        International friends to climb Mt Fuji”

        The new 7th station is about as far down the mountain as you can be to climb for sunrise but it was a nice and peaceful stop to rest and refuel on our strenuous journey. Water and food options are extremely limited so plan on only using in emergent situations. Staff mostly did not speak English but could figure out most requests.

        Great Place For Climbing Fuji”

        We stayed here overnight while climbing Mt. Fuji on the Fujinomiya Trail. We slept early, left at midnight, and climbed until dawn, reaching the summit at 4:15am, right before sunrise. The staff is great, the meals were filling and tasty, and they even accommodated my fish allergy, giving me an alternative soup and breakfast.

        Good lodge on the way to the summit”

        Good lodge, it was the beginning of the climbing season, with very few people at the time. A lot of empty beds, wo we had a lot of space to sleep. In case of crowded nights, I imagine it can be a lot less enjoyable (with 4 people in our space for 2)... Anyway, we slept only 3 or 4 hours before going to the summit to see the sunrise. Pretty good beds with futons and blankets, very nice temperature. Nice staff, minimal toilet (no shower obviously). Awesome sunrise, but we had to struggle with the bad weather (a lot of rain and wind). We were so cold arriving around the 9th station. Carry enough warm and waterproof clothes (we had though but it was tough anyway!). Our gloves (not waterproof) were soaked very quickly. Hope for the best, prepare for the worst.
