Great Location and service with a smile”
Satisfied.Expectations were met.We are looking for a not so expensive place to stay after a day of event in the Metro and we basically found one in Great Eastern Hotel Makati. Restaurants,Bars and ATMs are very accessible.Parking lot is safe with assigned security guard that made our stay in this hotel more relaxing,comfortable and peaceful. Amenities and features are also Good.I might just suggest to consider changing or limiting the air freshener used as its smell is immediately noticeable upon room entry.Try to use something milder.Reduce,Re-use,Recycle policy for linens and towels was also explained well.Generally,this hotel is recommendable.

It's the 2nd time my and I are staying at this hotel, and the experience was just as good as our first. The friendly staff at the reception were so kind as to upgraded our room with no extra charge. Our room was in a clean condition, with all facilities working very well and comfortable. The location of the hotel, along Makati Avenue, is also very centralized. Numerous fast food outlets, restaurants & convenience stores may be found nearby. Taxis can also be easily hailed. "Great Eastern" will surely be our hotel of choice each time we time we visit Manila.

we really enjoyed our stay at the great eastern hotel and will stay there again,just across the street there is a market, pizza, coffee shop and very good resturants, the hotel has a great feel about it and the cafe on the ground floor has great food and is always a bit diferent every day, its not a 5 star hotel, but prices are good and the rooms are comfortable, all rooms have hot shower, aircon and a fridge, overall location is excellent too as it wasnt to far from the mall of asia,the marine park,makati cbd and greenhills

I heard a lot of good things about Great Eastern Hotel (Aberdeen) so I was expecting a pleasant experience for this place. The hotel is located along the night life street of Makati so it would not be difficult to find something interesting and fun to do. Checking in was very quick, as I just presented my Agoda voucher and they already gave me a room. The people at the reception and all over the hotel were smiling and providing good customer service. Then I took the elevator and had a very nice view of the area as the elevator is made of clear glass allowing you to see what is outside. Being at the hallway to my room, you can feel how old the hotel is, with some sort of spookyness, maybe because of the dim lights which made the area feel too much enclosed. When I was in my room, it was not much, but cozy. I asked alot from the reception using the intercom and they were all very accommodating. They also made the swimming pool available for everyone. The swimming pool was shallow and not that big, but the water is clean and well maintained. I also liked the view from the pool, allowing you to see the night life happening on the streets and bar below. I had the pool for myself since i checked in at an off-peak date. The swimming pool is separated with see through glass from the fine dining area, which made me wonder, what if there are people occupying the dining area, would I still be allowed here? Anyway, the experience was pleasant, though I expected a little more glamour since the hotel has already established its name and considering that it is located at the classy night life of makati. (make sure to bring an internet dongle as internet is only available at the reception and not every room)

One of the best priced good hotels in Makati”
I love my stay each time in Great Eastern its a thousand pesos (and more) cheaper than its competitors, has great rooms with bathtubs and working showers in each room, carpeted rooms, good air conditioning, sound proof rooms - its really great and the price is even better. Very close to everything and just one jeepney or taxi ride to the Central business district and mall triangle of Makati. Room service is great as well as the food from the hotel's restaurants.

Located walking distance from the entertainment section of Makati. Nice restaurants,or fast food such as Shakeys, Wendy's, Jollibee, etc also walking distance. Great local restobar, Gilligans and also a grocery store right across the street. Decent breakfast buffet in hotel. Extremely nice front desk staff. Nice doormen and other staff as well. AC worked well. Reservations were handled with accuracy. I do not expect 5 star rooms at 2 star prices but the quality of this place is well above the rate scale. Good value. Will return for sure. Only possible complaint is noise from the boulevard or party rooms. But one rarely goes to Makati for peace and quiet. Free Wifi in lobby only but it connected and performed well.

Have stayed here many times when in Manila and it can't be beat! Hotel is a little old, but the location directly on Makati Avenue is prime. Everyone at the hotel is 1st rate and always ready to help. The rooms could use better carpet and the towels are VERY old and worn, but other than that, it is great. A hotel in downtown Makati for under $30 per night???? This is the place. Kerry

It is more improve than yesteryears stay”
It is with great pride that I enjoyed my stay at the Great Eastern Hotel recently. It is very accessible to all services life could offer. Walking distance to the Catholic Church, restaurants, shopping center and 24/7 stores. One of the highlights in staying in this hotel is just a stone throw from A.Venue mall that caters everything you wanted, from foods, to drinks, coffee shops and bars. Night life is also highly appreciated in this area. Unfortunately, the hotel charges for toothbrush and toothpaste at PHP47.00 or more than 1USD. To top it all, it was still a great night stay at this hotel and looking forward to get back anytime soon.

