Great first Onsen experience”
We booked this room on Agoda because the price was significantly better than other sites for the same room and it was a room with a private bathroom and Onsen (natural spring hot tub). I don't know if every room has a private one. Ours was listed as "Open Air Spa Deluxe Japanese Style Room". You have to roll out your own bed on the grass floor. The shower is outside next to the Onsen, but there is a sink and toilet inside. This hotel is about a 10 minute walk from Gora train station. You can download maps.me to help you find it, but there's a little information both at Gora train station and the person there spoke English and told us how to find it. It's pretty easy, although the walk is up hill. There are a couple restaurants within walking distance, but if you want to eat at the hotel you MUST book in advance. We ate at a restaurant in town and it was good. Read up on Ryokan/Onsen so you know what to expect. Overall, I'd highly recommend this place, but know that it's quite simple.

Exceptional”
Nice tatami room, big one. I stay at the one with private onsen inside the room. Free drink machine at the lobby. Free to borrow kimono. Separate public onsen for male and female. The downside is the location is uphill from Gora Station, so if you want to stay here with big luggages please use taxi or ask for pick-up. Trust me, it is very exhausting to drag 2 28" luggages to hotel from station (personal experience) and from the station you need to go down and up stairs a bit to go here. But the hotel itself is very nice, friendly staff, good private onsen =)

Comfortable relaxing and welcoming!”
We were attended to by a staff member named Daiki. From the very start he was so friendly, helped us to settle in well and answered all our questions with great knowledge and patience. We also didn’t know much about Hakone and when we asked what things we could do and places to see, he was very informative and took the time to help us plan our stay in Hakone and even gave us recommendations of places to see in other Japanese places that we were planning to visit. I highly recommend this place and we would definitely be coming back!

Open air onsen is excellent”
The best part of this hotel is open air private onsen. It is really comfortable and the view is not bad. We went there in march, it was pretty cold, washing outside sounds crazy, but the water is hot enough to keep us warm. Red bathtub is weird, but it is big enough to fit two normal size people. there is a place you can put sake and food. I have to say, onsen + sake is haven!!! Hotel provide good quality face cream. However, if your room don't have a onsen, I don't recommend to book this hotel. Location is bad, you have to walk 20 mins to closest convenient shop, very few restaurants nearby and most of them close around 5pm. Staff speak a little English and Chinese. Room is big but not clean.

Nice ryokan in hakone-gora area”
We stay in this ryokan for 2 days, the room were large, public bath was nice and open for the hotel guest only. Breakfast and Dinner were superb. Overall it was a pleasant stay.

Good staff make a difference”
We stayed there for 2 nights and our experience was superb. The breakfast and dinner serve there are local Japanese cruisine and its a must try. We enjoyed our stayed there. Special thanks to Daiki-San who took care most of our needs.

Fantastic loaction, fantastic staff”
Although a bit dated, our experience here was first rate. The staff were so helpful and willing to help. And having a private open-air bath to soak in was heavenly. Traditional Japanese breakfast and dinner was also exceptional.

Hotel un peu loin des transports en commun. Les parties communes et les chambres auraient bien besoin d’être rénovés : il y a comme un laisser aller assez étonnant... le grand aventage de cet hôtel, ce sont ses baignoires Onsen sur les balcons face à la montagne....

交通上面註明離車站約十分鐘路程,但並沒有寫都是上山爬坡十分鐘,根本不只十分鐘,我們詢問飯店是有固定時間接送,因為時間沒搭上我們只好拖著行李上山,沿路非常傾斜的坡,我們一度懷疑導航有問題,推行李上坡更是難上加難,如果同行都是女生建議要先聯絡好,要不然沿路都沒人真的很恐慌,住上來也因為方圓百里都沒有食物建議要自己準備,餐廳部份我們沒有去吃所以不知道口味如何 飯店內該有的設施都有,不知道是沒什麼人住還是我們起來時間很早,大眾湯屋都沒有看到別人,溫泉只有室內沒有戶外,飲料方面可自取選擇很多,房間很寬敞,飯店服務人員相當親切是唯一直得安慰的事情
