"Modest but adequate room size. More plug sockets than I've ever seen in a hotel room before - the whole family could charge phones, tablets, computers and cameras and still have a socket to use the tea and coffee making facilities! Good cooked breakfast. Easy check-in and out. Staffing was sparse as you'd expect in a budget location but they were responsive, helpful and polite. Would use it again if driving to/from Scotland or flying from Newcastle airport. Good parking for car within barrier protected site. Could leave car while on holiday at reasonable price."

"This is our second visit to the hotel this year. We usually stay in Newcastle but found parking easy and free at this hotel and a bus stop outside for easy access into the city. The room was clean and had good facilities. The staff were very helpful and friendly. Gloria SW France"

"Recently stayed at the Doubletree at Newcastle Airport, found it to be an excellent hotel, and very reasonably priced. Reception staff were very pleasant, and plenty of parking available on site. The King room was very comfortable, and we had a very good nights sleep. The buffet breakfast was also very good, a lot better than those I've had at other hotels, and the staff are very attentive. Free Wi-Fi in the room was also a pleasant bonus. Overall we had a very pleasant experience, highly recommended and will be using again when back in Newcastle (also very handy for the airport which is less than a minutes walk across the car park) "

"Visited Village Hotel Newcastle again as we were so impressed the first time. The staff are lovely and very helpful and always at hand day or night. The rooms are always very clean and tidy and very comfortable. Enjoyed the breakfast every day and would recommend to other travellers without hesitation. Only one bug bear, could we just have a kettle and some coffee rather than the complicated coffee machines?"