Nice hotel but average hotel service.”
Finding the hotel is a breeze as it is situated along Makati Avenue. At the reception area, we had to wait 10 minutes before actually checking in. We found out that our room wasn't ready yet. We thought it was OK to wait since their lobby was quite nice although we sort of wondered why the room has not been made up yet when we arrived at the hotel exactly 2 PM which was their check-in time. Anyway, when we went into our room, everything was in order and clean. We immediately checked the restroom and we were pleasantly surprised. It has an average sized bath tub with hot & cold shower. The designs of the room and bathroom were very nice as well. One negative thing though, we found ourselves with no towels to use. They forgot to put towels in our room. We had to request for these. Overall, you get the value for your money with Great Eastern Hotel. the experience was more than what we expected. Although the hotel staff can improve on their customer service. There were more than a couple of times when they were not able to respond to our requests immediately and we had to call their attention more than twice every time.

Comfortable room w an excellent location”
We were surprised at how clean and comfortable our Room was- especially at such a great price!! I would defo return. Makati is a great area- very safe W lots going on. I didn't find the noise was bad As it can be in other areas. The staff was helpful. No wifi in the rooms, only in the lobby but that's Minor. I would defo recommend this hotel to anyone!! The security comfort and location all make for a Great stay! Thanks

We checked in last September 9, 2017 to celebrate our post honeymoon.We love to go hotel hopping on weekends. We were a bit apprehensive to book because of the bad reviews. However our instincts told us otherwise. Upon check in we were happy to note that the lobby was clean and spacious. Front desk personnel very courteous and helpful..Our room had the best view of the commercial district. The bed was big and pillows were the usual homey fluffy ones. Bathroom amenities were sufficient. Bathtub was clean. Another thing we liked was the scenic elevator and the indoor pool. Though aircon in our room needed maintenance. We enjoyed our stay and would surely come back every time we are in Makati.

we were very enjoy that nights in great eastern hotel makati. it is near the city centre. we liked the the smile of the staff, they are very kindness. also, the facilities are very good, especially the bed is very comfortable and the bathroom with very pleasure hot water. we are also enjoy the breakfast.

it was o.k , i will rather say good. counter persons are good and receive people with smile and helpful as well as co-operative. but gymnasium on the 9th floor is worst of all the gymnasiums i have ever seen in any hotels, equipments are broken, no ventilation, in a tiny tiny room i hope gym loving people will not like it. if they fix the gym ,i beleive that hotel"great estern hotel makati" is worht staying with great prices.

Great Location and Affordable Hotel Room ”
great eastern has a very good location because it is along makati avenue where there are 24/7 stores, pharmacy, banks, money changer, and 24 hour restaurants. transportation is also very accessible, there are a lot of cabs even in the wee hours of the morning, or you may opt to ride a jeepney in the morning too. the hotel is affordable but the room looks old. even their suite room needs repainting. the tiles at the toilet looks unclean due to other permanent stains though in reality i can say it's clean enough. free wifi is only available at the hotel lobby. service is good but i pity the people who cleaned the room because he was using a broom (walis tingting) to clean the carpet. accdg to him the vacuum cleaner was broken. if you are looking for an affordable room where you can just stay overnight to sleep, booking a room at great eastern hotel is not bad.

This is the second time in two months that we have stayed at 'The Great Eastern Hotel' The staff are friendly and more than happy to help, both at reception and on the door. We ate in the reastuarant on a number of occasions and were very satisfied. I would recommend this hotel and consider it is really good value for money.

One of the best hotels in Makati Ave. ”
This is mu 3rd booking in this hotel and of course like other backpakers on a budget, i would always look for a hotel that is near to everything, and if you are looking for convenient yet budget friendly place to stay in, i would recomment The Great Eastern Hotel Makati. They rated this hotel as 1 star hotel so don't expect to much because the hotel exterior and interior is quite old and the elevator is always out-of-order so we need to excercise a little and use the stairs going to put room. The reception area can be found at the 4th floor, if its your first time, just ask the hotel guard outside to guide you. It is convenient because the hotel is fronting the Avenue Mall Makati Ave and there are a lot of restaurants around this area so don't worry about the food. If you are bringing a car, there is also enough parking space alotted for the hotel guests and its free of charge. Over all the place is okay and if you are on a budget you can try this hotel. This is also perfect for families travelling with their kids. :-)

it's my first time in this hotel, and for a solo traveller like me, it felt good that the hotel is easy to locate. i arrived two hours earlier than the check-in time but i got my room immediately and they didn't let me wait. the place is clean, comfortable and the staff are nice. i had a great stay and i will definitely stay in this hotel again when i go back to Makati.
