Not too bad or not too good. average clean hotel and best for budget trip. staff were the best here as they can help you even with language barrier. location is safe to walk specially at night and not far from the city.

Kazakh staff, particularly the young woman at check-in, were not exactly friendly or helpful. I had prepaid and despite explanations in English, Russian, and Kazakh she did not seem convinced. The room was on the small side, but perfectly fine, one of the strangest shower/toilet arrangements I have ever encountered, and the hot water wasn't exactly working. Breakfast staff and check-out were much more amiable, overall a good experience, not the best, but certainly not the worst.
