Divers paradise”
Not a diver but was interested in a short stay at the seaside, The resort is actually a mansion with high ceilings and enormous rooms even the bathrooms are huge. At the entrance a big swimming pool. We had the 2 suites facing the beach. Balcony connected our rooms. Downstairs a divers equipment shop/rental. The beaches are quiet, more dive resorts left and right of Graceys. Sea is warm and snorkeling is also possible, Grace runs the resort and is most of the time available for questions and suggestions. Had a wonderfull 2 days.

Very good”
The place is gorgeous, lots of character. My guess? it was a rest house which was slowly turned into a resort over time, they rent out rooms inside the house(rooms with shared bathroom) and then there are those located outside the house. When you book your rooms, first read through if youre choosing a ROOM ONLY with shared bathroom or a room with private bathroom. I accidentally clicked on that former and had to change my booking thanks to agoda for assisting me on that endeavor! Staffs a bit unorganized, theres a disconnect on communication, but theyre all very nice, friendly and helpful! If you need assistance hailing for a ride, theyll help you with that in a snap. Staff isnt on duty 24-7, so make sure you get all the food and drinks you need before the staff leaves. A sign that you are in the province is the abundance of ants and you will find a lot of it here as well, you cant help it, just make sure to dust them off the places youll be staying at. Im obsessing with the bathrooms, heres more too it, the height of each and every sink, shower head and toilet placement is a bit far fetched. If youre a 4-5foot girl, you probably need to bring a ladder with you if you use Room4. Water pressure is very adequate. They have a well stocked scuba diving gear and they have a boat for going to apo island, check up on their deals. To summarize, if you wanted a luxurious 5star hotel this isnt it, but if you wanted a lowkey mom and pop homey feel place with character this is the place to be, either choices arent extremes but more of what you expect the place to have.

Good last minute booking.”
We were just in the area and quickly booked a room after we decided to stay in dauin overnight. Nothing special about this place except for being the cheapest choice. But the service, cleanliness and accommodation is great. It also has a swimming pool and beach access.

restaurant out of basic things. food was not good”
I told them after the first night that i would be only staying 2 nights of the four. THe restaurant had little to offer and the food was salty. they were out of many things. Breakfast is only toast and jam and a small cup of weak coffee. The refill was 45 pesos additional. (some free breakfast with the room) So i think i was billed for the 4 nights anyway. this place is designed to get you hooked into a stay but not to provide anything that would bring you back. I love traveling and the Pi. There is better food at Mikes dauin resort nearbye. Yum. (a ten minute walk) THe bathroom needs repairs. the place was built to be fancy but half of the interior lights dont work. Faucets are loose the hot water is only barely warm. I assume they have few repeat customers. We complained about bad meal and the responce was "oh" not even an im sorry. Rice was too dry to eat. spagetti too salty . and they were out of most of our requests. No deserts because out of icecream. it seems like no one cares to keep it stocked. I given em a low rating. the a/c ran great and the bed was comfortable. the room was very bright early in the morning. we were in rm 8. be sure to notice some rooms have shared bathrooms. David C

not what you expect from the pictures”
One of the cases where a place does not meet the expectations when looking at the pictures on the internet. Our room in the basement was smaller and much more basic than described, quite a lot of building and mess around the place. The restaurant could be a beautiful location at the beach and so is the pool at the main entrance - but both suffer from carless neglect. Catering for hoards of drinking and partying locals seems to be the main purpose for keeping these facilities running. Even so, when you want to go diving and stay at a place in more or less central Dauin then this option is fine (especially when other places nearby can cost you substantially more pesos),

Long ride to/from city center”
It was alright, the staff were attentive and helpful. The place is not very accessible though. You can walk to the main road going to the city but it is quite a long ride especially if you have an elderly guest. There's not much to see in the town of Dauin except the beaches and so we really have to travel to the city (Dumaguete) to see touristy sites. The tricycle fares could also be pricey especially if the drivers can spot you as a tourist. For instance, we paid 400 after serious haggling (we were asked 650 pesos) from Sibulan port to Dauin. From the airport to the city, the fare could cost P120. If you walk out from the airport to the main road and get the tricycle there, you only pay 20 pesos.

