The Hotel has a great location…. But then that’s it. No towels, no amenities, pictures in the add are heavily exaggerated. Nor the rooms clean enough. But very spacious. The staff were friendly, but you had to ask 5 times before you got a response on any request. No 24/7 electricity. No Café, no bar, no restaurant, But who needs to eat in the hotel when all the places in 5 km radius serve amazing food. 2 out of 7 stars!

Beware differences in standards”

The Grand Beirut hotel is not a 4-star hotel by any stretch of the imagination. While it is cheap, we did not have any towels whatsoever, and we only had half a roll of toilet paper for a three-day stay between the both of us. While there is a nation-wide electricity shortage, the hotel did not appear to have any generators of its own, so expect no electricity and no internet for most of the day. One of the days there was no water at all, and the hotel did not seem willing to do anything about it (e.g., call a maintenance crew). The overall hygiene is woefully missing - there were huge spots of grease and mud on the furniture. Overall, the only saving grace is the location, but I would sincerely advise to pay a little more to any other hotel, and receive at least basic hospitality for your money.

Service and cleanliness”

No pillows and towel at all in the room upon checking in. I cant even reach out to the reception via the phone in the room cos its not working. So i had to physically come down to the reception to ask for the 2 items. Instead of delegating one of the staffs to send it to my room, the reception guy gave me the access card to another room to get the pillows myself. Due to the constant electric supply cut, the lift cannot be used and so i have to use the stairs. My room was on the 6th floor and the stairs was dark and filled with rubbish. No staff is available to give a helping hand with my luggage. Maybe the issue with this hotel is the shortage of staff. I can understand with the electric supply problem because its a National issue not the hotel's fault. But at least they should show more concern and attention to their guests.

BAD BAD BAD STAY”

The hotel license must be withdrawn and the building closed, no tourist standards at all, the room is dirty and the furniture is very old, even the sheets are used and dirty and when we asked the receptionist to change it he said ok but they did not replace it, there is no internal phone in the room when you need to talk to the receptionist you have to go down the stairs to talk to him and go up the stairs again, there is no restaurant, no swimming pool, no room service and no TV in the room, most of the time without electricity, unfortunately, it is not worth calling it a hotel

Don't !”

I'm not the type that write reviews but this time I have to ! The room was filthy ! The bathroom had mold ! There window was broken and it was cold ! I had to kill more than 20 cockroaches in one night ! My time in Beirut was amazing but this hotel ruined everything, I had to stay at my friend's place for most of my time before moving to another hotel ! I do not recommend it at all and if there is something lower than one star I would've given it !

The Grand disaster !!!”

Firstly: the electricity The electricity is cut 12 hours per day [ 12 pm until 5 pm] then [ 2 am until 9 or 10 am] and they didn’t inform me when I called to ask before I book or even mentioned that in Agoda’s details. Secondly: services •They mentioned that the breakfast was included, now they’re telling me that [our kitchen is closed] then I asked so why I paid for the breakfast? They told me [contact Agoda] •The Wi-Fi is not working 90% of the time even when the electricity is available it’s poor connection and I paid for the Wi-Fi too. •The water is cold and it’s winter. •There’s no Telephone in the room to contact the reception. •The elevator isn’t working of course when there’s no electricity and you can be in the 12th. •There’s no towels, slippers or hair dryer. Thirdly: the level of cleanliness I don’t know what to say about this Tbh the hotel is really disgusting this is the worst I saw in my life and I’m leaving the pics attached if I could. •The down floors [6 and below] are moquette and it’s full of dust so you smell it all over the hotel. •Beside the furniture is very very old and almost broke? •When I asked for a housekeeping they said [it’s not available now, wait until the morning]. •When they came the didn’t clean anything they only rearranged the bed [they didn’t even change the bed sheets]. •They don’t clean the bathroom either [they did it once, cause i asked them].

The hotel needs to be renovated, it is not suitable for Humans. No chance for a Human being to step a barefoot on the room floor. 1st I was given room 307 the bed was folded but I found an empty can of Rebull on the ground next to a used roll on deodorant . I was given another room 607, the window had no curtains + they didn't bother to remove the old ripped piece or what was left from the old curtain. Then I was given room 306, it shares the same condition as the 2 other rooms. I didn't bother myself and ask to change it.
