Mitsui Garden Hotel Ginza gochome
Ginza,Tokyo - View on map
"Really nice hotel that is a little away from the busy Ginza area but close enough to get to the main shopping areas. Subway just across the road and if you are taking the limo bus services from airport, the Marriott courtyard stop is just a few hundred metres away. Plenty of food around with a nice little noodle/rice place just next to it. Breakfast was great with a choice of sushi/japanese/western set. Stayed in the moderate deluxe with two twin beds which are big enough to sleep 2 adults and 2 kids under 7. Only downside is that they don't offer concierge services so you will need to take your luggages to your room on your own. Which was a bit of a hassle as we travelled with two young kids which luggage and strollers. Definitely will stay here again if in Tokyo. "

Palace Hotel Tokyo
Tokyo Station,Tokyo - View on map
"This is a wonderful five star hotel located across from the Imperial Palace, close to Tokyo station, and near several underground arcades (malls) full on wonderful retail shops and eating places. It is also in the heart of the business section. The rooms are large, comfortable, and contain every conceivable need for a pleasant, relaxing stay. The staff is excellent, often anticipating our needs before we said anything and willing to accommodate every need. I had one small business concern getting a document to be signed, scanned, and emailed, which was accomplished for me without charge and expeditiously. This request, and every one we made, was completed graciously and then followed up on the next day to make sure it had been satisfied. Only issue was that we were unable to get reservations at the restaurants and the room service menu was rather sparse. We like to dine late in the Italian style, but apparently here and everywhere in Japan that is not the custom. Most restaurants close at 10 pm. But I would not consider staying anywhere else in Tokyo. The Palace is a great hotel. If I worked in Tokyo I would want to live there."

Hotel Metropolitan Tokyo Ikebukuro
Ikebukuro,Tokyo - View on map
"This is my fave hotel in Tokyo located in a very busy section of Tokyo called ikebukuro. although the room is quite small and the design is a bit outdated but it is very clean and the staff service is superb. The staff helps to receive and keep my japan wireless package safely until i arrived and they even helped me to post back the package after i checked out. Dont worry if you overshop as the concierge provides post service to send your stuff back to your country at a reasonable free. They even sell various sizes of shipping boxes at an extremely cheap price and they even let you use their scotch tape for free. Metro station is location right at the back of the hotel in the Lumine building, mojor departments store such as TOBU, SEIBU and PARCO are just a few steps away from this hotel. Convenience stores are just right by the corner. I will be back for sure. Thanks "

Mitsui Garden Hotel Jingugaien Tokyo Premier

"A newly built hotel with top notch amenities & services. Staff are really helpful with good English. With the price you pay, even the moderate type room, you’ll get quite spacious room with a balcony & great view– a luxury you rarely find in Tokyo. They have their own park & really nice area surround it, pretty quiet at night, but if you’re the type of tourist who loves tranquility, this is the place. And also you'll find Tokyo New National Stadium - a landmark for Tokyo Olympic 2020 in front of the hotel. 1 min walk to Kokuritsu-Kyogijo st. (next to the hotel), 7 min walk to JR Sendagaya st. (also the nearest convenience store). They also have vending machine (snacks & drinks) in some of the floors, in case you wanna grab snacks or cold drinks at night. Definitely will stay again in this hotel. "

The Royal Park Hotel Iconic Tokyo Shiodome
Ginza,Tokyo - View on map
"We booked the Tower Suites Double. Not sure if it was included but just not mentioned on the booking or if we were upgraded, but we got a room on the 38th (premium) floor with a view of a park and Tsukiji market, and daily breakfast for two. Here's a quick summary of our excellent stay at The Shiodome RPH: Location: the hotel is conveniently located close to the Shimbashi station. However, for those not used to living/staying in a large metropolis, although the hotel is connected to the station, it may still take 10-15 minutes to walk to a certain subway line as the stations have many exits and are well connected underground. In addition to train/subway, there is always a taxi standing by outside the hotel and the valet is very helpful. There is also airport shuttle to and from Haneda and Narita airports. Facilities: the hotel has a spa and a gym, although I did not use either. There are several restaurants on-site. For the daily breakfast there are three options: Western buffet, Chinese buffet, and Japanese. We ended up going to only the Western and Chinese buffet, both are small but have delicious food. There is also a 24-hour Family Mart convenience store downstairs, which provided several yummy late night snack/drink options. We also quite enjoyed the iced and hot coffee available in the vending machine on our floor. Room: My biggest concern with booking a hotel in Tokyo is with the size of the room and the size of the bed, as I have read many reviews in the past that mentioned Tokyo hotel rooms are small. Our room is not the case - we have a HUGE (King+ size) bed, and the room still has a small seating area and desk. Overall I was very satisfied with the size of the bed and the size of the room. The premium floor rooms also offer high ceilings, which is a plus. Room is very clean and comfortable. Amenities/Others: There is a capsule coffee machine in the room and mini bar. Of course, there is a nice toilet in the hotel (specialty of Japan). But I LOVE the"

Conrad Tokyo
Ginza,Tokyo - View on map
"Stayed in the Conrad, Tokyo, from 20 - 24 August 2011 whilst on a business trip. It's about an hour coach (Airport Limousine Coach @ 3000 yen per person 1-way) ride away from Narita Airport. The hotel lobby is located on the 28th floor and checking-in was smooth and efficient. I was allocated a room on the 33rd floor and when I entered the room, I was blown away. The 'WOW!' factor shot through the scale. Large, comfortable room with full length windows overlooking Shiodome. A long sofa, bathtub with a rubber duckie, standing shower, toilet, king sized bed.. it was, to me, more than what a business traveller could have asked for. The hotel's signature restaurant is Gordon Ramsey's, so that speaks volumes of how good this hotel is. Naturally, for a hotel of such stature and the level of service provided, the cost of staying there is quite high. For 4 nights, I paid close to SGD2,500.00; which I think is worth every cent. Accessibility is convenient and cheap too as the Shiodome and Shimbashi stations are all within walking distance where you can take the sub-way to touristy places like Shibuya, Shinjuku, Ginza, Roppongi, Harajuku or even hop on to the JR Express to the airports (Narita or Haneda). If I am travelling again to Japan, Conrad would be my choice of hotel stay!"