Beautiful private home turned hotel on beach”
Stay was very pleasant. Low season so entire area very quiet also. Truly a hidden gem. Do be aware that depending on your room, you may have to share the CR with others. Only issue for me was the food - but this is a problem I always have in PI as I am a vegetarian. Not so many options, so you will find yourself searching other restaurants nearby. Also on the salty side. However, happily they had fresh brewed coffee all day long, and a decent selection of beer for after a day of diving!

Basic amenities in a quaint roadside community”
The Gracey wasn't quite as advertised. The photos look a lot nicer on the site and the actual space is a bit more run down. For the price, it isn't bad. But they seem to allow a lot of kids from the neighbourhood to swim in their pool making it very noisy for guests and not very private. Walking to the resort from the jeep stop is a bit confusing the first time cause there's no road signs and no paved road.

nice and quiet place”
it was really nice place, there were not many guests when i stayed there so it was quiet. Not much to do in Dauin tho. Dumagaeti is better

Unique beachfront building wth high ceilings. Quiet and relaxed with helpful staff. Had a good experience with Bongo Dive, as there wasn't any diving at the hotel. Food was good too!

nice quaint building”
we were initially surprised at how far from dumaguete this was but after we arrived and saw the place we really liked it. we were right on beautiful beach with very clean water. we had a very large beautiful room with poster bed and nice view of ocean staff were very friendly and food we had was good. only drawback is you need to take local transport to town and sometimes hard to get back to hotel late at night

dissappointing”
The Resort is a large villa with good rooms with tall ceilings and no chairs. A few rooms have airco even. No complimentary water, tea or coffee in the room. The hotel is clean, but not well maintained, The "free breakfast included" is below even Motel 6 standards, just toast, marmalade and a banana, sometimes there is milk to go with the cereal. For a real Filipino breakfast we paid an extra 150 pesos each. There was NO WiFi during the three days we were there. The staff is very unprofessional, one staff member sleeping on the couch in the lobby, other staff members just busy on their phone. Have not much knowledge about the menu, what makes us think that not many people eat here. Staff could not advice us on how to get to the airport from this location in Dauin. We found no diving activity here. There are much better "resorts" in this area at a slightly higher price.

Beautiful Hotel, wonderful staff”
When we arrived the whole hotel was in darkness and it took 20 minutes of banging on the gate and calling before staff realised we where outside. However, when we did get in staff we incredible apologetic. As we had the whole place to ourselves we where upgraded and got a beautiful room overlooking the garden and beach. Meals where average and there is not much choice in the area. However, it was easy enough to get a jeepney to Dumaguete. The staff where impecable and they took really good care of us

Quiet and clean, but difficult to find the place”
We came here for our diving trip. The room we got was very good and the balcony was huge so that we could dry our diving gears very easily. Only the drawback is that this place was very difficult to find. Google map was off and taxi driver had too ask around when we get there. Anyway, pleasant stay.

Chaotic”
Booked 3 nights but was told that only 2 night were available, the third night would have to be spent at a neighboring hotel. In the bed sheets, we found three dead spiders. The room was located right next to the swimming pool, which had 5-10 screaming kids at all times until 6pm. There was also construction right next door, which stopped at 5pm (early Oct 2017). The hotel also forgot to clean the room one of the days. Besides these negatives, the staff was nice and return the money for the third night and cleaned the room when we pointed out their oversight, and the location is great - close to downtown and to good dive shops.

Can't reccomend this place”
Stayed in their "special deluxe" room for 3 nights. Aircon and refrigerator are the only positive things here. Water in the bathroom didn't flow away. And the staff could do nothing with this. There were no hanger in the room nor in the bathroom. And no shelf for toiletries in the bathroom. So we had to dry our towels and keep clothes right on the sofa. We had only bread, jam, butter and instant coffee for our included breakfast. The room wasn't cleaned during our stay. Very dissapointable resort.

Good”
We didn’t initially book this resort; there was a technical fault and our original resort was double booked. The property was right on the beach! Which was was great as the other wasn’t. The pool was a little dirty with flies but otherwise good. The building itself needed a little TLC (woodwork touching up) and there were a lot of ants and cobwebs everywhere. The food was great. Staff okay.
