The hotel is in a very good location, 1 min walk to train station and surrounded by many eatery, Dondon quijote is just next to the hotel. Room : Small nice room that serve its purposes. Breakfast : However, breakfast is a bit boring, very limited choices on the main (only 3 main to choose).

The hotel is new and clean, hotel crew is polite, everything is great except the washing machine on the 4/F floor. It takes a long time to dry clothes so don't bother using it.

Loved every part of Sotetsu Grand Fresa Hotel! Location: Just 1 min from Takadanobaba station, and I rather liked this kind of “small stations” instead big ones like Shinjuku because it is easier to navigate and figure out the metro lines and exits (especially if you are new to Tokyo like me). Facilities and cleanliness: The hotel is new and clean! Love it! Guests can pick up amenities like small packs of moisturising lotion, face masks, etc., which is super useful as the weather is so dry in the winter! They even provide a comparison chart about the flavours of teas offered. There is vending machines of drinks, ice machine, microwave, washing machine on 4/F which is convenient. Room: (Expected city hotels in Japan to be small, I think one reason is they insist to have a bathtub in the bathroom, leaving little space for the corridorsClean, modern simple design, comfortable beds.

Train station and shopping mall are located just in front of the hotel. Convenient stores are also located nearby. Polite staff, neat and clean room. Breakfast menu was fixed but the taste was good. Definitely recommend.

My initial intent was to stay in the vicinity of Shinjuku Station. However, after reading good reviews of Sotetsu Grand Fresa Takadanobaba, I decided to give it a try. It was a big risk because I booked for 11 nights, and it is 2 train stations away from my usual haunt in Shinjuku. However, after getting to the hotel, I felt relieved because the hotel is situated right beside the station that was served by 3 train lines (JR Yamanote, Seiyu, Metro Tozai). Getting to Shinjuku, Harajuku or Shibuya was an easy 5 to 15 mins ride on Yamanote Line. It being right beside the station also meant that I don't have to walk far every night after a long day's shopping and adventure. There's a 24hr Don Quijote right beside the hotel. I visit it every night to buy bottled water, beer and sweet potato. A sushi chain Kura is also there. I stayed in both an Economy Double and Twin Rooms. The Double Room is bigger than most rooms in Shinjuku and at a cheaper price. The rooms are also fantastically clean and new. The toilet is also bigger than others. If I have nip pick, then it is the fact that the hotel is not served by any Airport Limousine Express Bus. nevertheless, I'll definitely stay at this place again. After visiting Japan more than 15 times, this hotel is one of my top favourite for a balance between location, standard, pricing and surrounding shops.

Love this place!! Super clean! Unlimited amenities, they are so generous! Toothbrush, toothpaste, hot tea, soap, shampoo, bathtub soap, facial mask, hair tie!! Omg too many! The staff are so friendly too! The location is great! The train station is next door--literally 10 steps away. As well as a strip of restaurants, markets, Starbucks, kfc, alot!

BAD experience, unfriendly staff”
1.The staff is NOT HELPFUL at all. Simple as calling a restaurant to reserve a seat is not welcomed. 2. BAD in-room facilities - e.g. bad drainage in the bathroom. Need to clean it by ourselves 3.The quality of the pillows are totally UNACCEPTABLE, both the size and the softness. I cannot even have a well sleeping time in one single night. 4.NOT even have one bottle of water will be provided. 5.One friendly remind, JUST feel free to order the breakfast voucher/ package if you want a DISAPPOINTING EXP. with extremely bad service. It's a really rare that we can have such poor hospitality experience in Japan!

Located just near the Takadanobaba st. Felt a little bit awkward with the self check-in/out at first, it turned out to be quicker than usual. Not a place like a Shinju-level of sophistication, it has almost everything around the hotel.
