"Fab hotel, extremely clean, nice friendly staff, great location. Hotel lovely inside, rooms pretty cool but not a luxury experience. No food or drinks were available when we arrived from a night out at around 12, vending machine was available but not a great selection. Overall great little hotel and fab price. "

"We love staying at the Mode Edinburgh. Fantastic location in New Town - Quiet yet very near all the sights, restaurants and shopping. The hotel facilities are tip-top and the room is immaculate. Lots of nice touches in the room that make it feel like home. The staff were very helpful and friendly. After 3 days in the Highlands, when we came back to Mode Edinburgh again, it was like coming home. Of all the hotels we stayed in during our holiday in UK, Mode Edinburgh is the best!"

"We extended our stay after realizing that the hotel is also very convenient for us from a business trip perspective. There are multiple places with good electric outlets for all our devices and they are conveniently located within the room. There is also an iron and ironing board handy, as well as a strong hair dryer. It is worth noting that it is an apartment hotel, so you will only get the room cleaned or refreshed every 3 days unlike - and we had to ask for more toiletries (ie shampoo/shower gel). The coffee shop downstairs have a great pastries and coffee but rate will not have breakfast. Neither is an issue for us. Location wise, it's in new town and edge of old town so it was so easy to walk around town. Not that we go to Edinburgh often but I will definitely return to Eden Locke if I come back to Edinburgh again - hopefully during Fringe Festival."

"I'm not a person to be effusive but this is the best hotel I've ever stayed in. Everything was perfect and I cannot think of anything that spoiled it. It made for a beautiful Christmas for us. Every member of staff was so professional and friendly; every piece of decor oozed class; the food was incredible. We loved the toy owl and accompanying picture book as a present for our little girl - we loved the Santa stocking hanging on our door, too. I couldn't thank the staff enough and we will definitely return."

"The George hotel delivered on so many fronts! - Great location in the heart of new town but very managable (and enjoyable) walk to old town; we walked everywhere except the Britania yacht. It is also great for access to amazing restaurants and cafes - newly renovated room and bathroom a definite plus - very helpful staff with most of them being very friendly as well. A couple of watchouts for you to consider. None of them were deal breakers for us 1. Rooms in the old building have no AC. We did not mind as it was not needed at night and we were out most of the day but the one day when we went back to the hotel at 3 pm, we could not stay in the room. If you are traveling during a warm season, ask for an airconditioned room. 2. Some of our towels were frayed and one even had a hole. Very clean but lierally showing wear and tare. Would definitely expect more from such a facility. If we are ever in Edinburgh again, would definitely stay there. "

"Stayed in this hotel for the 2nd time. the location is great. i would say in between the old town and new town. Train station is also within 10-15min walk. Love it. "
