Highly recommended for solo travellers ”
The location is near Kagoshima-chuo station so it is really convenient for any train/shinkansen connections. There's also a tram station 2 min walk away where you can take the tram to other major attractions in Kagoshima. The staff were really nice and helpful - even though the check in time was till 7pm, they waited for me cos I couldn't catch an earlier shinkansen. The toilet and showers were clean and the futon in the tatami room was comfortable.

The location is close to Shinkansen station. It is a combination of cafe and guesthouse. Rooms are perfectly clean. I also received a ticket for a free coffee. Staff are nice and reliable.

Great Japanese style dorm”
Loved the Japanese style dorm, the wood, & the scent of tatami (some might not like it). It was just me that evening, so I had it all to myself. Super clean, enjoyed the shower & dining room. I like that the women's area's sectioned off. Only issue was the karaoke bar nearby wasn't soundproof, so I could hear echoes of it till 1am. That aside, super comfy bed & space, great value.

Good luck getting sleep. The guesthouse is located right next to karaoke and it feels like they are singing standing next to your bed. The noises from the kitchen and shower area are also very noticeable so if your fellow travelers watch tv late at night you will too.. The guesthouse is one of the kind that’s only operated for money. The staff was cold and unfriendly and seemed to not want to interact with guest as much as possible. Lockers are too small to but a bag in, room was stuffy and small. If it would be cheap I wouldn’t mind but one can get a business hotel breakfast included for the same price.

Yes, no towels. This is the most soulless place ever, and not because of the towels. It's like sleeping in a bunk bed stashed in someone's abandoned office. There's no backstop for the lower bunks either, so kiss your pillows goodbye.

Staff that were so polite and so friendly. A complementary coffee each day. Decent cafe downstairs. Late check-in and you need to go out each day during the day for room cleaning. Dorm room had four beds, other occupants seemed to arrive late and leave early so ok for resting. Was for me on the more expensive end of dorm price range during my stay in Japan.

今回、初めて宿泊しました。 キッチンがある❗ と思い、勝手に食材を揃えて宿泊先に着いた時に聞いたら、 火は使えません！ もし、今後可能であれば IHタイプでも良いので、調理出来るようになれば更に更に嬉しいです。

鹿児島駅から歩いて数分の立地。1階はカフェ、２階が宿泊場所。ドミトリー内の面積も割とゆったりして、プラスチック収納ボックスの鍵付きの大きなセイフティーボックスもある。共用スペースでは、電子レンジと炊飯器、電気ポットと冷蔵庫に食器類で、火を使った自炊はできないが、市の中心部なので、それも可。スタッフの対応もよし。ただし、初日のチェックインは、カフェの営業時間中に行わないと、建物への入り方等の説明があるため注意が必要です。
