We stayed one night at the Hakata Nakasu Inn before we moved here. After we entered the Excel Tokyu Hotel, we regretted a lot why we did not reserve the room for two nights at this hotel. Room condition was great and the staffs were very kind. There was a staff who speaks Korean. I will definitely stay this hotel again if I have a chance to visit Fukuoka again.

I would have given the area 5 stars for it's proximity to the best ramen in the universe Ramen Unari but basically everything else but just in the corner is a girly bar...and several others scattered in the area. For a bunch of girls like us, it isn't very ideal. Still the staff was super accommodating, the rooms were very clean although the bathroom seemed like it was built for hobbits it had all the bells and whistles and I especially love their shampoo! I would stay here again, I'll just remember to steer clear of some areas at night when the old boys come out to play.

I visited Fukuoka twice within 3 months and Hakata Excel Hotel did leave me a super good impression. The location is supreb with a lot of shops and resaurant, and it's not far away from either Tenjin nor Hakata!! Walking distance, trust me on this. Staff are nice and the room is enough clean... I do wish the heater can do better cause I did feel a little bit cold at night... Love this place!

If you'd like to Fukuoka, but you don't have much time, this hotel is for you. Just one thing is not satisfactory - there was no gym in the hotel. I couldn't find it. But you have a lot of walking schedule if you are traveling, so, just skip the exercise one or two days!

I like the hotel very much because of its location which is near the hakata station, canal city and the shopping center. The hotel is clean and comfortable and the price for a triple room is reasonable. There is a family mart near the hotel and the Ichiran food restaurant is just across the family mart. You can take the bus 77 in going to Fukuoka Tower for 290 yen and travel time is 20minutes in good traffic condition. I highly recommend this hotel to all first time traveler to Fukuoka.

I did pay quite a lot for a late booking so not sure on value for money. The rooms were a good size and view of river. Excellent location if you want to bar Hope I this night life area but also great location for shopping and stations etc but most of the city can be walked in 15 minutes. Really good staff. I was disappointed when I went for lunch that it was booked out.

The location is very convenient. You have to walk only a minute to get the hotel from the nearest subway station. A downtown called Tenjin（天神）is just on the opposite side of the river. The hotel itself is in Nakasu（中州）, the biggest entertainment district in Kyushu. The facility is a little old, but well maintained.You would feel the pride of a traditional brand from its service quality.
