My husband and I travelled to Phan Thiet – Green Papaya last February. We stayed in a private villa on the beach. We really had a great time. The room was cozy and the general look of the resort is really pretty. The staff was really helpful and professional. Food at the restaurant was good – have you ever tried these Vietnamese soups? They are fantastic! Plus delicious desserts and organic dishes. I really recommend the place to those who is looking for a relaxing time.

Ideal spot away from the crowds”
Green Papaya is just a perfect place for rest and relaxation in the middle of a fishing village, away from the main touristic area of Mui Ne. The hosts, Alexey & Elena, have created, together with their staff, a home-like atmosphere and are very friendly and helpful when it comes to organizing your stay and giving advices regarding things to see/to do in the area. Green Papaya restaurant offers one of the best food i've tasted so far: fresh and original mix of european and asian cuisine, all made with local products (part of which are from the hotel's garden). Hotel "rooms" (villas) are all awesome and very spacious, and the beach is fantastic : quite and empty. All in all, Green Papaya is an ideal spot for spending some relaxed days / weeks in the South Viet Nam. Your experience will be even better if you rent a motorbike (offered by the hotel for $12 a day) and go explore the surroundings on your own.

after a few days in the cold mountains of sapa we moved to the south and it was phan thiet beach – green papaya! the beach was extremely quiet, with many things to do apart from just siting on the beach in the day and drink in the evening, so we booked a car !! we stayed in a villa and went to watch the lighthouse ke ga once which is like a place to visit in the area. nice stay, nice people.

Lovely small resort at a non-touristy location”
Lovely small resort quite far from Mui Ne in the north.Closest town is Phan Thiet. The taxi ride from Mui Ne cost around 5000,000. (We were worried that this village doesn't exist. Called but the call didn't go through.)Costs around 2000,000 to get to Phan Thiet. Food was really good. Music in the restaurant has a international vibe... Must be the young lady owner's selection. The Villa was clean, big,tropical,and comfortable. Could be better if the garden is bigger. The small section of the beach that the hotel has is nice. But if you walk further you will encounter trash from the local's homes nearby and other facilities. Well beach is only clean where no one lives. We went to the light house close to the village. Did not visit the sand dunes and the temple because they are too far up norht. Next time if I go there I would stay in touristy Mui Ne for a couple days to take advantage of the convenience there and then come here just to relax and enjoy the food. I would also rent a car so i can stop by the clean white beaches along the coast where no one lives.

Beautiful green place with intimate atmosphere”
When we were choosing this hotel we were surprise by very positive feedback - and now I can approve - everything positive is true. Green Papaya is located away from crowded Phan Thiet or Muine. You can enjoy silence and peaceful atmpsphere. We stayed at vila on the beach with view on the see. Bower was place for snack or afternoon nap, friendly and helpful service, special breakfast, nice and clean pool.

The bungalows are beutifully design by one of the owners. Food nicely served, especially the breakfast. Small friendly fishing village nearby with a few very smalll resturants where Phu soup for lunch was interesting and a good choice. The Green Papaya has a resturant as well but with european prices.The city Phan Thiet is a 10 dollar taxidrive away. Interesting and with alot to discover. We recomend the market. The hotel offers the possibility to see films on their cinema above the resturant. What the Green Papaya didnt offer was knowledge and information about the area, maps, recomendations of what to see and do in the area. They seemed rather uninterested of Vietnam in general.

i could think of a lot of one word reviews for this great villa - tranquil, blissful, peaceful, idyllic, relaxing, rejuvenating...... but the one that best sums it up for me is 'perfect'. went there to work in a good climate and conditions – well, i had it! waves, sand, sky and organic food just added to my working mode. the villa i chose was big but we got it just for 90 usd – while regular price is 160$. normally people make you overpay but this one was an exception. really, nice staff works there.

Phan Thiet is the perfect vacation destination. I listened to my friends and took my family to papaya resort. It’s right on the beach offering beautiful rooms, great food and nice massage with a sea view. You wake up and take everyone swimming coz it’s right there. No noisy tourists and no traffic - a real village. Kids loved playing with the local ones. My wife and I think it’s the best choice for those who want to just relax and refresh.

We arrived in Green Papaya all stressed out because the road from HCM took almost 4 hours. but the hotel changed our feelings completely. When you wake up in the middle of beautiful garden, coconut trees, beautiful sea. All at this hotel has been created the way you feel one by one with real tropical nature. We enjoyed our villa – it offers privacy, spacious rooms, and feeling of home. Our thanks to the chef cook, food is great!.We did not want to go way too far on different tours, but the surrounding areas offer something unique like the Ke Ga lighthouse and Ta Ku mountain. But the beach is the main thing – and it is gorgeous.

When we arrived at Green Papaya I first thought we should have chosen a different hotel (it seemed kind of in the middle of nowhere), but then I realized all the advantages. You get great food and attentive service without noise of big resorts. Normally villas on the beach cost more, but here you enjoy the privacy and great views paying less. the location is close to all the main attractions. We enjoyed the hot springs in Binh Chao, Kega Light house was great! Taku mountain was a great walk in the mountains, but I am not big fan of Pagodas and religion, so it was ok!The village around the resort is untouched with tourism and makes great surrounding.

