The lawn down the river was very beautiful!”

The view across the water meadow to the Cathedral was beautiful, pleasant walk to the Cathedral, relaxing atmosphere with big bathroom a large bed room. Would absolutely recommend this hotel and we will be back again.

Clean & Comfortable”

Room was clean and comfortable. Staff were pleasant and helpful. Buffet Breakfast was very good with wide selection of hot and cold food. We had room at front overlooking car park, etc.. Rooms at back had views of Garden, River and Cathedral. For one night it did not matter, but for a longer stay a rear room would be nicer.

good location but needs updating”

Good location as only a 10 minute walk to the cathedral. However we stayed on Saturday night and there was a wedding. There is only 1 bar so if you stay in for the evening you need to share the bar/lounge/patio area with wedding guests so no quiet area to slip away too. Beautiful setting by the river so thought we would go and sit by the river but apart from a small wooden gazebo there are no tables or chairs to sit...missing a trick there guys! This place is tired and in need of a little attention. Overpriced for what it was. Next time i will stay at the Rose and Crown round the corner.

Only stayed one night and it was fine. Hotel needs a bit of sprucing up but the bed was comfortable and the dinner and breakfast excellent. Thank you

Pleasant Stay”

Pleasant stay here, very good location for the walk into town & Cathedral. Disappointing breakfast however despite that would stay here again.

One night in Salisbury”

Apart from the Spanish receptionist who was excellent and professional all the other staff were very inexperienced and untrained. Hotel has a pleasant old fashioned feeling which is a total waste with the current staff who fail to understand how a hotel like this should be run. A great shame as it could be a very charming and lovely hotel. Employing Eastern European staff because they are cheap will not enhance the visitors experience, nor is it in keeping with the feel of a hotel like this.

Nice hotel but need improvement for the cleanliness ”

Given a room at ground floor. But the window could be opened from outside easily. Felt not safe as anyone could jumped from the nearby walkway into the room without difficulty. Asked to change room and was accommodated.

Dated facilities. ”

Pictures of the room booked shown in website is different from the one assigned. Mattress needs a change as its sunken at the sleeping area. Parking is convenient and ample.
