Best hotels & accommodations in Okinawa Main island

Stayed here for 4 days during my trip to Okinawa, location is a good base to explore the island. Walking distance to main shopping street with lots of food options nearby. Studio is a good size, with all amenities provided incl washer and dryer. However, parking is chargeable at 1200/day

Guest House Umikaji is conveniently located near the Prefecture Monorial Station, RyuBo Shopping Centre and Kokusai Street. Monorail ticket is Yen 260 from Naha Airport, only seven stations away. Suggest check-in time to bring forward to 2pm from current 3pm. Otherwise, Guests can stay/rest in the reception lounge/dining room, surf internet on the two internet termin...

This is not a hotel or guesthouse. It's like renting an apartment by email or telephone. Since there are no staffs around to guide and the place is hard to locate, you need quite some experiences at traveling to even get in there. However the apartment is excellent just likes in those pictures. This one's either good for a family, or reasonable prices for 4 peoples wh...

It was my first time in Okinawa and I travelled alone. I stayed here for 6 nights straight and it’s totally worth my money. Only few steps from Makshi monorail station and several nice bars nearby that I discovered just by wandering around. The staffs are nice and good in communicating. Interior designs suits my taste. The rooms are not sound proof so you will hear eve...

This guest house has been there for many years, but the room is very clean, and facilities like new. The owners speak simple English, and were very kind to let me check in one hour early. I didn't expect to enjoy sleeping on the tatami, but the floor cushion made it comfortable enough. The only problem was the noise from my fellow guests on the same floor, but I can't...

Overall, I had a great experience. There was a typhoon in Okinawa, and I emailed the guest house to see if I could move my reservation back one day. They responded in English within a couple hours in the affirmative, which was wonderful! The only problem was when I arrived, it was really hard to find the guest house. It is kind of in a small alleyway, and it looks like...

Staffs are very nice and kind, I love them. The living room is warm and Okinawa Style. It nears the Yui-Rail Station. We even cook for ourselves in the hostel with fresh ingredients brought in a cheap supermarket nearby. We walk to国际通 everyday. I will definitely go to Sora House the next time.

As its name, it's homelike experience and it is also very convenient for walking from the monorail station and the bus terminal! I did appreciate the concern and help from the host when I caught a flu! I would like to visit it again next time when I plan to visit Okinawa!

CamCam is located at a very convenient place, near to monorail station, Lowson, Union, and many restaurants. The dormitory is comfortable, clean bed with 24 hr air condition. The living room is full with people at night, it is good to chat with another traveler and meet new friends. I'll still chose CamCam next time I travel to Okinawa~

I really enjoyed my stay here at the Asian Guest House Border Nago. You WILL need a car to get to this location and keen eyes. The house is located up in the northern part of the main island of Okinawa. The owner is a great and interesting guy, please take your time to talk with him. I stayed in the dormitory area which he built, by himself, on the side of the house. I...

At frist ,we were quite disappointed that this is not a hotel but a small guest house. The owner and the Italian staff was so kind to us.Other facilities are nice and clean. We have to share bath room and toilet together with other guests. (Bad luck for us that we stayed with other Chinese guests. If you know what I mean)

ISA the host is such a nice guy! He sand me days before told me the area is blackout case the typhoon land to Okinawa. But I still need to visit Okinawa so I didn’t change my mind. I a, so glad I did that! The best hostel I stay in Okinawa, I love it in personal memories. The night is blackout, actually I need to walk 30min from the aquarium, ( because I am not driving...

location is lovely, quiet but not too far from the naha city, facing a nice river and bridge, have convenient store and park and restaurant within 15 minutes on foot. the boss is quite nice, the automosphere there is easy and warm, like at home, you can cook in the kitchen. there's piano and guita in the living room, seems the boss is a music lover. and okinawa instru...

Great value .Cooking facilities.Good location-walking distance to Miebashi Monorail and Makishi Market.Great supermarket and eating places nearby. Good Wifi and washing machine for nominal fee. The mattress and pillow very comfortable. The curtains round the bed provide privacy- feels almost like in a single bed room. Kiyoshi San keeps the place very clean. Kiyoshi San ...

The owner of this guesthouse is very nice. They also got the mini shop in their kitchen. It is convenience for us. Also have a beautiful beach near this guesthouse. And it is free for parking!!!! If I have a chance to visit Okinawa again, I will book this guesthouse again!