This resort is very far from the tourist strip of Mue Ne, and is very quiet and secluded. I was traveling with my two adult children, and we were amazed at how beautiful and quiet this location was. The villa was very large with two separate living areas, and a huge front porch overlooking the sea past a pretty picket fence. Adjacent to this is a gazebo with several hammocks (and a power strip nearby if you feel like working on your laptop while lounging in the hammock). You will not see many tourists on the beach unless you walk at least a mile in either direction. We were able to get up early, go for long beach walks, as well as swim in the ocean. The pool is sparkly clear and clean, and large enough to swim laps. I was the only one in the pool the entire time we were there! The staff here is very attentive, and the entire environment is well maintained and very clean. The restaurant is amazing- they bring in local produce from their own organic garden off site, and it is truly phenomenal! I cannot recommend this place enough... was truly a relaxing time

the best we liked in Green Papaya is location. We stayed around real Vietnamese village. I was waken up in the morning by singing roosters )). Local kids were playing behind the fence. Place is very quiet and good for family. Beach is clean and streches miles in both directions. Running in the morning on the beach was just great. Staff in Green Papaya is friendly and treated us like family - not just guests. Food was fresh and healthy with variety of different souses made of local fruits and vegetables. I would definitely recommend to try the pumpkin soup and many of their fresh smoothies. Prices are just reasonable. PS we had a perfect dinner just infront of the sea, with fresh sea food and vegetables cooked for us on barbecue. definitely try it!

We loved our stay at the Villas. The decoration of the rooms and the resort is so beautiful and done with such great taste. The scenery, greenery, pools and the vicinity of the beach adds such value to the pretty interior of the villas/rooms. And then the food...we didn't eat anywhere else because we fell in love with the food :). Wide choice of domestic and international recipes prepared deliciously (would it be weird to say we had our best pizza ever in Vietnam ;)). If all this isn't enough, the warm staff and vibrant hosts make your stay just awesome. If you didn't come just to relax, a motorcycle ride around the region with the tourist spots such as the lighthouse from 1898, Sleeping Buddha on the mountain, Dragon Fruit farms and other things give you some additional activities besides swimming and drinking fabulous cocktails all day. I just loved the place. Will definitely come back again!!!

Extremely friendly hotel, great view, great organic food. We enjoyed every minute there. Strongly recommended for all types of travelers. The sea is crystal clear and I am sure that you can see your feet. It will be a lot better if the hotel can arrange snorkeling for guests (guests have to contact a travel agent for the service but the price is too high)

We traveled as a couple and hired a VIP Villa. Excellent quality building, clean pool and rooms, especially the bathrooms with welcome music in the Villa. The food was good as well. The rooms were spacious, including a theatre (this one is a huge plus) Need to consider the minor issues, such as a few garbage on the beach in the afternoon. Overall, great experience with a reasonable price.

If you're looking for a break from the crowd, then this hotel will provide you with the retreat. The hotel is under new management and they treated us very well during our stay. I believe they are going to make some improvements, which is always a good thing. The only downside is its distance from Mui Ne sand dunes. But if you have a couple of days to spare in Phan Thiet then that shouldn't be much of a problem.

This is the most recent trip my boyfriend and I went on. Pros: - A very relaxing and quiet place for anyone wants to escape from the busy city vibes - Super attentive staff. I'd say this is the best impression of Green Organic Villas Cons: - Again, it's kinda remote if you'd like to travel to the Phan Thiet city center (More than 15km). On the way, there are lots of parts don't have the street lights in the evening. It's dangerous if you consider being adventurous on a scooter. - Furniture is old and doesn't look fresh and new as in the photos. Floor isn't clean enough to walk on bare feet. There is a big stain on the white laundry bag, along with a few leaves. - When my boyfriend and I decided to get some sunshine on the beach, there were two dogs (which we guess from local houses) appeared. They came close to us and started barking. We were very panic but managed to keep calm and walk back to the resort area. The dogs kept aggressively barking and following us until we got in.

check in was fast. bright and well maintained rooms, very clean. area outside hotel is lovely, big swimming pool, nice gardens. amazing beach completely empty with not a single kite-surfer in the sky. this place has amazing restaurant with organic food. all the herbs they grow are going directly from bush to the dish. perfect vacation, full of healthy sleep, reading books by the pool and dinners with wine.

i stayed on the beach on my way back home. good thing about this place was food. something you don't expect to get in a small resorts. different fruit souses and mixture of tastes that reminds asian and western food simultaneously. pumpkin pasta with asian rosmarin from garden was really good. accomodation and villa - no complains. clean and big house. it was fun to live in vietnamese style villa. staff is shy, but understand english better then in many places in vietnam. i felt my self like guest - not just room rental.
