The best place to stay in Trang An!”
This was one of the best places I've stayed at in Vietnam. The room is incredibly clean, spacious, and comfortable. The views of the limestone cliff mountains right outside your window is something I'll never forget. It was amazing to wake up to nature surrounding you every morning. The room has great natural light and tons of amenities, including great Wi-Fi, a mini fridge, big bathroom with free toiletries, chairs to sit on, strong AC and fan, and a super comfortable large bed. The location is fantastic, right in the heart of Trang An and nearby lots of tourist attractions. The place includes an outdoor swimming pool with beautiful views, a restaurant/bar on site, laundry services, motorbike rentals, everything you could need. There are tons of options for breakfast (which is included) and all of the food they serve is delicious!! In fact, I ate here many days/nights in a row. Last but not least, Yen (the host) is incredibly kind, thoughtful, and responsive. She works hard every single day and will go out of her way to make you feel welcome and comfortable. She really does take the time to accommodate all of her guests from start to finish, and always has a smile on her face. I will miss this place dearly. 10/10 recommend!

Beyond amazing”
I've stayed in several hotels, homestays, guesthouses from N. to S. Vietnam and this homestay is the best place ever, even better than hotels. From the moment we arrived, the owner received us warmly and we were given iced tea to drink. While waiting for them to get our rooms ready (we arrived before the check in time but were allowed to check in early without extra charge), the owner gave us a map and gave a thorough explanation on the places to go and things to take note off so we don't get scammed. The room was so big, spacious, clean and beautiful. The toilet was clean, toiletries were provided. The bed was comfy. The big window made the room bright and the view of the mountain was beautiful. Breakfast was amazing. We had dinner at the restaurant too and the portions were generous. Great ambience in the restaurant. Great place to chill. Owner arranged our transport to Hanoi. A pity we only stayed for a night. Would definitely stay here again if I were to visit Ninh Binh again.

Yen has been an Angel for the whole trip”
Absolute best accomodation we had in Southeast Asia so far. Yen is an incredible host who helps you with everything! When you arrive she gives you a map and highlights all the good places nearby. The rooms are super clean and very comfortable, the Shower is awesome and the food is delicious. When my girlfriend got sick she even drove us to the hospital and stayed with us until the middle of the night to translate and make sure we get a good room with a bed. Shortly afterwards I got sick aswell and not only did Yen drive to the hospital again to bring us some of our stuff and help translate again, she borrowed us some money as we couldn't get to an ATM. There was nothing Yen didn't help us with and if we ever get back to Ninh Binh we will definitely be staying at Ha lan homestay!!!!! Yen went beyond all our expectations and I don't think you will find a better host anywhere in Vietnam! Thank you for everything, Yen!

Best place for a loner”
If you are a group of youth looking for fun every night this may not the perfect accommodation. But if you are a seclusive loner or a couple who wish to have time only to themselves Ha Lan Homestay is the perfect joint. Within walking distance from Hang Mua, this place is convieniently situated among all the tourist spots. Yen, the owner is very kind and keen to help you anytime. Rooms are not fancy or anything, but are kept clean and bugs-free with an immaculate bathroom. I almost fogot to mention the foods they serve. I would definitely come back with my family and sincerely hope this will help the future comers and the homestay.

Lovely family and beautiful room”
We messed up our booking as we got the night bus from Hue and booked for the night we were travelling so when we arrived it was a slight surprise but they manged to accomodate us for the two nights we wanted to stay. The room was beautiful and very clean, air-con and fan so never to hot. Free water, tea and coffee plus a fridge in the room. Views of the limestone karsts from our room and the roof top were beautiful. We rented bicycles and cycled around the whole time we were there. Even got invited to a family dinner which was amazing, very friendly and welcoming family. Would highly recommend!

My boyfriend and I had a great stay in Ha Lan Honestay. The rooms were beautiful, clean and had a great view over wide fields and trees. Yen (the owner of the homestay) and we’re really kind and friendly. Also they gave us many good advices and support for exploring Ninh Binh. If you rent a motorbike you can’t easily drive in a few minutes to the must-seen places in Ninh Binh. We really enjoyed our trip and will totally recommend Ha Lan homestay to everyone.

Yen (the owner) was incredible! She helped with my Grab to ensure i wasn't overcharged and gave me reccommendations on the attractions. The hospitality of Yen and her family was heart warming. Locationwise, 30mins by foot to Trang an, 30mins by foot to Hang mua. She also offers bicycle and motorcyle rental. Facility-wise, the room was clean, bright and her little restaurant served up amazing food! Highly reccommended! Would definitely stay here again when back in Ninh Binh

Exceptional”
We’ve been traveling for almost 6 months throughout Southeast Asia and this is the best place we’ve stayed at. The reviews are true. Yen (I’m probably misspelling that, sorry!) is great! She’s gives you the full rundown of the area/common tourist sites, what to look for, when to go, which to cut out if on limited time. Yen and the rest of the staff are friendly and very accommodating. Her guesthouse also has the best restaurant in the area. We just couldn’t find anything better. It’s hard to narrow down where to stay in Ninh Binh b/c they all have great reviews for this price range. You won’t regret staying at Ha lan. Just book it.

We stayed at ha lan homestay for 3 nights. The family is outstanding friendly and helpful at any time. The breakfast is tasty and the room was quite new and very clean. The communication (English) worked also much better than anywhere else in Vietnam (from our experience)! :)) It was a lovely stay and we would definitely come back and recommend to stay there!! We are welcome by the lady owner who is friendly and informative. She provide us a map and come up with suggestions on where to visit based on the days we have there. The food here is good and is convenient since we don’t have to travel to eat. They provide services such as bicycle/motorcycle rental, tour, transport, money exchange and etc. The location is great as it is in the centre to most places and very peaceful. The owner is very kind to provide us raincoat when it rains and also the conical hat :)

Amazing stay”
Ha Lan Homestay started as a restaurant one year ago. We were one of the first customers (the homestay opened less than a month before our stay). The owner is super nice, the rooms are beautiful and location is great (not too touristy, in a smaller village). The included breakfast alone was worth a stay :-p. We highly recommend this place and the `Trang An village. We loved it so much we stayed for an extra night. FYI they also rent bicycles and scooters, which is a must to visit the Ninh Binh area.

Worth for staying”
Reasonable prices and good services. The host, she is very helpful and enthusiastic. She supported us a lot. Location is very convenient to visist all the must-see places. There is almost restaurant here. So we had lunch here. The food is not really special, but good. The local food didnt meet my expectation. But, the price is inexpensive. In short, we had a very comfortable stay here. Thank for your hospitability, Yen. I highly recommend.