The guest house is a small and cosy place like home. It is close to the coast and the surroundings is very dark and quiet at night, you can hear insects' sound and see the twinkling stars. In the guest house, everything is clean and tidy. The host Manabu is very kind, he remind me that I forgot to turn off my car light, and he introduced a delicious Japanese restaurant...

The Hostel owner is a great guy and he speaks English well enough for some nice conversations. The place was built by himself and you can see it is not professional done BUT it is still very good for the price. He even asked me if I need an extra futon so that the bed gets softer but there were two already and it was good enough for me. There was free caffee and h...

I stayed there for only one night, but the experience was wonderful. The owner is really friendly and kind! She has good relationship with other nice local people. So I could enjoy also outside guesthouse. Thanks of her, I enjoyed dinner in a cozy restaurant, watched the sky full of stars near beach at night and did yoga in the early morning on the quiet local beach. I...

I am very lucky to have chosen Nangoku Booya as my friends' abide is full and turbed out I lived way better than they do. Booya is a wonderful cottage with all the facilities you need plus the charm and inspiration which you can write a novel at. The amenities are complete, clean and chic. But the most beautiful part are the hosts Baba-san and Ueka-san, who is most won...

Host was nice to send an email to check what time I would arrive but didn’t respond to my enquiry whether I could leave my luggage there before check-in time. She and her staff/colleague seemed nice though. Contrary to the info indicated under “available in all rooms”, WiFi was free but AC was chargeable (100yen for 120mins, I think) and there was no more water at the...

I loved my stay here. I took a bus from the airport to Motobu resort and walked for about ten minutes. It is very close to Bise forest street where I longed to take a bike ride. It's close to beach and the beach is crystal clear with not many people around. At night,on the rooftop you can see great night sky with many shooting stars. Breakfast and coffee is wonderf...

It's a good spot to get around the north of Okinawa. Near the Aquarian and Sesoko island. You can do all water sports there with white sand beach. Guest house's owner is a nice guy! Even he can't speak english, but he with his whole patient to understand you. It's a clean and quiet place if you are looking for. I'm sure you'll sleep like baby. :)

Kourijima Guest House was great! The staff was friendly and had a lot of advice for where to get great photos. They were excited to talk with us. The only problem we had wasn't related to the guesthouse at all, somehow Agoda didn't notify them that we were coming so when we arrived, they were out.

I stayed in the female dorm room and it was a disaster! Apparently one of the women is living there long term (a year +) and there were clothes, cosmetics, boxes, and suitcases everywhere. The place was a mess beyond words. There was no spot to put my luggage (an no place to lock anything up) and as a result some of it had to stay on the bed with me. It was very diffic...

The guest house is in a quiet and secluded location on Sesoko Island. To find the place on Google Map, you have to use its Japanese name (ゲストハウス かふぅ村). There is a small parking area (space for 4-5 cars) outside the guest house. From the outside, the guest house looks like it is assembled from several cargo containers. But the interior is interesting and cosy. The comm...

I booked a single room, I was given a studio in a separate building, which was really good for the price. The main building itself though seemed a bit out there; when I stepped in I didn't see anybody, just a room with a table and a lot of stuff stashed here and there, luckily I had a friend who could call the guy who came promptly. For what I got it was great, but if ...

the reason i choose this hotel is mainly because of the price. it is not in the city center but its ok if you have already a car. there is no elevater for this building, the hotel is located at 2/f. i think this hotel can satisfy your basic need. toilet and bathing are in share basic. however, what i like most is the room is in japanese style which means u need to slee...

Musty room, really humid floor and the a/c had a musty smell (it needs to be cleaned/disinfected). There's just 1 shower for everybody in the hotel to share, so sometimes you need to wait. Nice staff and convenient location. But overall, you can find other places that don't charge extra for A/C (100 yen for 4 hours a/c running time) and are a little nicer.

My wife and I chose to stay here because we wanted a cheap, safe, and comfortable place to stay for the holidays. This place provided all three. This is a guesthouse and similar to being a guest in someones home, so don't expect full service hotel staff. This gave my wife and I real feeling of living in Japanese home. These are private rooms, not a hostile, but it is a...

The only negative thing was finding the hotel, but that's not the hotel's fault, Japan still has to learn that having street names and house numbers is a good way to find your way around. The room was clean, the decor very cute and it was a very peaceful area. Now that I know where it is, I will visit this hotel again.
