We loved our stay here, and actually came back for a second stay when we returned to Almaty. The hosts are very friendly and helpful -- really went above and beyond helping us get a SIM card and providing airport transfers. Breakfasts were generous, interesting and tasty. The rooms are a great size and in good condition. We enjoyed being in a residential area to get to know Almaty life but still being walking distance to attractions and facilities. The closest street (3 min walk) has several places to eat and couple of mini-marts. Thanks again to Vladimir and family!

Good stay for a couple of days”
This guest house is wonderful, particularly the owner. Although he doesn't speak in English, he will try his best to communicate with you. His son, Alexander speaks good English. If you like to walk, this guest house is not too far away from the cable car station to Tok-Kobe, and Republic Square. I had no problem walking to the park where Zenkov is located. If you can get to Zenkov, thenyou are not too far away from the green market and the mosque. KFC and Hardees are both near Zenkov as well.

Excellent in terms of the owner attitude & room”
Merits: I'd stayed there for 4 nights with my friend - Super value for money for the room - it's a suite with a big sitting room, bedroom & balcony, at a low price. The breakfast was prepared well, fresh & virtually made immediately, by the owner. The owner even drove me here and there to find postcards and post office when he saw I eagerly wanted to post ones before leaving Almaty! For free of course! Let alone he picked us up from the airport and sent us to the airport at the times we specified for free. Demerits: Location was far away from the city centre, and quiet during the night. The owner only spoke very limited English, or even Kazakh! (He is a Russian.)

Great Guest House”
I spent one afternoon and night in Almaty on a layover from a flight from Hong Kong heading to Amsterdam. It turned out to be a very interesting small trip in Almaty, which was also due to the very nice 'Guest House on Sadovaya'. The owners were very friendly and Enlgish was not a problem. The free pick-up service from and to the airport was very convenient. The room with balcony was huge and clean.The location was very convenient; from the Guesthouse I walked to the Zemkov Cathedral, which was really impressive, in about 20 minutes, and from there I walked to several other locations in Almaty. All in all I believe this to be the best place to stay in Almaty.

Wonderful place to stay”
I stayed at this guest house for 3 nights. Very spacious, free airport pick-up/drop-off service, nice home-made breakfast, etc. It's in residential area but close to Hotel Kazakhstan, cross the street from which you can take the bus to Symbulak (about 30 min). If I go back to Almaty, I would definitely stay here again!
