM/banks, 7-Eleven and other stores, etc.

At first, i thought i made a mistake to book my 10 day stay in Dumaguete in Golden Gate. I am happy that they changed my mind positively. It is a cost effective, clean and hospitable staffs that made me enjoy my stay in Dumaguete. I highly recommend this hotel. Kudos to you!

The location is great. There are a lot of food establishments nearby. There’s even a blind massage spa at the ground floor. Though it’s in the center of the city, once we were inside the room, we didn’t feel the hustle and bustle city vibe anymore. The room was clean and comfortable. We were able to rest well, and it was really important to us since we came from a long-hour trip. Plus, the staff were superb. They even let us checked in even before the said check in time. But what stood out for us was when they went beyond their way in assisting us to find a ride going to Sibulan port at 4am. So kudos to all of you! 👍🏼👍🏼

Did a last minute booking bcoz there was construction near our house and it was too noisy and dusty. I’m glad the booking was really fast! We upgraded to their suite which was really nice and very comfortable. Thank you Golden Gate for accommodating us!

We stayed in this hotel in November 2019. We were very satisfied, rooms are clean and people are very helpful, good location. Good value for money, so full score from our side, just don't expect the ritz. We definitely recommend it.

Enjoyed our 5 night stay”
We loved our stay at GGS. Very clean rooms. Great value for money! Staffs are friendly and accommodating. They have a roof top where we hung our wet clothes which I really really liked. The hotel is located 3 to 4 blocks away from restaurants, fast food joints, pharmacy is just across the street, massage areas and the best thing is, 7 11 just down the building. Downtown is also just 5 mins away. Very great place. 😊👍🏼

Fair price for clean small room, clean bedsheets, and towels, aircon, mattress ok, basic toiletries kit, plenty of plugs, reliable Wi-Fi, 500 pesos deposit, cold and hot water dispenser on the reception, small wardrobe; no bedside lamp our table. No breakfast, flat screen TV with a dozens of channels, efficient and clean WC and hot/cold shower, 2-minute walk to 7/11, 5 minute-walk to a dozen other eateries, fruit & veggies market and 2 main downtown supermarkets, 8 minutes to water-ront, 24-hour English speaking reception, no lift, rooms in 3 floors

I immediately booked Golden Gate Suites the moment I read the great reviews through Agoda— no regrets as I enjoyed every single night of our stay there. Pros (+) - Value for money. Still couldn’t believe this is a budget hotel. For a room less than Php 1000 (approx $20), you get to have a comfy double bed, clean sheets, spacious room/ bathroom, a/cs in good condition, cable tv, basic toiletries, regular housekeeping (request basis), free drinking water, warm, knowledgeable & helpful hotel staff from the receptionists, security guard, every staff. We were able to borrow an umbrella since it was raining when we visited. - Place is near the boulevard (where most of the restaurants are located) but not walking distance- near. You would still need to ride a tricycle that costs a dime (Php 10/ride route per person) - I’d say the hotel is strategically located since there’s a convenient store (7/11), coffee shop, massage facilitated by the blinds, a spa/massage parlor at the ground.

Great Location but the AC needs maintenance”
Golden Gate Suites' location is very ideal very near our preferred spots in the area. Walking distance to the market where you can try eating breakfast at Painitan, minutes walk to the famous Sans Rival and the bay area. Plus is a 7-11 convenience store located in the first floor and the services of the blinds for a great massage after a whole day of strolling the city. The only downside was that our room's air-conditioning unit was not in good condition, it's not cool even if it's in the lowest temperature setting already. I told the receptionist about it upon our check-out but she just said that may be it needs some cleaning. They should not give the room to guests if the AC is not in good condition in the first place.
