Possibly the worst hotel in Maasin and who don't honour bookings. Be warned! ”
When arrived was offered a sub standard room which was NOT what I booked online. Room was tiny and toilet facilities basic and it was the worst experience of a hotel so far in the Philippines. Staff were obstructive and unhelpful, even though I'd travelled a large distance to be there. I wouldn't recommend this to an enemy let alone any friend. My advice is to steer well clear of GV in Maasin!

I found a camp member of staff to be unnecessarily condescending. No hot water. For most of the time the Wifi was ok in the room. The hotel is in decent location in the centre of town.

If you are looking for an affordable accommodations this one is okay. Just don't expect too much. Bring your own bottle water also, although you can buy from them but it's vheaper to buy at a grocery story.. this one is just on the main road. So easy to locate.

I like the provision of early check in during our stay since we arrived early from Cebu. Although I mistakenly choice basic room which means electric fan only but I upgraded it at minimal cost.

The GV Maasin is a SAFE nice economy Hotel for budget minded travellers. It has real matress, not foam and your rest is incredible. They let you extend stays just by rebooking through Agoda. Its clean, no critters and very private undisturbing. I definitely recommend the GV to anyone who needs a quiet rest.

Better then expected ”
I booked 2 rooms with aircon - standard Matrimonial. In lobby there was some confusion, but by the end we manage to get our rooms. We got rooms in 2nd and 3rd floor. 2nd floor room was high and near window there was decent connection - I was able to to work (remotely work) using pldt prepaid wifi (speed near window from 10-40Mbps,unfortunately not stable stable connection was around 11pm up until morning, earlier for video calls, using vpns was not so good, but managable). Hotel Wifi - well don't expect much). On 3rd floor room - poor signal so hard to work there (especially when room there was far from window to street). Rooms were clean and not so bad especially for the price.

The place is so great and has very nice access to shops, supermarkets, pharmacy, department stores, kitchenettes and etc.. If only the generator was working when we were there, facilities could have been a 5 star. We will for sure be back, 👍☺️

no air-con”
i have stayed at gv hotels many times before this one,,,,but this time they booked a room without air-con,,i asked them why and they told me that the room i got was a promo room and did not include air--con,,i told him all my rooms before was air--con and this is the first time that this has happened,,he checked my reservation,it did not say antthing about air--con,,nor did it say that it was not included,,anyway i had no choice but to pay axtra for air air con, room,,,,i had no choice,,so i hope in the future they ,,the booking agent and the hotel resolve the issue,,,,,carl whisler
