Nice hotel in country side ”
Nice hotel in Japan country side. Have convenience store opposite to the hotel. Just 8 mins walk to the Aeon mall. Nice staff and clean room. However just a little bit far from the Shingu station. It takes 15 mins walk, if you bring the suitcase or have a big baggage I suggest you can take taxi. Just 600 yen and 5 mins can go to the Shingu station. Highly recommended and will stay in here next time if I travel kumanokodo.

Nice Location”
It is close to dinning places and 10 minutes walk from supermarket. However, it is a bit far from station, 1.3 km. There is bus stop near this hotel which helps given I walked with some 15 kg luggage. It is also close to the route to Kumano Hongu Taisha (Shrine) which may be a good choice for drivers visiting that shrine. The air conditioner is dial type. I mistakenly chose a smoking room, the smell is not heavy and can be neutralized with air purifier. However, the air purifier is not maintained properly.

We arrived by driving a car, so the location is less impact to us, there is 7-11 convenient store opposite to hotel, just 2 mins walk, very lovely.

Hotel justified for the price in Shingu”
There were not too many choices when I searched for hotels in Shingu. We picked this hotel since we arrived late upon check-in and needed to find a hotel with restaurants serving until late. However it was a bit far away from JR station and bus stop. On the other hand, it turned out to be a nice and relaxing walk when we walked to the station on the 2 days we stayed in Shingu. The hotel was good in general, the room was spacious but a bit old fashioned. Breakfast was simple but good with standard items like Japanese dishes, coffee and thick toasts.

Decent hotel in Shingu. ”
You don't have much a choice in Shingu but this hotel is quite good. Price is OK, breakfast is good, free parking, so quite happy. The Japanese room was huge (18 mats) but facilities are outside the room (quite common). Western rooms much smaller. Good stay

Although the hotel states it is newly renovated, but I found it is only partially new. Breakfast is good and fulfilling. Front desk staff are very friendly and helpful. The hotel is not the most conveniently located, but there is a Family Mart directly opposite, a few restaurants nearby, and a 24-hour Sugiya within walking distance.

Staff were fantastic, even when communication was hard because my japanese is non existent. Location is a little out of the way from the train station which was not ideal but not far from bus stop and convenience store across the road. Room was a decent size for Japan, although the bathroom is a little cramped. Thanks to the reception staff who recommended restaurants and helped me decipher the clothes dryer.

Avoid Japanese style family room”
The toilet and bathroom of the Japanese style family room is old and smells bad. Front desk staff super helpful especially the guy who speaks English well.

清潔、快適”
和歌山県東牟婁郡の総合庁舎のすぐ隣で、向かいにコンビニがあり、周辺には飲食店がたくさんありました。 客室はきれいに清掃されていて、寝具も快適でした。静かでぐっすり眠れました。 フロントロビーに新宮市内の散策マップが用意されていて、ホテルの貸し出し自転車でサイクリングに行ったとき、とても役に立ちました。自分は方向音痴で5分間くらい迷子になっていましたが… スタッフのみなさんはとても親切で、朝食も普通に良かった。自転車を用意してくれた女性スタッフの笑顔が可愛かった。 今度新宮に行ったらまた泊まりたいと思います。

綺麗なオーナーさん”
綺麗なオーナーさんです、GWからなのか着物を着ていました。 部屋のドアの開閉金属音が少し煩いかな、近隣部屋の人に気を使います。 特に加も不可もなくといった感じです。 朝から熊野古道を歩くためにココに泊まりました。新宮近辺ホテルが少ないので貴重な一般的なホテルだと思います。

ゴールデンウィークの土曜に利用いたしました。”
建物は古いが、清掃、サービス、心配りが行き届いており、空調がセントラルヒーティングで、温度調整か出来ず 不便さはあるものの、古い建物にありがちな臭いも無く、目の前がコンビニで、気分良く滞在できた。 敷地内の駐車場が混んでいて駐められなかったが、近くのコインパーキングの無料券を配布くださるなど、配慮が行き届いている。 無料朝食は文句無し！ レストランもコロナ対策バッチリでした。

熊野地方の巨石巡りに利用させて頂きました。いつもは登山だけが目的ですが、今回は巨石を見ながらの移動と登山で、とても満足でした。
