Clean and the sauna pool was relaxing”
Couldn't say anything less. Money was worth it. Clean and well insulated room, we even woke up in the middle of the night to turn off the heater. Would definitely come back some other time.

Good value for money but tired”
When we’re there they are in the middle of renovating so it’s not quite all there. Clean linens etc but the place just tired and need doing up. Good value though and not a major emergency housing provider.

Comfortable stay”
Stayed 2 nights in the motel , the Chinese staff were very helpful . Plenty of parking spaces , got a room right inside and free from main road noise. Walking distances to town center .

Location and clean”
We had a comfortable stay. Beds were comfy, room was very clean and there was a kitchennet. Added plus, our room had a spa tub at the back. Parking was also available just outside our door. Big supermarket opposite the motel. Staff was helpful.

Basic place - good enough for a brief stay”
My partner and I stayed here for one night as part of our road trip of the North Island. The staff were helpful and upgraded us on arrival to one of the rooms with a jacuzzi. That was definitely the highlight of the stay. Unfortunately however, the room was basic and definitely in need of an update. There was also an underlying smell of damp coming from the bathroom, which all the new towels smelled of. All in all, this place was fine for a quick stay, but I wouldn’t recommend this to someone staying for longer.

Needs renovation ”
I have stayed here before many times and they are same. Pros : location(super near everything), Staff very helpful. Cons : property needs serious renovation, Everything is pretty old in the rooms, spa pool got few cracks altho the output doesn’t have any affect, feels very congested.

Nice place”
Located centrally, this place is ideal for families seeking accomodation. The kichenette and other facilities were very good and the staff too are helpful. With other conveniences like supermarket etc. in close proximity this is a very good place to stay in Rotorua.

OK”
The place was actually excellent. However, a friend who was not staying there came and he parked in one of the free spots. We told the woman at the reception about it. A few minutes later, another guy at the reception had apparently called the police after seeing an unregistered car at the motel! He then proceeded to lie and say that he came over to our room to ask us about it and we told him we didn't know anything. In truth, no one knocked on our room door that night (our door was even left slightly ajar as it was kind of warm that night). Apart from that incident, Golden Glow was a pretty good choice.

"Glowing" experience”
This was the best of the motels we stayed. The owners and staff served us with their hearts and made the stay a comfortable one. They were free with their advice. Friendly and helful (they told us in advance that there would be a shortage of staff on Christmas as it was the holidays and this assisted our planning).

Lovely place to stay”
Perfect little motel unit, soooooo insanely clean and the staff are very helpful and friendly. Units are really cute too with VERY comfy beds, we slept like babies. Also near everything you need and short walk from the centre of town. Would definitely recommend.

Private spa was relaxed”
We loved the spa. But it was very warm in the room after using the spa. Still a good motel to be for a few days.
